You know, I hadn't considered that aspect of living in an RV. I always romaticized it. Now I am very grateful for our backyard.

Could you pack something into the cooler for the ride, like the tent or clothes or towels, then once you get there, put that in the tent and make a Wally World or Publix run for beef and other refrigerated items?

I hear you! I find that if we do school in the morning, so everyone is quiet and sitting still, then I can send them outside in the afternoon and they will happily amuse themselves while I enjoy the quiet house.

I school through the summer so we can have time off during the nice weather of spring and fall and some time around Christmas. OTOH, we will probably do at least some school most days through the "Christmas Break" as it just gives some order to our days.

I have finished teaching school for the day (Christmas season makes for short school days at our house), so an update would would be nice right about now! (Still hoping for a TCD visit, be it ever so brief, during WWW) (Hoping Lou will stop by as well!) (OK, I am hoping to meet lots of Fiends!)

Fried bologna sounds similar to fried Taylor Ham, which is a regional thing in NJ. Of course, they also have the really good sloppy joes, which have no ground beef or tomato sauce. A NJ sloppy joe is ham, roast beef, turkey, and swiss cheese with russian dressing on thinnly sliced buttered rye bread. Makes me hungry just to hink about it. What were we talking about? Oh yes, mac and cheese. For my dd's birthyday one year, we made mac and cheese. We layered it with cut up hot dogs in a can with both ends cut off. Then we put the can in a bowl of tomato soup and slid the can off. DD love

I am sad you will not be at FW during WWW, as that may be my only chance to meet the great TCD. Oh, and i do not think it strange to drive home for Thanksgiving dinner. Lots of people drive hours away for just dinner that day. The only requirement is that you listen to Alice's Restaurant at least once during the trip. Then it is OK. I guess if there are no updates this weekend, it would be a good time to work on Christmas Cards for the Fiends! :)

Loved both the videos! Thank you for posting them! BTW, if you are going to be there in Feb. with barrels for the WW, are you going to let us corrupt the Twins - or are you going to try to explain to Mrs. TCD why you want to go to FW solo during WWW?

I went the second week in November two years ago. It was wonderful! Not too crowded, warm enough for shorts during the day, cool enough for a sweatshirt at night by the campfire. I would avoid the first week in November, as schools in NJ are closed that Thurs. and Fri. so many parents pull the kids out early to enjoy WDW. HTH!

Phew! Finally caught up!! You would think that a lady with a broken foot could sit all day and read TCD TR's. Not so in a house without wireless. I have to wait for a chance to sit at the computer and then I can only sit so long before I need to go back to bed to put my foot up. What a fiend will go through just to get a good TR fix. (And all TCD TR's are good ones!) Shouldn't that be the un-beastly Beast? I have always been troubled that they continue to promote his beastly image after the transformation. OTOH, the unbeastly Beast was way too girly looking for my taste. Amen and Hall

My second favorite campground ever. I love to camp there is I can get a site near the beach. One row off the beach and i get eaten by mosquitos. The big trouble is the good campsites go fast. You really need to book months in advance to get a good campsite. Will you climb the lighthouse? We always enjoy that. Is it too late in the year to see dolphins swimming off the coast? That is a favorite too. Have a great time!!

Sounds wonderful! I went on one cruise in 1999 (so it would be before Y2K!! LOL). I went with two girlfriends and we had a blast. It was on the now derfunct Cape Canaveral Cruise Line. The ship was the Dolphin IV. I think that was one of her last cruises. I had such a good time on a thrid rate ship with a second rate crew, I can't imagine how great a cruise like the one you are planning would be. I hope you have great time!

I read that and my first thought was, "How can I get to Fort for NYE to meet TCD and his famous twins?" Perhaps instead TCD can be persauded to visit over President's Day Weekend.

I have a friend who is planning to stay at Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Resort in January. She and her husband are bringing their son who a college freshman and his best friend. They would like the boys to be able to catch Disney buses to get around for the week. It is my understanding that the resort doesn't use Disney transport. Does anyone know how often their shuttles run and if they seem convenient? Would they be better off walking to DTD and catching Disney transport there? My friend is considering changing to a different resort and i am trying to help her gather the info to make her d
