  1. Don't worry about how hard or how long it takes you to back in a site, I never had anymore problem with the 1400 than any other site. If you are new to backing then you will learn regardless of what Joe I am an expert camper says. I have backed into spots in one shot and turned off the truck and I have spent a half hour getting it "just" the right spot. One thing will all sites is you need to make sure your elec reaches and your hose reaches and more important your black hose reaches where you put the camper. Some hook ups are in the back, some toward the front and some in the middle, check yo
  2. We have stayed many times at Deer Run and Ozark, both are great places but since the KOA conversion at Ozark, it is a little expensive for an overnight. On your way home if you are shooting for Deer Run you need to know where to turn, you have to turn at a road to the south of the CG and there is little signage and if it is dark, hard to find.
  3. isn't Willingboro where they had to make a law about putting for sale signs up at one point because everyone wanted out all at the same time?
  4. Beckers, you need to think before hitting enter
  5. Something that struck me was your refrencing "check in time", they will check you in anytime after I believe 7 AM, you have a better chance of getting the site you want by checking in earlier. If your site is ready you can get on it, if its not they will call or text you when it is. You can park in the lot and take a bus to where ever you want and enjoy the day instead of planning on trying to arrive at "check in time".
  6. well I am late to the party, but agree with the route, I also would throw in to take a look at the 1400 loop
  7. and now the smartasses start! does it ever end? Lord, take me now!
  8. Scott is not new to some of us, he was a poster on a not to be mentioned board, some of us have even met Scott, now it is your job to put two and two together :) Welcome Scott!
  9. I worked with a lot of people that lived in Levittown, actully I think my niece lives there now.......ah the PA one
  10. I would keep calling or try one of our sponsor TA's, as you get closer there will be people who cancel, you'll just have to be lucky to call at the right time. If all else fails you may just have to park the truck in the lot to have room or be like other people and just park it sideways in everyones way, including your own way.
  11. Fishing at the fort is a crap shoot, I have cough a load of fish including some huge catfish off the dock behind the meadows. It is a lot better catching in the cooler months. Hotdogs work the best but they are also the worst to keep on the line, whenever I get to the fort I get anyone I can to join me for a GAG, then I keep whatever skin I can for fishing. The chicken skin is easy to keep on the hook and the fish like the breading. In the fishing thread you can (I think) see some pictures from people whom have cough fish like the ones Dave put in this thread. The last time I had a real go
  12. Hell, I looked it up and still don't know if its a good thing or bad thing, I know Kathy has read all or most of the books
  13. I have to say Louis, that is beautiful, I am jealous of your talent!
  14. The only problem I have with driving over there is that the parking is a mile away from the resort, I vote taking the bus. Thats all I have to say about that :)
  15. I always keep a short 5' piece and a few other sizes in my compartments but I also have a few more pieces in a closet in the camper, hell they don't take up much room so they are there. Funny story, one time we were in the 700 loop right next to the dog walk path, I got a knock on the door on a Saturday afternoon and there was this lady asking me how I got my satellite to work because she couldn't get hers working. I told her I would come over and look at hers to see if I could see anything wrong, they were in the 800 loop across from us. I walked over there and well they were having a kinda
  16. one day last yr another fiend and I and I think Jens CJ took a ride to look at some sites compared to the measurements given by the CM book. A few of the sites on bendsin the road were prob measured from the back to the farthest point of the curve, well if you go by that measurement there was about 10 feet of unusable length to the site, some might even be more. I believe they measured them to the longest point to make everyone feel happy that they have this gigantic site when in reality the usable space is a lot less.
  17. I just last week threw away a TV exactly like that, I couldn't even give it away at a yard sale
