We do alot of Beach camping - and I thought a metal detector could be fun for the kids (perhaps the adults as well) - anyone have any thoughts on this?

I think I am going to have to buy one now that we have a camper. We have a projection screen at home but it is fixed on the wall.

Many people will find this hard to understand, but I'm not fond of apple pie. Actually, there are very few fruits that I like after they have been cooked! Pick them ripe off the tree or bush, and I can eat them faster than you can pick them - make a pie or cobbler, and I hope you're hungry ... because it's garbage now as far as my tastes go. Thats is the sadest thing I have heard in the last 20 minutes. I think you just havent had the right Apple Pie.

That was actually my first thought but I thought people wont believe (or are going to think I'm crazy) that the experience is actually "that good" - but it really is.

In 2009 my daughter did the pirate cruise - Im not sure if its different now but she had a ball and it gave us time to do laundry. I wouldnt hesitate to let my son do it now that he is old enough.

I dont know - with 3 kids - I am really thinking an SUV would be best. Although DH keeps trying to push me into a truck.

Right now we have two vehicles that are capable of towing about 5500 # each - with our new camper this will only be borderline sufficient. Because we will soon be a family of 5 - we are looking to upgrade to a larger SUV. I have been looking but no used models are really standing out to me. Perhaps its the Gas milage that is turning my stomach but I just get this shrugging shoulders feeling when I look at them. The Nissan Armada looks kind of nice - but its still not making me hot to buy one.
