  1. So it's good for more than just making hats?! Good to know. I could have used it the time I stupidly put my hand on a stove burner to see if it was still hot (it was...).
  2. Comment from 2nd Goliath video (still there): Kunter “Juice” Nielson 1 day agoTrust me. The higher ups know exactly what is going on. Walt Disney World is a better place without hot heads like you. You said you have limited income so who pays for your annual passes for your family? Cell phones and tablets? All of these expensive things but you yourself say you have limited income. You are looking for a hand out. Those of us who know the truth know that this is not the first threat you have made towards Disney cast members. Disney has a file on you that is 6 inches thick. By the way...You reco
  3. I don't like a slogan that begins with "un". Seems like a negative even when it's not. And it occurs to me that Disney Meth guy had an "unforgettable" experience at Disney, just not the kind they're trying to evoke.
  4. As the Mom of 3 boys, I laughed hysterically at this story. I also could relate to your "I made her wear a dress." I'm glad your Mom could see the humor. Thanks for sharing.
  5. So... he's lost over 300 lbs. One of the things I learned by listening to the two new videos. Comments on the 2nd video say that Disney has a 6" thick file on him, that he recorded the encounter but won't show it, and that he's threatened a cast member before. I don't think he's going to "let it go" even though the ones being harmed by his attitude are his family, who he claims want him to keep fighting. The more he talks the deeper the hole he's digging for himself.
  6. Yeah, despite my wanting to give him the benefit of the doubt, I suspect this too. And I saw a few vague references to "more to the story" on other sites. I wonder if he stays at Pop regularly and some of the CMs there know him. I do some customer service work and we definitely talk about a few repeat people who are difficult, or just weird. And we are ready to react a certain way just by seeing them. They may have been looking for something that clearly crossed the line so that they could pull out that stamp. And he provided it. The kind part of me would like them to revoke it after a while a
  7. Interesting. But, despite their last name, contributions to a Go Fund Me are voluntary and you take your own risk about the validity of a person's need when you contribute. I guess I'm a little caught up in the fact that (as far as we know, which is nothing except what he and the news reports said so that is the basis for my opinion) he didn't hurt anyone -- run them over with a stroller, push them in line, get into a fight, actually have a meth lab or atomic bomb in his room, etc. or even take something that he wasn't entitled to (a dip in resort pool where he wasn't staying, smoking in the
  8. http://afathersheart.blogspot.com/ A different perspective? (Not that you can't be overbearing and obnoxious and still love your family.)
  9. Or maybe Disney is just sensitive about this (found when I was Googling "Disney meth lab" to see other views on the story). Or the guy could have just said he'd seen this. Do You Want to Build a Meth Lab? (Frozen x Breaking Bad Parody/Mashup)
  10. It would be hard to keep someone out of the parks but if they did catch you (using a credit card and it flags your name, Magic Band, etc.) it would be a lot worse that you deliberately violated a trsspass order. Honestly, I skimmed through the videos and to me he sounds like someone who is eccentric/goofy/perhaps medicated or with some type of mental "issues". He said something stupid that he shouldn't have when he thought he was being funny while he was annoyed at being on hold for 15 minutes. And now instead of letting it sit he's obseesing about it and embarrased at the impact on his famil
  11. Interesting article. I have one son who loves gravy. Maybe he's the next Walt.
  12. I've had a similar conversation with my husband many times at the end of vacations. Ours has often been stopping in Williamsburg VA, totally out of the way but one of our favorite places, during the trip back to SC from NJ. We've never been sorry and I hope you weren't either.
  13. Spring 2010 we were in a site in the 2000 loop that flooded after heavy evening and overnight rain. We were divided among 3 tents. Around midnight I looked in on my son in the small backpacking tent and his mattress pad was floating. I woke him up and made him move to our tent. And he was mad I woke him up. After the long day we'd had at MK he probably would have floated there asleep all night. Then I spent a long time in the laundry room drying all the clothes in his suitcase. Luckily the other two tents didn't leak. But the site was flooded and the next morning as my husband tried to push t
  14. Was anyone else even there for Mary Poppins? Looks like you have the station to yourselves. I love the enthusiasm of your trip report and seeing your beautiful family having such a great time. But my feet hurt each time I read your total steps for the day!
  15. I'm surprised no one has recommended it by saying -- You never sausage a place!
  16. Wish I were going. Or even that I had that banner on the wall of my office.
  17. I always wondered how one went up in the Arch although I knew there was no way I was going up that high. Now I know there's no way I'm going up that high in that enclosed pod. But I'm glad I got to see your photos of the view. Kudos to your wife if she is claustrophobic and did that. I guess that is what your adventure is about. And I'm glad to see your kids did the Jr. Ranger thing. We did that with my boys at a number of National Parks when they were younger. It's a great way to keep kids interested and interact with the park.
  18. We haven't been since Nov. 2013 when they were still under the dual FP system (the good old days). I'm the queen of crappy phones so we didn't have a smart phone to use but my son had his ipod touch with wifi and was able to use that with the MDE app. to change our times (the good old days). Just a thought for people who don't have phones or don't want to drain the battery and happen to have an old ipod touch around.
  19. I'm thinking combine the first two as a remake of Hitchcock's The Birds -- Terror of the Tiki Birds. Instead of pecking you, they sing until your ears bleed and you die.
  20. I'm curious about why the 2 cars and not share 1. Did you need them both to get all their stuff there? Is the housing not within walking distance of the parks? And will you reverse the trip you just did when they are done (January??).
  21. I realize I'm not Disney's main demographic, or probably even a minor one (the cheap, middle aged woman demographic). But I'm looking forward a lot to Toy Story land, a little to Star Wars Land, and not at all to Avatarland. I'm looking forward to the new parade in Animal Kingdom. I'm looking forward to Finding Dory, Pete's Dragon and Gigantic and would be looking forward to Toy Story 4 if they weren't making it a love story with just about my least favorite Toy Story character -- Bo Peep. Woody can do much better IMHO.
  22. Found out earlier this summer that my 14 yr old is highly allergic to insect venom, after a very bad reaction to yellow jacket stings. We immediately started carrying epi pens but after the allergist demonstrated Auvi-q we switched to that too because he liked the shape and the cool talking factor better.
  23. I'm too lazy to follow anywhere else so please keep posting. I'm enjoying it. Thanks.
  24. In the "what I thought the title said" category: MyAllergyKingdom.com - Partership with Mulan ! Too much Disney on my brain.
  25. For optimum tasting, they must be hot and purchased from someone who has set up a stand at the side of the road. I'm a transplanted Yankee and I don't like them enough to seek them out, but if I start eating them because they're there, I find them addictive.
