  1. But do they still have a Free beer tent in the middle? That made the whole experience better in some way that I couldn't quite put into words.....
  2. We had a great time at Dinosaur World a few years ago. Right off I-4 between Disney and Tampa: http://dinosaurworld.com/florida/
  3. Great news! Did he get the fogged windows fixed or will that be on your to-do list? And most important, were you able to get a last-minute site at the Fort?? :D
  4. What do you think of the list so far? Anymore must do's? We will absolutely be printing this out for the next trip :D
  5. My inlaws have had good luck w/ the propane powered type traps. They put 2 or 3 around the property and catch a ton of mosquitos w/ them. Downside is they are semi-pricey for the good ones, and they require emptying the traps and keeping the propane bottles from running out.
  6. You're right, there's always someone to rain on a parade! IMHO if you are in traffic and doing 5-10 mph there's no issue w/ using the bathroom. In fact one of the best things about having a motorhome is being able to switch drivers while stopped in traffic so that I can go....... :D
  7. All depends on price and condition. Winnebago makes a good product, they will still be in business if you need parts, and they have all the past product info online for free: http://winnebagoind.com/product-resources/product-information
  8. Yeah something else huh? I wish I had read them before getting it.... Besides Tink being hardly in it, ( and the monster killing fairies left and right.... kidding! sort of..... ) another thing my son noticed was no Terrance or any other male character that I recall.
  9. All right this quickly got out of control! Thanks for all the great suggestions people! I know I am going to have to run and bike extra miles during and after my next trip Mo! How am I supposed to put all these great suggestions on one pocket-sized list?? Bear with me as I add them to the top post as I get to them..... that seems to be the best way to do it......
  10. Ok, started one for food, we'll see how it goes. Would be great to have a pocket list of not to miss tastes around the world. CindyMac, your turn to list the cheese! :D
  11. Thought it would be nice to try and start a list of "MUST DO" menu items found around the World. If this works, it will be something you could print out and take with :D List your favorite food/menu item that you think everyone should try at least once on their next trip. Also don't forget Where? and Why? I'll start with: WHAT: WHERE: WHY: DOLE WHIP!! Aloha Isle Adventureland MK Di
  12. I just did! DOLE WHIP! Don't miss it! Why? because its DOLE WHIP! Where would such a list be best posted? And should it just be food?
  13. I had forgotten about the Communicore's but now that you say it I remember going there in high school and using the giant AT&T phone to call home with LOL! I also remember other companies sponsoring exhibits and showing off their latest and greatest. :D
  14. I have never heard of that, thanks for the tip I will try it next trip for sure. We should have a master list of things not to miss at WDW. (DOLE WHIP! I said it first! ) Maybe listed by each park. Sounds like this should be on the EPCOT list. I still miss the old Akershus when you could go in and order multiple main dishes at one meal, which encouraged you to try new things.
  15. Thanks Carol, glad you like it, I still don't know why Ford stopped making them. BTW you can tow them 4-down if it is the 4wd version you just have to get the "Neutral switch kit" from Ford and have it installed, it's the same one for the Explorers. If we do get one I might look into one of those folding golfcarts.
  16. That's after the EPIC Light-Saber duel between Darth and Olaf back at the castle in Arrendel......
  17. Chances that it will be Star Wars and/or Frozen related? 100 percent.
  18. We have had DIRECTV for years and will take the extra receiver with us when travelling. The only drawback is that our older portable dish will only get the SD channels now that Directv uses 2 satellites. If you want Directv HD programs you have to get the newer dish that can "see" both satellites at the same time. I believe that rules out all the automatic dishes..... Also, Verizon does do bundles with DIRECTV. We have one for home ohone/cell phones/internet/TV. But I think it's only in areas that can't get FIOS.
  19. Yes, preview it first. My 5yr old loves the Tinkerbell movies and watches them over and over (along w/ the Cars and Planes movies of course.......oh and that other one he watches all the time, something about snow and ice..... ) We got this one the first day and when it ended he said he never wanted to see it again. That was after he had run from the room several times in fright! It is a distinct departure from the other Tink movies. I have no idea what Disney was thinking with this except to make a quick and last buck off the franchise (This is reported to be the last of the Tink mo
  20. Double Bingo!! My school projects were on Apollo and the Moon Landings. My heroes were the Astronauts, and as I learned more, the Engineers behind them. It was an amazing time and I am so grateful to have been alive for that. I am still wondering how in the hell we went from that high point to bumming rides from the Russians to get to our own space station......... I wish my kid could grow up with that same sense of wonder and expectation. One of the reasons we want to homeschool is to keep him immersed in a positive outlook for our country's past and most especially its future f
  21. All caught up finally, thanks for the great TR. Especially great pics! :D BTW, how have you liked your Ford Sport-Trac? I have been looking for a used one to maybe replace our Jeep as a Toad. Will a golf cart fit in the bed?
  22. I've said the same thing. The schools I went to were not perfect but I wish I could send my son back in time to go there now. Not only optimism for the future, but a general can-do / no-nonsense attitude that if you had the motivation and a positive outlook you could go anywhere and do anything. Now the only place kids know for sure they can go is to jail if they violate one of the new PC thought police rules......
  23. Innoventions reflected the original spirit of Epcot as it was intended by Walt and the Imagineers back then. The Disney of today has ADD and would never consider building something inspirational and educational like Horizons, Wonders of Life and Innoventions. They don't understand that Epcot doesn't have to have a thrill ride or a movie tie-in every 20 feet to be an exceptional experience......
