I was able to upgrade my ticket and they did give me full gate value, so that was a bit of a savings. The activated it for my last day, so I got two days "free". The downside of doing that is that I don't get the photopass photos from those first two days. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I was very worried about this a fwe weeks ago. I am planning to visit my son for his AIT (Advanced Individual Training) graduation at Fort Sam Houston next month. Up until recently, the deadline for using non-Real ID licenses to enter a military base was July 10, 2017. Just a few days before his graduation. But an extension must have been granted, because now that date is in October. I will probably get a Real ID license when they come out in SC so I can continue to visit my son.

I didn't read all the comments, so forgive me if this had been pointed out before. I think the reason they offered the SOS on Memorial Day was as a salute to the troops who have eaten it in so many mess halls over the years. The chocolate bar was, I believe, a nod to soldiers eating military rations during WWII. In the days before MRE's, soldiers would get daily rations, which always included a chocolate bar.

I am here! Better late than never. Although I missed bragging rights, it's nice to read a large chunk of a TCD TR in one siting. Thanks for bringing us along! Annual pass! That sopunds fabulous! A WDW annual pass is on my bucket list, but so is a DCL cruise. Meanwhile, I'm saving to buy a car with either working windows or AC! LOL

On our way to WWW2017. Sarah and I decided to stop at Character Warehouse. We went to the one on International Drive and then decided that should be close tot he Fort, so we would just follow it until we saw signs for WDW. I didn't realize we had gone to the one at far end! We had a fun time driving International Drive and seeing all the tourist traps along the way. LOL

Not close to the main road and near the comfort station are hard, as the CS is near the road. Have you tried the Fort Fiends app? It might help.
