  1. I rode that about 10 times before we finally saw a picture at the end that I had my eyes OPEN in...
  2. I wish we could get back to punishing the person who breaks the rules instead of punishing everyone but that person...
  3. I haven't used them, but they were recommended by some of the regulars at FW for parts and service in the WDW area: Camping Connection 9140 W Irlo Bronson Meml Hwy Kissimmee, FL 34747-1002 (407) 397-2267
  4. One comment that pops up w/Kenny is that he doesn't always call back right away. When we used him, once we set up the dates, we didn't hear from him again until the day before. Kenny is a great guy and will try and do anything to help, but as with others my take was that he is VERY busy and seems to concentrate most of his attention on what he needs to do the next day or two. Thats a good sign that his business is doing well. We will use him again for sure.
  5. We noticed a TT in the 900 loop last month that looked like a rental. I think it was the one TCD had posted a picture of. It had a Lazy Days inventory sticker on the front. While we there we saw it being used by at least 3 different families. In between it sat empty. Don't know if this was a rental thru Lazy Days or some other company?
  6. I've stayed at the Beach Club before. Like others have said, nice, but not home. We visited the Boardwalk last month as part of our resort hopping. Loved the little bar where the antique radios next to the tables play old time radio shows Also loved the men's room where they have the crates of rolled up small hand towels right there for the taking! I was able to get enough of them for me to dry off at the FW pool the next day...... :parrot:
  7. Hey, what's up w/all the equipment I saw parked in the 3000 loop 2 weeks ago? It was the weekend, so I couldn't see what they were going to be doing. Anyone staying in 3000 now that could give us an update??? :parrot:
  8. Thanks Lisa :) and thanks to all those on here who's pictures I "borrowed" :) I might be brave enough now to attempt one with real pics....
  9. Hi! Thought I would give this a try after being inspired by TCD, Lisa and so many others. It's my first attempt, so keep that in mind if it seems a little "off" from the others..... Ok, here we are just entering the fort: Do you like our new Camper? Its great for working off the GiddyUpandGo's but my wife refuses to drive the thing.... I'm not sure why. Ok, well anyway we get shown to our site which is right near the entrance sign: We even got a wreath to put on our golf cart  So, of course we have to take the cart looping right? So off we go to see the sites. The first thing we
  10. Did the Judge mention that her name was Kathy? Did she say anything about getting orders from a cruise ship?? :siren:
  11. We used Kenny a couple of weeks ago. We made the ressie w/ his wife. He called us a day or two before we got there to ask when we would arrive. He met me just outside the overflow lot so I could let him in. (my card opened the overflow gate). Then he called the last day and had me drop it off at the bus stop cart parking up front so he could get it later. Great cart, great price and great service.
  12. Oh? Is there a story or TR in that comment?:) This next week will be our first visit for this year and we are looking forward to about three more at our home away from home! B-B-B I was going to do one (my first) for the "board that must not be named". As soon as I get my pics over to photobucket (never used it before) I will do one here
  13. I agree. The last 2 trips I have noticed the same thing. They seem to use the 2000 loop as overflow for the Group area..... at least on the weekends. 1500 was MUCH quieter both times although 2000 was fine and almost empty during the week. This last MLK weekend was beyond crazy. A group called the "Shamrock Families" took over half of the 2000 loop. We could hear their music and car horns over in the 900 loop! When I spoke with a Worker Bee she said they were put in the 2000 loop because the Group area was full..... Donnie is right tho, there are some nice sites in 2000 right along the can
  14. Had a severly cracked w/s when we arrived at the Fort in January. It was on the drivers side and had to be fixed before the trip home. We got the number for Camping Connection from the "board which will not be named" and they do not do RV Windshields, but they recommended: D & K Enterprises RV Windshield Replacement 727-442-2767 727-442-3187 The owner Don Chambers has over 20 yrs experience with RV windshields. A call to them got me an appointment a few days later to allow time for the glass to arrive. Don and his worker bee came right to our site at the Fort and did an outstanding job rep
  15. Hi BBB, As the Security tells you as you enter the Fort: Welcome Home! :D We just got back and had 2 Chihuahuas as well :) and 2 black labs, and a 10 month old :o And we lived to tell about it :yay:
  16. The office and the gated entrance (keycard) are behind the "El Drug Store" which is on the left just after you pull in. Next to the Myrtle Beach Shop. Just pull around between and behind the buildings (plenty of room) and you will see it. As noted above, it is dated but clean and easy to get in and out. Once you are parked you would never know that you are just steps from one of the most amazing collections of Neon, Sombreros. greasy food and every souvenir known to man. I Love it! :D
  17. We have stayed at both. New Green Acres is a standard stop, as you say its not the Fort but its got big sites and is clean and has late check-in. SOB is also a good stop. Until you find and enter the campground you wouldn't know it was there. Its also got lots of pull throughs and clean bathrooms. Its also wooded and mostly very quiet. A surprise given where it is.
  18. That sounds great Jay. Have you checked the websites of 2 other couples RV fulltime: Living the RV Dream and The RV Navigator if you google either one they will pop right up They both do great podcasts about their travels and both can be found on ITunes for free.
  19. The lobby of the new DVC resort next to FW.... TCD and ShanMan can point the way
  20. Thats just what I am doing in between checking the board So much for my day off...... oh well, as my grandfather used to say: its better than a kick in the pants!
  21. Hey, Steve, you live up the road apiece from me. I'm in Plymouth! :) Hi Ursula!! Great weather huh? NOT! We just got back from the Fort last week and now are wondering WHY we left Florida...... :o
  22. as security tells you when you enter the Fort: Welcome Home! :o :) :) :) :)
  23. Is that another badge of honor? I went over and read it the post at Undis.... they really didn't get my intention, did they? yeah, thats a tough crowd over there..... Hey Lisa, we need another badge of honor over here! :) Steve
  24. Good news, she made it over from the dark side on her own She hasn't seen this yet I guess. Steve
