That's odd.  The campgrounds here that don't have assigned sites are first-come-first-served.  Meaning you pick out the site that you want from what's open..

POFQ looks nice.  Back in 2004 for Matthew and Erica's wedding we chose POR over POFQ.  I've regretted that decision many times.

Gabe and his team lost in the semifinals of the Gold 16U Adidas Summer Championship in Las Vegas today.  But they played well all week.  Hopefully lots of college scouts were there.

I know what you mean too.  Took my Miata for an oil change this week, and the mechanic found a piece of metal in one of my tires.  Required a plug.

Good advice, Derek.  There's a campground in FL that we once considered staying at.  It looked good online and had great reviews.  We went to see it.  The only way we would have spent the night there was to sit in the front seats with guns in our laps.

We've parked in the truck area when we couldn't find an RV spot.  It's noisy as the trucks are running all night, but generally it just lulls me to sleep.  Of course I've probably been driving 12-14 hours by then too. 

We always stop at Flying J in St. Augustine for the evening and then leave there around 4 or 5am the next morning.  We generally don't have a problem finding a spot because we arrive mid-afternoon.  It's noisy in the RV lot too b/c you can hear the trucks coming and going all night long.

Wish we could be there for Halloween 2016.  But our AP expiration date dictates we go earlier.  Maybe next year!

I don't know what is going on in private between the company and the family however it appears to me that Disney has stepped up to the problem and doing whatever it can to help the family. Walmart camping rules are largely influenced by local ordinances.  Have you considered stopping at Pilot/Flying J or Cracker Barrel?

We've eaten at the Crystal Palace several times.  Usually we made an ADR for a time before the park opens, so I can get in and take great pictures.  The buffet offerings are more extensive than those at Trail's End.  Quality-wise they are about the same.

Last fall we took the grandkids there for an early dinner.  Party of 8 with two birthday celebrations in the group.  We all really enjoyed the food and had a great time.

No more ADRs at the Plaza Restaurant?  I have one for September.  Guess we'd better enjoy it while we can.  That stinks.

You don't need to book an extra night to get into the Fort early.  We usually arrive at the fort by 6:30 am and often are on our site by 8 am.

What a great Castaway Cay day!  I'm looking forward to the bonus material too.

Sad to learn that BTMRR and Dinosaur will be closed during our next trip.
