Marriage Proposal Locations? - Ft Wilderness
Travisma replied to Rovahale's topic in Fort Wilderness Loops Information
Odd, the sign was up on Sunday but the wagon sign was down. Maybe they stopped on Monday. -
Tons of stuff to do, just need a lot of time and deep pockets!

I checked out the pin display at the Meadow and saw some fairly new pins (still no Musket Mickey) and found this one. Had to have it. Found out a couple of days ago that they were supposed to go on sale on 11/11, but I guess the Fort jumped the gun. They have them for all of the WDW resorts, also California, Hawaii, and Paris. No Musket Mickey pins, but they still had the 51 cent Musket pressed penny! We decided to walk down to the Settlement and look around. It was pretty sad to see all of construction fencing up and the beach blocked off. Nothing new a

The world’s largest Christmas light maze is coming to St. Pete on Nov. 22 Posted By Dave Plotkin on Fri, Nov 15, 2019 at 1:03 pm Enchant Christmas, an "immersive holiday experience" featuring a light maze, ice skating, and a Christmas market, is opening at St. Petersburg's Tropicana Field on Friday, Nov. 22. Based on the photos of the attraction – which includes the world's largest maze of Christmas lights – it looks like it's definitely worth the trip. Organizers say there will be larger-than-life light sculp

Maybe, maybe not? https://www.orlandoweekly.com/Blogs/archives/2019/11/15/monorail-manufacturer-bombardier-has-a-new-mystery-client-big-enough-to-be-disney?utm_source=feature&utm_medium=home&utm_campaign=hpfeatures&utm_content=HomeTopFeature For years now, Disney World fans have been hoping the resort will finally add new monorails to replace the aging fleet that continually makes the news for breaking down and stranding passengers. Despite literal pieces falling off the three-decade-old trains, Disney hasn’t given any indication that it plans to replace the

It was great for us, not so much for the kids in the tent!

TR continues My wife and I got back to the site and it was till just an on and off light rain. We had neighbors now, two tents, two ez ups 2 cars and at least two dogs. They were under their ez ups talking away and playing music. A little while later the adult kids came back and settled in. Then we heard the water parade, then we heard it again, and again... it seemed like a dozen times. I guess from our site we could hear it at every stop. Later in the evening the rain picked up and I had to shut the roof fan. Looked out the window at the kids tent and everything w

Complete with drums and very large barking growling dogs in tents!

Yes they do. It's in the lobby by where you come in from the buses. It's a lot smaller than the other resorts. Someone referred to it as an outhouse. We were there Sunday and one of the bakers told us it was about 50% done. I saw pictures yesterday and it looks finished, complete with Humphrey Bear hanging lights. On a side note, there is a series of resort pins showing all of the gingerbread designs (or parts of them). I didn't know that Saratoga Springs Resort had some sort of gingerbread display? When I get home I can add a couple of pictures, can't access Imgur f

It was a pretty nerve wracking process. There was nothing in our area that we could afford. We had one lined up in Alabama, but that was when Dorian came thru and by the time we were going to get it , it was sold. We found some in NC, Ohio and even upstate NY, but they all had different problems with them. We finally lucked out with this one.

Father/daughter breakfast suggestions.

There is a Golden Corral just down the street from the Perkins at the corner of 535 and Vineland (where you turn to go to the Disney Outlet) 8707 Vineland Ave, Orlando, FL 32821 They have a great breakfast buffet. -
It was kind of a quick trip. We had gone back and forth with the owner who was out of town and arranged to have his dad there. We left Tampa on a Thursday late afternoon and drove up to the Stone Mountain area and spent the night. Turns out where we stayed was only about 5 miles from the sellers house The next morning we checked out the camper, went to the sellers bank, transferred the $$, went back hitched it up and headed back to Tampa.

Hopefully Imgur is going to co-operate and I'll be able to add some photos to this report. Some of you may have seen some of my other posts looking to purchase a T@B. We found one about 6 weeks ago in Atlanta, and this was going to be our maiden voyage in it. Previously we camped in a tent then moved up to a old 1986 Coleman PUP. The T@B is in another universe all together. We went to the Fort over Veteran's Day weekend. I worked a 1/2 day Friday, so we left Tampa around noon. I had hitched up the camper Thursday night, and used my wife's car Friday to go to work. While I w

While the view will surely be the talk of many who visit the restaurant, that is named after the height at which it sits above the earth at 2

I like the food court at French Quarter, even though they discontinued the Creole Breakfast Sandwich! I've seen good reviews of Olivia's at Old Key West. We've never been there. If you really want to splurge California Grill has a brunch. -
Not so out of this world beers...
Travisma replied to Travisma's topic in Pictures of Dishes (Food) from around the World
Tampa has Cigar City brewery which consistently wins awards for their beers, plus we have about another 30 in the surrounding area. All of them would probably be large enough to fill any orders that Disney would place. -
With the huge amount of craft breweries in FL, it's a shame that they went with pretty much larger mainstream semi "craft" brewers all out of state. The beers tapped at Orlando's Galaxy’s Edge don’t come from a galaxy far, far away, but they aren’t locally brewed either Remember that iconic Star Wars scene where the Rebellion's heroes celebrated their victory over the Empire with a six-pack of craft-brewed IPA? Yeah, we don't either. We've watched inhabitants of a galaxy far, far, away quaff blue milk and sip snake stew, but unless the upcoming Rise of Skywalker features a ragin

Some New Reflections Details
Travisma replied to WannaBeImagineer's topic in Disney and Fort Construction
Everything between the Fort and Wilderness Lodge including the bus road is all blocked off. Construction stretches from the lakeside, across that road to the lodge, the bike path, and all the way out to Vista Blvd (the road to the Fort entrance) in some areas. You can see the new barn going up where the bike path used to be. I have a picture of the barn I'm going to post in a trip report. -
It’s going to be noisy 10/24

We are here now, and got a note that there will be fireworks between 10 and 12:45 for short periods. They are taping the Disney Holiday show that will be on Thanksgiving. Supposedly Lindsey Stirling will be taping starting around 11:15 to 1:30 and if you are in the park you can stay. My daughters might head back over. -
https://www.cnn.com/2019/11/08/business/hong-kong-protests-disney/index.html Hong Kong's political crisis is hitting the local Disneyland hard. Disney (DIS) reported strong earnings on Thursday, but flagged mounting losses at its theme park in Hong Kong, where protests have gripped the city for months and walloped its tourism industry. If the current trends continue, operating income at Hong Kong Disneyland could fall by $275 million in Disney's current fiscal year, which ends in September 2020, the company's chief financial officer Christine McCarthy said during an e

Well we all know that the biggest breaker of the Fort rules is Disney/Fort themselves.
-
Or the full sized RV/motorhome that was shoehorned into a partial site. Someone on FB said that if the full/premium sites are full Disney just puts them in the partial sites.

Someone on another FB site was upset because their daughters picture was taken when her finger didn't scan. People were all over her saying that was normal, that she had posted the kids picture all over FB, and that your pictures and data are scanned and taken various times all over the MK. On a side note, SeaWorld/Busch parks did away with the finger scans a couple of years ago. The first time you go to a park and scan your pass, they take your picture. From then on when you scan your card, your picture pops up on a device the person at the gate carries. Saves a lot of time gettin
