An EGG-cellent Weekend at Stone Mountain
Seals replied to GaDawgFan.....Kelly's topic in Trip Reports
Don't you just love people. They will spend a weekend making food for other people who come to eat it. And it looks like everyone had a good time. Love Z's celebrity look - wearing those glasses and being pushed around while he ate. He's in training. -
My sons and I were discussing this after seeing a bunch of commercials the other day, all of which featured Steve Carrell's character. We thought the book focuses on the kid (it's been a while, though). Does the movie feature the father more or does Alexander have a large role. We wondered if the commercials were trying to attract the parents by showing Carrell.

Enjoying this trip along with your family. Those huge smiles say it all. How fantastic that you were able to get so many great photos. It looks like you were able to accomplish a lot (score one for spreadsheet planning!). I think getting to a park at rope drop with 6 children/kids/offspring/younguns is an accomplishment in itself. I'm curious what the red t-shirt with the two faces that one of your sons is wearing says -- 10 reasons something is better?

I hope that 100% of that increase goes to the ponies. -
Disney updates Theme Park Rules
Seals replied to BradyBzLyn...Mo's topic in WDW and Disney Park Discussions
Actually it says f. Please supervise your children at all times. Guests under age 14 must be accompanied by a Guest age 14 or older to enter the Park. To board an attraction, children under age 7 must be accompanied by a person age 14 years or older. That was one of the first rules I noted since it means next year my 14 yr olds could go into a park with my 16 yr old, who I constantly remind he's not actually an adult.- 61 replies

I'm brand new to Fort Wilderness...
Seals replied to Newfiefan's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
Google pictures of the bed room in the cabin. It's bunk beds and a double(?) pushed against a wall. Grandparents will have to coordinate getting in and out or one will have to crawl. Murphy bed takes up a good bit of room in the living room when it's down. Kitchen is well stocked and we had plentiful towels in the bathroom. Depending on loop if you are close to a loop with a comfort station a trip over there in the morning or night for parents/grandparents and older kids to shower might save you some time. The cabins are fun, though. Hopefully you'll have great outdoor weather and you ca -
Nothing Fancy-Just a Good Old 4th of July at the Fort TCD TR

If I had the computer skills, I would draw a thought bubble coming out of that kid's head that says "I think I'm going to be in a TCD trip report!" -
A summer long TR...with a visit to Cinderella's real castle.

I love Typhoon Lagoon. And after seeing your pictures I wish I were there this morning. Great pick by your DD and congratulations to her on all A's! -
I buy my cans of Coke Zero in 24 packs at Walmart, so I doubt I ever saw them. I like ritzy as much as the next person (especially if the next person is a Luckow who is paying for it) so if I did stay at the Four Seasons I'd know not to complain about all the rich people stuff. I ask this question just about every day.

Congratulations to Twin #1. Was she interested all along or did seeing Twin #2 having so much fun make her want to apply too? How long will she be in the program? And I would have thought you would have encouraged her to start when Twin #2's program ended so that you could stretch out the CM discounts over a longer time. Although I have a feeling you might have CM (and eventually CEO) discounts for a long time. -
Wow, 1-4 sound like things I would complain about. I thought rich people loved valet parking, paying $5 for a Diet Coke ("in a metal bottle" -- is that also known as a can?), avoiding public transportation and paying for things that are called complementary. This person clearly is not Four Seasons material.

I'd like something that involves playing with little kids and not having to interact with their parents at all.

You know, I read in a Trip Report by some guy that hangs around here a lot about how you can put a bunch of fake relatives on a reservation for the Fort (he even used names like Anna and Elsa!) and then get Magic Bands for those fake people and then use those Magic Bands to get a bunch of extra FP+. If you are charging $100+ an hour for VIP tours a few extra APs and Fort reservations wouldn't cut into your profit too much.

So they do stand in line for their customers. From their FB page: "Toy story mania, an interactive 3D shooting game at Disney's Hollywood Studios is the #1 attraction at Walt Disney World. Your private guide will be sure to get you through the fast pass line and avoid crazy wait times! While you are riding, they will get in line so you can meet Buzz and Woody right after!" They also are buying up merchandise: "We are also still collecting Frozen dolls and dresses, so contact us if you are interested!" This is from their reviews on Yelp, but from December: "There had been a ton of hype i

A couple of things I noticed -- they say they will be getting to the parks when they open, they guide you through the parks during the least crowded times of day, they put "with no lines" in quotation marks, and while you are on the rides the Personal Guide will be setting up your next experience. What does that mean? Do they have someone who waits in line for you? I guess it is "your" experience as long as you keep the hours they tell you.

Nothing Fancy-Just a Good Old 4th of July at the Fort TCD TR

Even though I know nothing about Marvel characters and knew nothing about the movie I went to see Guardians of the Galaxy over the weekend with my 13 yr old twins just because. I liked the movie a lot more than I thought I would. I'm also a big Parks and Recreation fan and was glad to see Chris Pratt in it. I told my boys it reminded me of the original Star Wars movies (which I saw when they first came out). I think they rolled their eyes. Later I saw a review that said "best Star Wars movie since 1980." -
Write to your favorite Disney character
Seals replied to BradyBzLyn...Mo's topic in WDW and Disney Park Discussions
Ok, I can see how this would be cool for a kid to get an autograph of his/her favorite character. And maybe a parent could convince the kid to do it this way rather than standing in line. But an adult sending a wedding invitation -- I know it's magical and all but that just seems weird. And, if you are sending a wedding invitation, why are M&M or Cinderella and Prince Charming the only ones who can get invited to a wedding? What if I wanted to invite Timon and Baloo to my wedding. But they aren't allowed to get invitations. Not fair. And finally, why are Cinderella and Prince Charming usi- 19 replies

Lukow Family Foundation 461 Old Post Rd Wyckoff, NJ 07481-1550 Probably NJ Turnpike at the top. Exit 14 since when someone knows you're from NJ they always ask "what exit?" also refers to Garden State / Garden State Parkway -

I went to Canada this summer -- Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island -- and all the people I met were extremely nice, friendly and helpful. And it has beautiful scenery. I was impressed. Not enough to overcome the uninhabitable weather in the non-summer months and make me want to move there, but definitely a nice place to visit in the summer (unlike my attic where it's probably over 100 degrees today).

And to go back to the original post, I'm glad to hear Osborne Lights are returning. I saw them for the first time last Thanksgiving and WOW!! I'm glad more people will get to experience them.

Pizza delivery...
Seals replied to twiceblessed....nacole's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
He only saw it after and then did call to complain but didn't talk to anyone who cared. He realizes it was just one kid, who probably thought he/she was sooooo funny (and hopefully karma will get him/her some day), but he was embarrassed and now PJ has a bad connection in his mind. I've eaten so much pizza at my kid's activities, birthday parties, group gatherings, etc.over the past 10 years that I am pretty much done with it so I don't care. And my kids are happy with the local Little Caesar's $5 pizzas. -
Ok, same answer just a different fact. Corrected as noted. Although I feel that rather than take your word for it, or do something like look at a map, I may need to conduct a research trip to confirm.
