  1. OK, we've only been there with the kids twice. They love MK, DHS, and AK, but I have trouble getting them to spend much time in EPCOT. We enjoy Soarin, and they always want to do the boat ride in that same building (can't remember the name). I'd like to get them more involved next time we go there. I'd like to walk around the world showcase, and I know there is more to be explored in the front section of the park. What do I use to entice them to spend more time exploring here?
  2. I have a lot of them, but Big Thunder Mountain has a special place in my heart. We took the kids to The World in '08. My oldest was 10 at the time. She wanted to ride BTMRR, but was afraid of it. After waffling for days, she and I rode it when we were at MK for evening magic hours. She loved it so much that we went back to MK at rope drop our last day and rode it 10 times in a row, until my coffee kicked in and I had to find a bathroom. When I got out the lines were forming and we didn't want to wait in them. It turned her into a roller coaster fiend. It's good, in the sense that we have had s
  3. Welcome to the party!! Feel free to drop in long and often.
  4. Hey tungpo! A quick bump of the respect-o-meter for ya!
  5. Seafood plus a whole lot more. Bruce should enjoy it.
  6. Same here Dan. Keep posting whatever you wish. You are one of th eones I was worried about, but I can't do PM's over there any more. Good to have you here, man. Lean on us whenever you wish.
  7. How much does it cost to ride the train? Will it drop us off at River Country? We decided to take DD to River Country on our next trip. I know that she'll love it! River Country is closed, Dear. You'll have to go to Typhone Logone You know I couldn't let this one go.... Is there a full day exciment at Typhone Logone?? :monocle: No, but there's a full day of excrement wherever Al is staying.
  8. We went without the DDP last Spring, even though we were in a resort. We can easily feed all 5 of us for 2-3 CS meals, and we used our Visa points and a $500 gift card from WDW to pay for the TS meals we ate. When we used the DDP we had several credits left over, even though we ate like pigs all week, so it didn't seem to make sense money-wise.
  9. I did manage to get some of that in, to be sure.
  10. Somehow my oldest daughter and I turned a bowl of mashed potatos at dinner into memories of hitting E.E. at rope drop one morning last Spring. Now we're homesick and ready to go back.
  11. We tried that for the first time last Spring. Gotta admit, we loved it. Could have been that it was the day we got there, had been traveling since 4:30, and would have happily eaten our socks. It was just plain good, though. A lot of choices. Not just seafood, though that was good. The kids went back almost as many times as I did. It's expensive, no doubt, even for Disney, but they got 10 thumbs up from us.
  12. I'll admit to being a bit sentimental about it. My first Disney trip was to The World when we lived in Florida, but my first trip as an adult was when we took the kids to Anaheim in 2004. We had so much fun we went back again the next year. It's smaller and more landlocked, so it couldn't sprawl as much. But, somehow all the non-Disney stuff around it made it even more fun. I just wish we had made it to the science museum that we passed coming in from the airport. Who's been to DL, and do you ever want to go back?
  13. The first time we went to Disneyland our kids were 2, 4, and 6. Don't aske me how we did it, but we survived, even went back again the next year. I have to admit, as big a PITA as the stroller was, it made a fine place to stash stuff so you didn't have to carry it.
  14. Hi Rebel! They copied your post over on the UNDis. Good for you! I didn't get the chance after I agreed with Judy's post asking WMKathy to leave the board alone. Has anyone seen JudyinTX? Steve Good thought Steve. I can't get on the DIS any more, is there any one who can PM Judy?
  15. Ken, one of these days I have to meet you and Judy. The Fiends ate the Fort lit the boards up after meeting the two of you, bummed me out that I missed out on it. As a nurse whose job is to make people's lives as normal as possible after an injury, I am in awe that you can do what you do. And, from what I hear, you do it well.
  16. My wife was in a masochistic mood today, so she made pasta shells, stuffed with veggies and cheese. I'm so full I'm sick, but it was worth it.
  17. Good thing, too. My nausea-o-meter was spiking from all that gush.
  18. Who needs a parade. You should have it on your cart every time you are at the Fort, or anywhere else, for that matter.
  19. My wife's cousin and her husband retired to Hawaii. What are you looking for, and I can try to tap into their experiences.
  20. It was taken before the morning makeup was applied.
  21. Absolutely freaking brilliant. Make sure Jena nd Chris are ready for that, though, before you do it.
  22. I'm HotPants4Ever over there. Colme on over, just don't blow my cover. They think I look like Dolly Parton.
  23. That was sarcastic and unnecessary. Good for you. btw, welcome to the dark side Mom. We'll get you, and your husband too, before we're done. We're out to corrupt the world.
