  1. Restrooms Added to Flight of Passage Queue in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Thanks to aTwitter user we have found out that bathrooms have been installed in the middle of the Flight of Passage queue. These bathrooms will be a welcome addition in time for the busy holiday season, where wait times for Flight of Passage will exceed multiple hours. The two unisex bathrooms were installed mid-queue for those needing to take care of business while in the middle of the multi-hour queue. Theming for the is pretty solid, with the weathering on the doors giving them a lived-in feel. We think th
  2. It seems like the majority of new sub-divisions being built still don't make anything walkable. To me, it would seem like the developer would offer space within the development for grocery stores, gas stations, etc, to make it easier for the residents to get what they need instead of having to drive a mile to get out of the sub-division then another couple of miles to get to a store along overcrowded streets.
  3. The second thing you here from a CM after hello is "Do you have a meal plan?". I see so many posts on FB pages about people having unused credits and ending up using them on snacks or just plain losing them. A friend used to get the meal plans for his family and also book the concierge levels at the resorts with all the "free" food, so they never used their credits up. The dining plans probably make Disney a fortune. They figure most familys won't use them up so it's pure profit on the unused credits.
  4. I've seen the little hard ones down here.
  5. I could see this fitting into the Settlement area along with all the boutique shops that reflections will be bringing in.
  6. A couple months after the protests started getting intense, there was an article about the drop in overall tourism to that area. They had a lot of pictures of Disney with very little visitors and no lines. I'm sure it hasn't gotten any better.
  7. That's for sure. They are probably hard pressed to afford the apartment rentals also. I'm surprised Disney doesn't build a "company town" where the workers get indebted to them and have to pay them back the rest of their lives like the coal miners used to do. I know it's endless building on 54 from the Suncoast out to Trinity/Little road. Where are all the people coming from?
  8. You're in TX and you can't find Chorizo? Most little Hispanic stores and a lot of the major grocery stores sell them here in Tampa.
  9. It's hard to imagine that there are that many people that need housing and another Starbucks (or Publix) in those areas. Do they move out of current housing to go into newer ones? It's the same around Tampa. I didn't think that many people are moving into FL every day to justify all of the new apartments and sub-divisions being built.
  10. That's why I dropped it in the Rumors section. I saw another related article about why Disney probably won't be opening a 5th park. When they opened AK, they said attendance and more importantly $$ was taken away from the existing parks, even though bottom line it's all Disney $$$. Plus it said when they opened AK there was an uptick of people now staying for an entire week. If they opened another park people may not actually stay any longer because of a lack of vacation time.
  11. We enjoyed staying at the 2 original hotels. Easy to get to and from the parks, not overcrowded, and great rates. Only drawback was a lack of places to pick up snacks, drinks, etc. That is sure changing. And traffic will be a nightmare.
  12. It's gonna be a regular town! And Western Way will become just like I-4! Disney Announces New Stores and Restaurants Coming to Flamingo Crossings Disney has announced some new restaurants and retailers coming to Flamingo Crossings Town Center, which lies just west of Walt Disney World in Orlando. Once complete, the mix-used center will offer more than 50 shopping and dining options, plus 1,700 parking spaces. A 250,000-square-foot Target, which was announced at the D23 Expo, will be the primary anchor, but in addition Disney has secured PDQ, Bento Asian Kitchen + Sus
  13. This is a long article. You can read it here. https://www.orlandoweekly.com/Blogs/archives/2019/12/09/with-star-wars-land-is-now-fully-opened-whats-next-for-disney-world?utm_source=widget&utm_medium=home&utm_campaign=rightrail&utm_content=TabbedPopularity Here are a few excerpts Many of the details of Epcot’s top-to-bottom refurbishing have already been announced by Disney but, moving forward, the company still does have plenty of unannounced plans in the works for the other parks as well. Much of the focus around Walt Disney World has been on the
  14. Last time we went to BOG (walk in lunch time) we noticed the the food portions got quite a bit smaller, weren't as good, and seemed to have gone up in $$ slightly. Not a fun time.
  15. I saw a post this morning on a FB page about Smugglers Run. The writer said they got cursed out by someone on their ship because they didn't pilot it good enough!
  16. Last time we stayed at FQ, we were told that security controls the parking fees, not the resort. So it seems that when you check in with a vehicle and they see you have a reservation, you get a parking fee added to your total.
  17. https://www.orlandoweekly.com/Blogs/archives/2019/12/09/we-just-learned-a-ton-of-new-stuff-about-all-the-restaurants-coming-to-disney-world?utm_source=feature&utm_medium=home&utm_campaign=hpfeatures&utm_content=HomeTopFeature Disney World is planning a massive influx of visitors in 2021 for the resort’s 50th Anniversary, and all those guests will need to eat somewhere. That means there will be plenty of new dining options opening across the resort in the coming months. Last week, during the multi-day media hype around Rise of the Resistance, Disney snuck in a surpris
  18. Well Mine Train, Slinky, and FOP are still hard to get on, so I would venture to say that Galaxy Edge rides are going to be long waits for a loooong time to come.
  19. Just what we need, another bunch of shops to sell resort crap and a Starbucks or two.
  20. With all the $$ spent on technology, salaries, etc, you would think by now Disney could get the transportation running smoother. It's only been about 50 years to work out the bugs. The wait time monitors were a big step in the right direction. A CM with a Walkie Talkie at each stop in contact with transportation central could fix a lot of the issues. Last time we were there, for the most part the buses worked, but when they don't, it's a major failure. We were at the outpost waiting for and internal purple/orange bus. 5 yellow line buses came and went, at one point th
  21. Did the friend say what the drones were made of? I saw a grainy picture of them during the day, and they looked like they were just a skeleton frame and the lights at night filled them in to look solid?
