  1. 1st page? I think you may need to change your tag to "It is GREAT to be TCD" -- health improvement and CM discounts, I'm not sure it gets better than that.
  2. So I could literally do a Couch to 5K without actually leaving my couch! And get a cool participation medal. I do note that it says it's based on the honor system, so that would be assuming I'm not honorable, which I am so I won't actually do that.
  3. I really really appreciate the thought you put into my question. It sounds like it may be best not to risk it, though. I actually went ahead and made the resort reservation as I'm less sure that camping would work out and I hated to lose the price for the resort that would work best for us with 5 people (All Star Movies family suite). It seemed more probable that a campsite would be open later on if I decide to switch. Thank you again for being so helpful.
  4. Thanks, Jason! Would I put all the names on both reservations, just with a different lead guest name? We aren't doing dining plan and have non-expire tickets already so I don't imagine it would mess anything else up.
  5. Can the same person hold two reservations at the same time? I really want to take advantage of this offer and I really want to camp (tent), but I'm not sure that camping is going to work for us and if not I'd like to have a backup reservation at a resort. I'd know more than 5 days out which we would do. Probably not, but I thought I'd ask the experts.
  6. I think this is great in theory, but I think in reality people who want to do this will recruit others to buy 10 each. At least online or where you don't have to have a park ticket like resorts and Disney Springs, etc.
  7. Or even longer. Look for my name in an article saying I spent a year living near and holding an annual pass to every Disney theme park. In my dreams....
  8. Usually most of my $ has gone to the visit so I don't spend a lot on souvenirs. But I like things I can see every day to remind me of my visit. I usually get a magnet for the refrigerator with the year on it, one or more of those expandable washcloths (they call them towels but they're small) and my refillable mug. I also have a small collection of pins that reflect something I particularly enjoyed on each visit.
  9. I love Lego minifigures. I'm going to start hinting to my kids for my Mother's Day present. I always put minifigures in their Christmas stockings. As well as in my own. And then I get excited about all of them.
  10. " Ice Cream Novelties & Select Beverages Included! In the midst of the laughs and thrills, be sure to chill out with ice cream novelties and select bottled beverages—included with the cost of admission—available at carts stationed through the park." Unlimited Mickey Bars for $150? Hmmmmm... Or will they substitute some lesser ice cream novelties?
  11. Coming from the east and going to WDW we like to avoid the entire Atlanta area by getting off I-85 at Commerce and taking 441 to 129 to Macon and then getting on I-75 and sailing down into Fla. BUT we are just a minivan not towing anything. Parts of that way are nice fairly empty scenic roads but I can't remember all of it. However, I don't know if that would be your best bet if you are going to Destin since that's west of Atlanta. What route do you usually take after you go through Atlanta?
  12. They just put in preferred parking at Dollywood last year, I think. Their tram system is pretty good and we often walk from the closest lot (after the handicapped and RV lots). But for comparison: Standard Parking Parking for all standard length vehicles is $12; oversize length vehicles such as RVs and trailers are $18. Trams provide transportation to the Front Gate. However, parking is FREE if you purchase a Dollywood Gold Season Pass. RV Parking Parking for RVs and oversize vehicles is $18. This allows you to park your RV in our "Permit Parking" lot. Trams provide transport
  13. When I book a hotel I never just look at the nightly rate anymore. I always go to the total amount to see all the fees, etc. If they don't provide it I usually look to book elsewhere. We've stayed at the Dolphin a couple of times and they charge a $25 per night fee.
  14. Wow! That's a great picture. I could see entering in a contest about capturing the perfect Disney vacation.
  15. Well, don't look at me. 2015 was the first year since 2007 that I didn't go to Florida.
  16. I don't have a trailer so I'm not sure what the requirements are, but what about the area near Marineland and Fort Matanzas Nat'l. Park. We often detour that way because It's beautiful. You may even be able to park in the Marineland parking lot.
  17. I made this a couple of times few years ago and as I recall it was ok - good. I think it may depend on the type of ice cream as I made it with cheaper ice cream and I thought it lacked something. I didn't add anything to it like chips or sprinkles, though. I may need to try it again.
  18. And in the "everyone has a different opinion and that's why we're just going to have to agree to disagree" category, this is where I vote for then instead of now. Having my children wake up in a tent and go outside and play or explore their surroundings vs having my children (admittedly now teenagers) wake up and reach for their phones / Ipads to connect to the Fort wifi and stare mesmerized at the sacred words of their friends back home or their favorite online game. But this obviously isn't Fort exclusive. Just one thing I'd love to actually get away from while on vacation which mea
  19. Have you contacted the outside vendor? Undercover Tourist will refund, minus 5% fee, in some cases if you haven't linked them.
  20. This isn't actually a free thing AT the Fort, but we did this while staying at the Fort. One of the most fun days we had when my kids were around 10 & 12 was go on an adventure visiting several other resorts. We rode on a boat, bus and monorail, saw lots of things (especially the animals at AKL) and only spent $ on lunch in the Polynesian quick serve and a snack. There's so much to see at WDW that's not in the parks. And we weren't in a hurry to get to the next thing like in the parks so it was a very relaxing day spent together. At the Fort, Wishes from the beach is also a favorite.
  21. Kids look adorable! Good you didn't let a little (lot) of rain stop you from having some fun.
  22. Wow. I just renewed my Sams membership and for $45 got --- a Sams membership. I should have looked around for a deal. That sounds like the the new "superfood side" at Chik Fil A -- Chopped Broccolini® and kale blend, tossed in a sweet and tangy maple vinaigrette dressing and topped with flavorful dried sour cherries. Served with our roasted nut blend. -- which is something like $3.50 for a small bowl. I need to look for that next time I go to Sams.
  23. This is what I've been saying forever. Disney doesn't make staying onsite affordable for what they call "large" families. Our last visit Thanksgiving week 2013 our Fort site plus renting a pop-up from Fort Camper Rentals was about $180/night for our family of 5. The next cheapest onsite hotel option was at least $50 more per night. And with the Fort we could save $ by eating meals at our campsite and all 5 of us could get ready at the same time in the comfort stations. Going so rarely we want to stay onsite. The next best option where we stayed over the Thanksgiving holiday nights because
