  1. I like the beer tap sites in the 3000 loop. When I can't get in there I try to get a site that backs up to one of the canal/dog walking paths. Great for the dogs and/or a quick walk in the AM, also use as shortcuts to other loops etc.
  2. I didn't know they had made a movie based on the ride in Mexico/Epcot, is Eddie Murphy in it?
  3. I know it's a sensitive subject, but the 10 people per site rule coupled with Disneys erratic enforcement of the rules of behavior at the Fort have led to Groups both formal and informal running roughshod over other paying guests. The group I mentioned above made life miserable for the rest of the 2000 loop the entire time they were there. The Fort did not step in until complaints about their loudspeakers (big ones on tripods) drew complaints from other loops..... They never did do anything about them blocking the road to the point where cars were driving on the grass across the middle of
  4. And they cram close to a 100 people and kids on to 7 or 8 sites. Happens several times a year with different groups but Disney lets them come back over and over. Based on what I saw last time you should have been comped the whole week.......
  5. As a confirmed meatatarian I have but one question: How can anything be bad if it has cheeseburger in it? :D
  6. The time to worry is when you see them using one site for a huge kitchen and they put up a large set of loudspeakers, a big banner and set up their dozens of chairs in the middle of the road.......
  7. It mentions adding Jack Sparrow in 2006 but I thought they had changed the boats at some point recently as well?
  8. I'm not sure if it's a good thing or a bad thing that Disney has not made some of the campsites in the Fort part of the DVC. One of the reasons I've never considered DVC is because we would always be there in our camper.
  9. Oh no, another "Is it worth it" thread.......
  10. Agreed, that is disgusting. I did see some of the rental tents on the group site last year and they were larger, very clean, and had bunk beds set up in them. Not sure if you can request what size you get. As far as tents at FW goes, after a Disney tree fell on my Class C while parked in the 1900 loop a few years ago I would never sleep in a tent there. The tree demolished the top bunk area I can only imagine what the same thing would do to a tent....
  11. Disney is reflecting a generational change in America. Seems like the newer generations are much more willing to have a larger "authority" take away choices as long as they will make the decisions for them. And you have an insulated elite more than happy to make those choices for us in spite of the fact that they don't know what the hell they are doing..........
  12. My guess is that just like the new "trees" at the Fort they are new cell towers reserved solely for guests of the Four Seasons......
  13. Glad to hear I wasn't losing my mind (at least for now...) and thanks to TCD for getting out his purple crayon to help set things right in the Universe once again :D
  14. Maybe I missed the memo, but I thought the new outer circle was supposed to be......... a circle? As in go all the way around? Did they change plans or did I misunderstand?
  15. Sounds like they are filling a vacuum that Disney has been unwilling to fill, namely building parks that are easier to get to for a large part of the country...... Not sure how serious they are though: "inspired by the artwork of Thomas Kinkade" !?!?!
  16. A couple of other considerations: The smaller AC will be easier to run off of a portable gen if you ever need to boondock or wallydock. Also having two smaller AC's comes in handy if one goes down at a bad time, or if you just want the bedroom cool at night and don't need to cool the whole rig. We have a 30amp motorhome w/ 2 ACs and it has worked well for us. We have all of the different adaptors and have used all of them at one time or another......
  17. Agree with this. The Jayco will be the better buy if you can negotiate the price down.
  18. My understanding is that all rigs over 40ft in length were going to be put in the 3000 loop once it opens (but with free valet parking included!).......
  19. The Republicans aren't trying to defund all of Hollywood Studios, just that gate in the back near the Tower of Terror where all the illegal cast members have been coming in and the president is greeting them with free annual passes......
  20. One of the reasons I like the season passes is because it removes a lot of the stress of having to be somewhere, or do something that day. When the idiots start to get to us, we just leave, knowing that we can come back some other time when it's less crowded (hopefully!) It does seem like there are more and more of them though....
  21. We always made a point of getting the parking pass. It didn't always work, but it was useful enough to make it worth bringing. Is there any other type of reserved parking pass taking its place?
  22. We get 3 different Disney Channels (DirecTV) one is Disney Junior which we watch most, it is for the pre-school kids (Jake and the Neverland Pirates, Octonauts, Doc McStuffins, etc.) but we occasionally will watch one of the other two for Star Wars Rebels (he can't get enough of that) but we have to be careful to change back afterwards because of the other stuff they have on there now....
