  1. We usually go for around 3 weeks. In the past with a Fort Wilderness reservation and an annual pass we have been able to make fast passes for 14 days starting 60 days ahead of our arrival date. Then the next day I could make fast passes for the 15th day because the 14 day window slide forward. I could book fast passes for the whole trip that way. For this trip May 23 (or maybe June 1 because of closing) we were able to book fast passes only through June 15th. That would be 14 fast passes from June 1 through June 15 with 1 water park day. It appears the way the 14 day rule is being enfor
  2. Great news. We are camped in the panhandle right now. Be there around noon. Thank you for the reply. I have worried about traffic when they throw the gates open. Seems like they had everything under control.
  3. I was following a DIS forum on Irma and some people reported 6 hour holds earlier in the week. We waited as long as we could before our day to leave TX and then started calling. We had called Friday and had a much longer wait, but not the 2 hours you experienced. Friday we got the answer that they would open on Monday the 18th and possibly Sunday the 17th. So we left our reservations ride for the 19th. However, I was a little suspicious because Hoop-Dee-Do was not opening until the 20th. Does anyone remember last year and the reopening after that hurricane (October 7 or 8)? How did they
  4. We were scheduled to check-in 9/19. Called yesterday 9/16 afternoon and were told that camping would open on 9/20. We have flexibility, so we delayed our check-in one day. The wait time was longer than normal for the reservation number and then that agent had to transfer us to someone else who only dealt with the fort cancellation and there was a 15 minute wait there also. We will call again on the 19th to check status unless the posted message is more specific. We transferred to a hotel during last years hurricane and I would rather not do that again. With a freezer full of home smoked BBQ I
  5. I started this thread http://www.fortfiend...-digital-cable/ before I discovered this thread (sorry, just didn't search on the right terms). In it I said: Posted 10 January 2013 - 06:05 AM I was in 1400 loop in Nov 2012 and got many channels on the Fort cable. I was in our new 2013 model motor home with two flat panel TVs (Vizio in living area and Jensen in the bedroom). Came back in Jan and only get 10 channels (locals, and a few cable news and espn. Called the front desk and got a repair guy to look at the connection. He repaired the box and I rescanned both TVs with the same result. Repair
  6. Ed said "Have a wall plate that looks like this [in an older camper? It won't work with the digital cable at WDW - that is/was my problem." My plate comes with the antenna system and is by Jack not Winegard. I think it and a three way splitter may be at fault for little digital reception. Does anyone know what the Fort cable system needs as far as GHz or what this recommended plate passes? I have a 2013 motorhome and get poor reception unless the TV is connected directly to the post. I got good digital reception in Nov 2012 in the 1400 loop. Now in the 400 loop I get 3 digital channels and 12
