  1. I'm late, but I am here! Am I the only one who found themselves inhaling deeply to see how the roses smelled? I think I need a vacation before I completely lose my mind. LOL
  2. Echo11 - I'm glad you got your question answered. Hope you have a great trip!!
  3. Glad to learn our favorite busman made it throught the day unscathed. Happy Anniversary!!
  4. I would love to see them! Post pictures here! The best I have done is to sew princess fabric onto my dd's t-shirt to make it into a dress.
  5. Yippee!! :jumpforjoy Another "newbie"! You just earned yourself a TCD Spike, if I am reading the rules correctly. Boy, am I jealous!!
  6. While it was shut, did they let you swim at Wilderness Lodge? That's what they did for us when we were there November 2010. The Meadows Pool was closed for our whole visit, but we did have fun at Wilderness Lodge.
  7. 1500 loop, but that is the only loop I have stayed on. Still, we were just the right distance from the comfort station (site1506), close to the Meadows area, and best of all, at FW! :jumpforjoy
  8. Thank you for the cardinal photos!! My dc and i really enjoyed them. That was also our mini-science lesson for the day.
  9. I would also plan to bring your family over to Wilderness Lodge. My dc loved roaming around it, both inside and out.
  10. FYI - you can bring your own marshmallows, sticks, and whatever else you want to the Chip and Dale Campfire and Sing-along. I haveeven seen people bring hot dogs. OK, we did it too. Much easier than cooking them at the campsite that evening. But I had seen other people do it first! :D
  11. Hot air popped popcorn Book first, Dunkin lemon-filled donuts, but only for extremely special occasions (My dh usually brought me one after each of our babies was born) Wine (any color) or beer Love all WDW transportr because it means I am at WDW Don't really watch sports on TV Dogs Big City trip, esp. London which is also historical Have become a morning person, though I was definitely a night owl in college Usually coffee Horseshoes because I will be less likely to sweat Porta-john, if absolutely necessary Magic Kingdom, because that is the only park I have been to (Boo-hoo, poor me, yadda-y
  12. Any chance you could post photos of the baby cardinals? I would love to see that!
  13. Don, My first trip to FW was in 2010 and we only spent one day out of the five at a park. The rest of the time we went to Downtown Disney, toured some of the other resorts, and enjoyed the Fort. You all should have a blast!! OK, now if I have this next bit wrong, someone correct me!! On the off chance that your campsite is not ready and you are directed to the overflow lot, you are not required to sit there and wait. You and your crew and hop on a FW bus and start exploring. Then, when your site is ready, you can decide if you all want to go get the camper and set up, or if it would be eas
  14. Meeting Lou is on my bucket list. I just have to see if he lives up to his reputation.
  15. My dh is going to Pumpkintown, SC this Friday night to hear some good hillbilly music. I don't think they will wearing overalls, though. Okay, this post is really just to boost my post count and mark my place in the TR. But I couldn't resist the temptation to mention Pumpkintown in a post.
  16. I know I should agree that sleep is overated, especially after seeing how beautiful it is to wander around the Fort early in the morning. But if I don't get enough sleep, I am a cranky momma and then no one has a nice vacation. What i need to do is take a solo trip to the Fort so i can be cranky all by myself. :)
  17. When I had a squirmy toddler, I put him on a leash. My rule was, either stay in the stroller, or wear the leash. Otherwise, we will go home. He knew I meant it, as I always carry through with my threats. I also dress everyone the same for any "field trips". Our first trip to MK, they children all had yellow shirts, red shorts, and white hats. They all had a fanny pack on with a laminated card in it with our cell phone numbers, and the name and number of an emergency contact. First thing we did in MK was show the children the name tags all CM's have to wear. We told them that if Mommy
  18. My stroller tip - yes, there is parking areas for strollers near the rides. Since people are constantly taking their strollers and going, the cast members are always re-arranging the strollers. SO, bring something along to make it easy to identify your stroller. I used decorating ribbon on the handle. Others use bandanas or balloons. Have a great trip!
  19. My 16yodd and i have decided we want to chuck everything and go work for WDW. Great photos, Lou!
