  1. I love it because it is Disney. I have only been to WDW 4 times. The first two times were just for a day at MK - one when I was in highschool and one with my three oldest children when they were 6, 5, and 3. Then I was able to go in 2010, staying at FW for the first time and taking all six of my children thanks to Give a Day, Get a Day and a cast member I never did met in person who e-mailed me a ticket for my youngest. I didn't see EWP that trip - way too tired at the end of each day. But I heard the music each night after listening to the movie. Then, Loretta made it possible for
  2. Can you use the cards at WDW to pay for lodging? Park tickets? Or is it just for food and souveniers?
  3. A FB friend of mine recently posted a picture of a bunch of Disney gift cards. She posted that she had saved up for her WDW trip by getting some cards through reward programs. I would love to find some of those. Anyone here belong to any programs that reward you with Disney gift cards? The rest she bought when she could get them discounted. I would love to do this as well. Where have you seen discounted Disney gift cards? Yes, I should have asked the friend who posted on FB. But I can't remember which friend it was. My computer doesn't like to scroll back through FB posts. Maybe I
  4. Yes, this definitely is not the cheap way to do it. I just enjoy coordinating the outifts. My daughter has gone out with friends in Disneybound-type outfits, but it is mostly coordinating pieces she has with what she finds at the thrift store. Like she wore gray shirt and skirt with a pink fuzzy bow in her hair to evoke Eeyore.
  5. My daughter is very into Disney bounding. There is a website where you can create outfits - polyvore.com. I have even created some myself. But if I get a vote on Disney's advertising campaign for next year, I would definitely beg them to bring back Give a Day, Get a day so i could bring my crew back to WDW and FW. Here is a link to some outfits I have put together. Not all are Disneybound. http://wildwomenzrule.polyvore.com/?filter=sets
  6. Here is what I found: http://www.disneyeventphotography.com/portraits/ Hope you find what you are looking for!
  7. I believe I still have my collection of 45's, if they escaped the last purge. I know I had some Cher, oh, and a song by David Soul! Anyone remember his claim to fame? (Bonus points for knowing the song he did that made it on the charts) If you would rather not tent camp, why not consider renting a pop-up or moho?
  8. Me! :jumpforjoy I will spend the rest of the day imagining this was true.
  9. I was on the DisBoards, but there were so many rules. It just wasn't fun. I came here and found friends. In fact, I found Fort Fiends! I feel at home here. My recommendation is you find a site with a Fort Fiends sign out and introduce yourself. :welcome:
  10. My arrival routine usually includes some time hopping up and down, dancing with abandon, and shrieking with delight. :jumpforjoy My departure routine includes weeping, wailing, and occasionally involves prying my fingers off a tree. :gaah:
  11. Looks like y'all were having fun! There is still something wrong with the pics, though. It looks like *gasp* Big H is wearing Gamecock wear! That couldn't true, could it? Just teasing! I love y'all inspite of your team choice. :bighug:
  12. I told your idea of a lazy river going through the loops to two of my children. My 14yob thought this was a very "Fort Fiend" idea. Then he suggested the river be made of beer, not water.
  13. Then again, there are many peole adversely affected by artificial scents. It would be very un-Disneylike to alienate a potential revenue stream for something that would not significantly add to their revenue.
  14. Here is a thread I thought would have no interest to me, as I don't have a golf cart. But once again, I learn that you can learn something and be entertained by each and every thread on FF.net. The trouble is, there is so much great content, I can either get my work done, or keep up with everything that gets posted in a day. :panic:
  15. Oh man, I haven't been to Dorney Park since the early 80's. If you were not born then, or just getting out of diapers, i don't want to hear it. I was going to college in bethleslum Bethlehem, PA - memorialized in a Billy Joel song of the same era. Bonus points if you can name the song!
  16. I like Mo happy!! :D Just so you understand my opinion on spreadsheets, I was having a stressful day on Sunday, so I distracted myself by starting to plan exactly what rides to ride in what order to do what Mo, Nicki, and Nicole did ( 24-hours in MK, hitting every ride and attraction) with less walking than they did. This relaxes me.
  17. I would say that is what Fiends do second best. Being generally friendly, really great people seems to be the #1 thing Fiends do best! :D
