I know we travel with about a half a tank of water, one for emergencies and two because that's what the manufacturer suggests. We have a rear kitchen with the fresh water tank in the back and most of the storage is in the front.  Unless we were dry camping I wouldn't see the need for full tanks. The only time I've filled ours over half full was in case we had to evacuate for storms.

We travel with our water tank empty.  Carry a few gallons of water in bottles to flush the commode if necessary.

But in an emergency (such as evacuation) or dry camping for a few days we'd fill our city water tank.

Go for the crab legs, Gwen!!  :)

If it were just me I'd do it in a heartbeat.  But David doesn't like crab legs, and he doesn't like to go to Cape May unless they have shrimp on the buffet.  And I think that's only on Sundays.  But I will try to talk him into it!

  3. You all are making me confused.  We'll be there next Thanksgiving for the first holiday (excluding Halloween) for 25 or so years.   We celebrated Thanksgiving at the Fort many times when the kids were little.  I'd cook/freeze the big items at home and cook all the sides there.  But now that's just the two of us and I only have a microwave/convection, and you are talking about seafood, Cape May is sounding really good.

    *giggle*

Having been to a couple of WWWs, I agree!

Chris had an epidural inserted into her lower back today.  If this doesn't work, she will probably have to get back surgery.  But we're hoping to attend in 2018!

  5. Does your mom know the southernmost point thingy isn't actually at the southernmost point?  The marker was moved several years ago.

That being said, I've been to Key West for a couple of day stops while cruising and really enjoyed the architecture there.  Walking up/down Duval Street is fun.  We always take a bicycle taxi to the "southernmost point" and then walk back toward the pier.  The Sloppy Joes and margaritas at Sloppy Joe's Bar are great.  IMHO the Hemingway house is a waste of time and money.  The Truman annex is okay, particularly if you're into history.  (I'm not.)

My initial feeling is that your parents will experience "culture shock" while visiting.

We've never had a problem taking a scooter on the bus or the boat to the MK.

I don't know how you'd get the scooter around with a rented golf cart unless you could find one with a back seat that folds flat like a truck bed. We have a light weight scooter I can lift onto ours, only problem would be that would only leave you with 2 seats on the cart. The scooter could be ridden to the outpost or settlement all on sidewalks. It can be a nice ride but a bit bumpy, and may be to much of a battery drainer.

We ride our scooter all over the Fort on the sidewalks, and it is a bit bumpy, but we have one of the Pride 10 heavy duty scooters with plenty of speed and battery power. We also don't have any mental issues just physical, so know our way around and the 15 spots to cross the road. Honestly, just load the scooter on the internal Disney buses and enjoy your trip!

I have a smaller scooter, a Pride Elite Traveler Go-go.    The sidewalks are really bumpy for me, but I set it on the highest speed and zoom around anyway.  No problem with battery power.

Although we have our own golf cart which has a fold-down rear seat where we can load my scooter, we've had a problem taking my scooter on the bus in that we've waited 2 hours for an EPCOT bus that could accommodate us.  So we usually break it down and load it into our rental car and drive to the parks (except MK).
