“The Mandalorian” Character Meet and Greet Coming Soon to Disney Parks With big merchandise reveals and previews today for Star Wars fans (and a huge “The Clone Wars” premiere tomorrow), they’d better hold on to their lightsabers, because the Force is about to get a little stronger at Disney Parks. With the resounding success of “The Mandalorian” series on Disney+, Disney and Lucasfilm are scrambling to meet the unexpected demand for Baby Yoda merch and all things Mando. With merchandise already in production and set to hit stores soon, the next integration involves the

Are they having the same issues at DisneyLand with breakdowns? I had read an article (if it was on the web it must be true) that during construction at HS in the rainy season, the roofing had issues with drainage, and supposedly a lot of the electronics/controls for the ride got flooded. Never saw anything else about it, but the article went into depth about how roof drains were improperly installed causing the major flood. Possibly some of the issues with HS version?

This is a lengthy but interesting article. To me it was well worth the read. The Quest for the Best Amusement Park Is Ever-Changing and Never-Ending At Universal Orlando, Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure is redefining what a roller coaster is. But just down the road, Disney has unveiled Rise of the Resistance, a Star Wars–themed experience that immerses parkgoers so deeply that the line between ride and reality is blurred. And the revolution of augmented reality has only just begun. https://www.theringer.com/movies/2020/2/20/21142856/disney-star-wars-rise-re

I was working for the City of Tampa back in the early 80's and GTE was just starting to put up cell towers and bring service to the area. They gave our department some phones to test in different areas. It was "portable" in as far as it wasn't wired into a car, it would fill up a jacket pocket and make you walk crooked from the weight pulling you down on one side!

That's why we are sticking with our iPhone 6S Plus phones. They still work! When we switched to T-Mobile we couldn't bring our old Verizon phones over, so when we bought our "new" phones, the 8's were already out so we got the 6's at a decent price. As soon as we started getting close to them being paid off, we started getting messages and calls from T-Mobile offering to upgrade us to the latest shiny toy. As long as the battery holds out, or they don't die totally, we will keep using them. A phone that costs as much as what a new car used to cost, better last a long damn

Correct, and there is no guarantee of getting on the ride with a higher # boarding pass. Check some of the FB pages and other blogs and you'll see that quite a few times people have not gotten on the ride even with a boarding pass. And 1 day about a month ago, the ride went down for 7 hours shortly after opening and didn't start up until around 2:00 PM.

You and all of your party that wants to go on ROR need to be inside of the park when it "officially" opens. At that time you attempt to get a boarding pass for your entire party. Let the person with the fastest phone try to get it. I saw a warning on another site that multiple people in your group should not all try for a pass because it confuses MDE. Not sure if that is true or not. I think Jason and maybe TCD have posted the entire process, and if you google it there are plenty of posts on how and how not to do it. When they first started this process the first people with the

WDW Ticket price increased

I think this sums up eveyones feelings about the price increase! You either accept the increase and keep going, stop going completely and visit the rest of the country, or save $$ and just go once every few years. Prices aren't going to drop, they aren't going to do major expansions to alleviate the crowds, and they won't notice a drop in profits because there are always people out there that have unlimited $$ to spend at the parks (that's Disney's perfect customers). -

https://wdwnt.com/2020/02/photos-rats-return-to-the-muppets-courtyard-fountain-at-disneys-hollywood-studios/ HOORAY!!! When the Muppets Courtyard fountain was revealed after refurbishment, we were happy at the return of a perfectly polished Miss Piggy, but somewhat downtrodden at the sight that the fishing rats had been left out even after the fountain was turned back on. Today, we are pleased to inform our readers that the fishing rats are back! See the link for the photos

WDW Ticket price increased

I wish they had some sort of ticket for a FL Passholder to buy an out of state visitor inexpensive tickets. -
https://www.latimes.com/business/story/2020-02-11/disneyland-ticket-annual-pass-maxpass-prices-rise Months after Disneyland opened the biggest expansion in its history, the Anaheim theme park raised ticket prices Tuesday, pushing the cost of some one-day passes above $200 for the first time. Prices of annual passes and the digital MaxPass climbed too. Under a new five-tier pricing scheme that charges more for days when demand is highest, one-day ticket prices rose as much as 5%. For the lowest-demand days — such as Tuesdays and Wednesdays in March — a one-day ticket to visit e

The 70’s were even better then the 2000’s. We were on the original sky ride in 1977 above the pathway by Small World, and could count the # of people walking on 2 hands. -
WDW Ticket price increased
Travisma replied to Katman1356...Jason's topic in WDW and Disney Park Discussions
I think that is the biggest complaint. Prices do need to go up to cover operational costs, make a profit, etc, but each year it feels like you get less for your $$ and more and more crowds. Yes, I know new rides and attractions that are coming cost major $$ to develop and maintain, but when you're crammed into the parks like sardines about 95% of the time, it's no longer a magical/pleasant experience. Disney has done too good of a job marketing themselves, and did not keep up with the influx of crowds. Instead of expanding the parks, creating new lands, or new parks somewhe
