  1. Thanks guys... I thought they all had the longer tables. Seems like everytime we've been we've had one of those.
  2. Okay, dumb question. Can someone tell me how long the picnic tables are at the Fort? Someone local with a tape measure? :)
  3. Problem with the love bugs is their guts are so acidic they will eat paint and decals in no time. I should have learned my lesson from living in South Alabama, but I guess a decade and a half living in north alabama made me forget. Wash them off immediately if you want to keep things looking good.
  4. They destroyed the decals on the front of our camper last time we went through them. I should have been more judicious in cleaning them off but was more interested in enjoying the Fort.
  5. I'm hoping those will be long gone when we go down in a couple weeks. I'm going to wax the heck out the front of the camper just in case though!
  6. Ok, back on topic, sorta... We're going to buy an AP for the water parks only. Is that upgradeable to a regular AP later and/or any discounts that can be applied from one of those to the regular AP when it's time to renew? We're not quite ready for a real AP yet (waiting for the kids to get a little taller), but we are not far off now.
  7. Vinylmation trading at WDW is done as of Feb. That makes me mad/sad. I am tempted to take my stock of traders down there and see if I can find anyone that will trade with my in the loops. "WHO NEEDS VINYLMATIONS???"
  8. I'm not sure how they would be able to get rid of freeloaders apart from putting an unsightly fence around the pool area, and I'm definitely against that!
  9. Okay question for all you regulars with kiddos. My wife and I love to eat at Trail's End. Our dear little ones, however, are extremely picky eaters and last time we ate there we paid for the buffet for them both and they didn't eat a thing. Talk about aggravating. So, we were thinking about bringing a couple of PBJ sandwiches for the girls if we go instead of getting them something there. Will they kick us out?
  10. The last time we went to the fort there was a lot of standing water around the 1600 loop, and it wasn't like that for very long! They actually had a pumper truck going around to all the places with standing water and vacuuming it up.
  11. Even with the "extras," it's still spendy IMO. On top of that, I can imagine what the additional gratuities are on a cruise of that length.
  12. Just bought our tickets for Oct 6 and 8! Yeah, that's right, TWO nights of not-so-scariness!
  13. We had a 2002 Coleman Sun Valley before our current camper. It was a great camper and I liked most things about it. Plenty of room inside and big beds. We did have crazing/cracking on the ABS roof that's typical of the ABS roofed models, but must have been minor in our case as we never had any issues with leaks. IMO a screen room or add-a-room for a pop up is a great addition since they are limited on floor space inside the camper. We loved ours and is the one thing we tend to miss with our hybrid camper (one of these days)...I also miss being able to get 15mpg pulling it vs the 10mpg we get w
  14. Still got it? Does it only work for the premier card?
  15. Seeing that Starcraft reminds me of when I was a kid... my Grandparents had one.
  16. So was this planned, or is this the reaction to a death of instructor on the speedway? EDIT: guest wasn't killed, only instructor.
  17. So you're saying I won't be able to hear anymore race track noise at the campground?
  18. I am a big TRON fan, and I approve of the new Test Track. I think it's a nice punchy facelift for the old ride.
  19. In Alabama, ours are De Soto State Park, and Honeycomb Campground (a TVA run campground). Monte Sano is decent if you're looking for somewhere close (in) to Huntsville. I haven't been in many many years but I have some fond memories of visiting Lakepoint Resort State Park in Eufaula as a kid as well.
  20. I really have to question how this survey was conducted. After being party to the test trial of the Magic Bands/Fast Pass+ and our horrible experience then and seeing that survey, there was effectively no way to criticize the program at all.
  21. They restored one of these things on Wheeler Dealers a while back and I thought it was cool...but like everyone else, only way I'm paying that kind of money is if I can drive it myself...maybe. On the Wheeler Dealers program they flew to central/south florida to buy a project car from a guy there that's big into Amficars. I wonder if he is the one supplying them?
  22. We're from the same place as Carol on the west side of Huntsville. There are a variety of different ways from here to Orlando, and they are all about six of one, half dozen of the other...there's no silver bullet unfortunately. There is no direct way to Atlanta from here, so you either must go to Chattanooga and down to Atlanta, down to Birmingham to Atlanta, or backroads to Adairsville north Atlanta on I-75. The Chattanooga way is 662 miles (est 10:04), Bham/I-20 is the longest, 689 miles (9:56), via Adairsville is the shortest overall, all backroads until an hour north of Atlanta, 622 miles
  23. We have a hybrid as well, and we pretty much leave our washed linens, blankets, and towels in there. We carry out all food items so that pests don't have any source of food.
  24. Here's another... self driving cars. That's one mass transit idea that is still in its infancy... it'd be nice to see a live demo (google car or somesuch). Here's another... augmented/virtual reality system... there's plenty of options that would work...
