Not a Golf Cart Anymore
fotofx....Steve replied to fotofx....Steve's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
I was concerned because the golf cart rules say licensed vehicles can not park in golf cart parking areas. Also says that they should have a maximum speed of 20 mph. By definition an LSV must be able to go over 20 mph. -
So lets say someone had a golf cart that has been converted to a LSV (low speed vehicle) which means in addition to all the safety equipment it now also has a tag. Still looks exactly like a golf cart. Do you think there would be any issue using it in the Fort if the tag is removed? Providing it is operated at less the 20 mph of course. Do you think they would notice the tag bracket or would it need to come off too? Any thoughts?

Oh how far we have come. I remember as a kid getting a pistol from the pirates gift shop. You would put a cork ball in it (included) and one cap under the hammer. There was a tiny hole under where the cap went that went back behind the barrel. When you pulled the trigger it went off like a cap gun but actually fired the cork. No red tips on the barrels back in those days..

Gator at Splash Mountain!?!

Yeah the cobra is a bit unusual.. Maybe he is headed to Harry Potter. Slash Mountain is more of a Gator attraction. -
Gator at Splash Mountain!?!
fotofx....Steve replied to Littleolwoman.aka.Kristie's topic in WDW and Disney Park Discussions
Was just there two weekends ago and there was a small one (4 foot) in the riverboat waterway across from the shooting gallery(looks like the one on facebook above). I also know that a year or so ago there was a three legged one in the splash mountain pond (same pond again as above). Must be pretty common. -
I have one, you can drop a whole apple in it and it will liquefy the entire thing. Not even a remnant of a seed. Most powerful blender I have ever used. Unfortunately for the cost I don't think I use it enough.

No interest in planning my fast passes
fotofx....Steve replied to Beckers's topic in WDW and Disney Park Discussions
What I would really like to know is what percentage of fast passes get used. That is the problem I see is that allot of resources are being reserved "Just In Case" and as a result many fast passes and dining options are not available. I know they are trying to fix this by charging a dining deposit but that does not help fast passes. -
http://touch.sun-sentinel.com/#section/1098/article/p2p-83280143/ A 36-year-old Davenport man died today after a Lamborghini in which he was riding lost control at the Richard Petty Driving Experience at Walt Disney World. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the driver failed to maneuver the high-powered sports car through one of the course's curves, and the vehicle's right side struck a guardrail. The passenger was pronounced dead at the scene, according to FHP's Sgt. Kim Montes. The male driver was taken to Celebration Hospital with minor injuries. Neither the driver nor the pas

I am also in the Fort Lauderdale area. I had a travel trailer for a few years. Found that it was not as convenient to just go up when I wanted too. Also was restricted by the number of passengers I could fit in the truck. In November I rented from Cruise America behind the airport and we drove up in a class C. Came home, traded in the TT and now have a Class A. Have been out with it almost every weekend since. Back to the Fort twice already.. Be Careful, you will become addicted.

Staying in site 1501: a sort-of trip report
fotofx....Steve replied to sherryberry's topic in Trip Reports
In my opinion the perfect trip report.. Cut right to the food photos.. -
Back gate? Are you talking about the entrance the buses use just past the overflow? I thought the only gate we could come in and out through is the main one with the guard shack. Are guests allowed to use another entrance?

The Monorails Are Past Their Prime
fotofx....Steve replied to DaveInTN's topic in Travel and Transportation
The monorails are in the middle of a major upgrade.. Fully automated within the next year. Have to wonder how that is going to work out. -
