  1. If you have a Dollar Tree nearby, they had lots of non Disney Halloween items. I got the solar yard stake lights, they have black and orange spirals up the stake, and the light housing is orange. They also have the round Japanese style paper (and plastic) lantrens that have an LED light in them. I got the pumpkin, they have a ghost and something else. Uses 2 AA batteries. If you were handy you could attach Mickey ears to the stake lights and the globes!
  2. I didn't either, but thanks to the mighty GOOGLE I found this..... River Country History Dry PicsWet Pics Merch/Souvenir Pics History "A Full Day Of Water Fun! - Rapids! Falls! Slides!" Indian Springs - This was a small interactive play area for kids, with water squirters.
  3. Country Bear!! Muppet Show!! Toss up between which of these two are my favorite. The original Tiki Room. Last few times we went 3 years ago it was horrible. Nemo Old Mickey Mouse Revue Taiko Drummers outside of Japan.
  4. There is another one on 535 below International Drive. It may be a little closer, but if you get tied up in traffic it'll be a long trip.
  5. I'm surprised no one has mention this delightful concoction. Technically it's not a meal but it sure is good! Dole Whip Can only be found at 2 locations Captain Cook’s – Located in Disney’s Polynesian Resort, Captain Cook’s offers a self-serve Dole Whip machine! 6. We rented a cabin last year and used my daughters Delta employee discount (since discontinued :-( ). We had to fax them her proof of employment within 48 hours of booking, had to have her as the primary, and she had to be with us when we checked in. The biggest issue was making sure she got in from Omaha before we headed to the fort. And the discount was only good for the cabins at the fort, and some of the higher priced hotels.
  7. I can't figure out what they are doing either. Last 2 times we went, we've had a hard time booking a partial site, only to get there, and the CM says they are only at 25-30% capacity! Empty sites in all the loops, and then they tell you they can't accomodate a 2 hour late check out. I know there are a limited # of partial sites, but you would think if those are full, and they have empty full hookup sites, they would try to fill them with people looking for a partial site and charge them the partial fee. A booked site at a partial rate is better than an empty site with no income. Are
  8. Haven't eaten at those spots. Last time we went to EPCOT, we ate at the Lotus Blossom Cafe in China. Fast food place, but the portions were good sized and the food was fresh. We also have eaten at France at the bakery. The food was decent, but small portions and overpriced. At the Contemporary we like the Contempo Cafe, a self serve spot next to Chef Mickey's. I usually get the Roasted Curry Vegetable Salad. They have sandwiches and flatbread choices also along with kids meals.
  9. Are they the charm bracelets? If so they were around the beginning of September.
  10. Gwen, where did you find the place to order magic bands on the experience site? Also, does anyone know how to add people to your reservation? Mine was made with just me on it and I don't see how to add others.
  11. We took the grand kids on the wagon ride. Less expensive and longer than the carriage ride. It was the 4 of us and another couple.
  12. We have a rectangle, deep Presto skillet that we use for everything. We also have a Cuisenart Panini maker (like a George Forman) that you can use closed to grill sandwiches, cook meat, etc. It can also cook opened up, and it has a second set of flat inserts to cook on.
  13. We had booked a few days in the "original" treehouses for my daughters birthday the second week of September 2001. Well as everyone knows 9/11 occurred. Two days before we were scheduled to arrive we contacted Disney, and they said business as usual. Oh, and a tropical storm was approaching but it was still business as usual. We called again the morning of our reservation and was told come on over. So on our scheduled day we drove over in rainy weather from Tampa to check in. We get to the desk, and were told because of the rain, they closed the Treehouses and they were going to "upgrade"
  14. What we're forgetting is that included in your "membership" are maintenance costs. According to the example given on that official DVC site, the maintenance costs in the example are $900 per year. So now let's go back to the $24,000 you originally had to plop down. You owe that to the bank. After interest, if you financed it for, say, 30 years, you're looking at paying the bank at least $1,000 bucks for that note every single year. Add to that the $900 in maintenance fees and you're paying somewhere in the neighborhood of $2,000 per year for your DVC membership. And what does that $2,000 per
  15. Palm Parkway/Turkey Lake runs alongside of the West side of I-4. International is on the East. There's a Wal Mart and a K Mart on Palm for your shopping pleasure.
  16. Stackmasters directions are correct. The road is Palm Parkway which turns into Turkey Lake. There's a whole new world out there when you turn left leaving the Fort. I would suggest you bring up Google maps and check out the roadways at WDW itself and the surrounding areas. You can save a lot of time and mileage using the back roads. Watch out for the traffic on 535 just above and below I-4 it can really back up.
  17. Are you going to be driving? Do you know the back way/roads out of the Fort.? If you do I can give you some directions.
  18. Official Disney page says 7 and up. $25 to $39, and reservations required. https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/recreation/fort-wilderness-archery-experience/
  19. I guess we didn't hear the cars our last two trips because we had rain on and off both weekends. Roundy rounders don't go good in the rain.
  20. I just loaded $2000.00 worth of pennys into my Google Wallet so I can pay her.
  21. I replied back that I have relatives just outside of Columbus (I really do) and to send me the address where it's boxed up. Told her they would inspect it and if everything checks out they will give her the cash and take it away and I'll drive up and get it later. Waiting for my answer....
  22. Wife was looking in the Tampa Area Craigslist for some Pop Up deals. Found one, a 2004 Aliner Expidition for $2000. Posting said it was in great shape, opens and sets up in 30 seconds. Others ran from $4000 to $7000 around the same years. When you clicked on reply, instead of going to the usual email, it went to another page where you had to type in your email address in a box, and in another box comments. There were pictures on that page showing an Expidition being towed by a small pickup, but they were pictures of a Cabin A. It looked in like new shape, but I was confused about the fo
  23. Most hotels, heck even motels have their pools fenced off and have the kid proof safety gates like they have on the kiddy pool at the meadow. That is because of liability issues. People want someone else to take responsibility for watching their kids.
