  1. Had to step away for awhile. As usual, very prompt and good info. No ....uh ....unusual .....remarks. I had to double check that I was on the Fort Fiends website. Thanks again. This is the most helpful site I have ever found for useful info on Disney. elkabong
  2. I know this has been covered on the forum before, but a search hasn't helped. We will be at the fort in early June for 10 days in the 200 loop. I know we can park our tow vehicle with our 5er, but we will have a second vehicle as well. If there is room, can that vehicle also be parked at our site? Also, I understand we will get a pass for our tow vehicle for free parking when we visit the parks, but what about the second vehicle? Can we get a pass for that one too, or do we have to pay for it at each park? elkabong
  3. Thanks again. You have all been most helpful. I hope to meet some you at the fort June 7-17. I'll be easy to recognize, I'll be the old guy bring up the rear behind two very energetic teens. Save me a drink, I'll probably need it. Ken
  4. Thanks. That's the info I needed about re-entry to parks on the same day. We have ordered the 4 day tickets. It is my understanding that if circumstances change, we could add an additional day to the tickets by just paying the difference between a 4 day and 5 day ticket. And we could do this even after using one or more of the days already. Correct? I should be receiving our Disney info packet in another week or so. I imagine it will have the dvd mentioned above. It's been a long winter and I really need this trip. Ken
  5. The more I read about park tickets (magic bands, etc.), the more confused I become. I am taking the older set of grandkids to the fort in early June. Their first trip and I haven't been for 20 years. Because of time constraints, we are able to spend only four days in the parks themselves. One day in each park. (This only an initial trip, there will be others). Because of this, we have not selected the park hopper option since we will not have the time to make use of them. My question is simple. Is it possible to use a single day day ticket (wrist band, or whatever it is) to enter a park, then
  6. Taking one set of Grandkids and their parents to WDW in June next year and staying at the Fort. I would like your experiences and suggestions as to the best "Disney for Dummies" book to order. We don't expect to do everything in the time we have available, just want to do the best we can with the time we do have. Just makes sense the Fiends would be the best source for this information. Thanks in advance for your input Ken
  7. Kinda rambled around here a bit, didn't we? Anyway, thanks Jason. I look forward to the pm. I'm not sure how the pm thing works, but I guess I'll learn. An email address will be useful, as I think better on a keyboard than on a phone anyway Ken.
  8. I am looking to take the grandkids to WDW and stay at the Fort next year. From following this site for a while, I figure it is best to make my arrangements through a travel agent. Better prices, more info, etc. Who are the recommended agents? I know Fiesty's is listed as a sponsor, but I need one with an 800 number. Help, please.
  9. Thanks to Jason & Loretta. I will do this tomorrow. Since I will be ordering for the kids and have them sent to their home in Ohio and my order before was for me in Colorado, I might be able to bypass the 6 month rule. Figured they will be surprised to receive them in the mail since they would not be expecting them. Thanks again, Ken
  10. I posted on here a couple of months ago asking about maps. I received a reply giving me step by step instructions how to get a free packet of color maps sent in the mail. I followed those instructions and received the packet a few days later. Good for me. However, I do not remember the procedure (bad for me) and would like to order the same packets for two of my grandkids. I am taking them to WDW and the Fort next summer (their first trip) and would like these packets to be their first souvenir. Could you help me once again. This time I will write the instructions down! Ken
  11. The 18' garage is what I really liked. It's hard to find that big of a garage on a 5th wheel. Most are between 8 and 12'. Our garage/living area is 16'. So it's tight with 2 carts in there. I contract to a dealer in Denver and pull many different types of trailers. Work and Play make the most economical ones I've seen and they will custom your floorplan any way you want it. I pulled a 44' fiver that was set up to carry a full sized race car with an appropriate GVWR. I also pulled a 42' fiver that was made to carry a Jeep Wrangler. No problems with entry/exit of vehicles as they build and place
