do we really need a golf cart
cypressaggie replied to cypressaggie's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
Yes, we are, Cypress, Northwest of Houston, I know there is a Cypress near Dallas. I am still not sure about the golf cart, we keep spending money getting ready to go, may have to skip this time, the unknown of gas expense has me stressing. -
Last weekend, we magic erasered the tt, with strong cleaner. Friday, I used Mequirs oxidation remover on a 5 yr old Outback. Then used the polish and then waxed it. The cap had no shine, do to oxidation. We applied the oxidation remover 3-4 times per area. Impressed with the results. We used a orbital buffer, which helped lots with the work. Now to do the sides and back on Sat, hopefully we will not have to apply oxidation remover as many times on the sides.

do we really need a golf cart
cypressaggie replied to cypressaggie's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
We are suppose to be in loop 300. We are still on the fence about a cart. My husband wants one, but I am ok with the bus and bikes. Topsail is suppose to be amazing. The fact that we were able to get a spot is a miracle. We do like to check out other camp sites. We are there for 10 days, so we can enjoy Disney at a slower pace, if there is such a thing. What to do. If we are going to MK, then my husband would have to ride his scooter anyway and we would be on the cart. The only reason we would use the golf cart is for looping and the pool. What do y'all think, I am not cancelling Top -
I forgot to order one, does anyone know how long it takes to get one made and sent. We leave on the 14th. Thanks, Liz

This is our first long trip with the trailer, so not sure about how much gas will be, so want to be conservative with the money we have saved for the trip. We are vaca'ing for a month on the road, so lots and lots and lots of gas. -

We are going to Disney in June. I have reserved a golf cart. It is $250 for 10 days. I am really wondering if we need a golf cart. My husband has a scooter, which he will use to go to and from places. Then there is the bus transportation inside the fort. Just trying to save a little money. I know it would be cool to use a golf cart, know we would have a blast, but we are going on our first month long vacation and money is an issue at this point. We have never been to the fort, fyi, looking for advice! Liz

We are coming to the Fort in June for our first trip. There are 2 boys that are part of our everyday life. They used to live on our street, but moved to apts a yr and half ago. They spend lots of time with our family. We take them camping with us most of our trips. There mother is less than ideal. Does anyone know who or how I may be able to get tickets for them. My neighborhood helps me with clothes, Christmas presents, our cub scout pack pays for them to be in Scouts, etc. The neighborhood helps so much, no one has offered to help with money for us to bring them with us to Disney.

dining plan or not
cypressaggie replied to cypressaggie's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
Thanks y'all, I am thinking we are going to not get the dining plan. I think we are going to eat at the park some, but limit it to like $60/day. I think that staying in the rv will allow us to eat before we go to the park, take snacks and sandwiches, etc with s into the park. I just can't see spending $1450 on a dining plan for 10 days, just ridiculous to me, just saying. I know someone said to shorten the trip, but my husband has MS, he has to take things a bit slower, so we planned on staying longer, so we don't have to do so much everyday. I agree that the meal plan is lots of food. -
ok, I am stressing out on how much it cost for the dining plan. I am cheap, frugile, etc. I also have a husband that likes to order the most expensive items on the menu, tea, and dessert. We are staying for at least 9 nights. We are a family of 2 adults and a 9y/o son. This is our first trip to WDW. I eliminated the park hopper, per feedback a few weeks ago, but didn't get responses for dining plan. I know we will eat in the trailer for breakfast most days. I have no problem packing snacks, sandwiches, etc to brig in the park. I am planning on buying brita water bottles for the pa

You can buy Disney gifts cards at Kroger, give them your Kroger card number to get credit for the purchase and save tons of money on gas. I then give the gift cards to the travel agent/Disney for payment. You can also buy them for use in the parks. Liz

We are coming to Disney for the first time this summer. We are staying 9 days, have 8 days in the parks. My husband has to use a scooter. I am wondering if it is a good idea to just go to one park a day. I heard that is it a bit of effort to get scooter on and off the Disney transit system. I figured we would hit each park once and then go back a second time for things we missed or want to do again. How likely is it that we would need to go from park to park in one day. Also, most likely, my husband wouldn't go to the water parks, just my 8 yr old son and myself. We are interested in D

We tent camped quite a bit prior to our tt. We still tent camp for scouts. Suggestion, it hot in Fl, we are in Tx, bring an a/c, if you bring a window unit, bring a stand to put the a/c on and a bucket that will fit underneath for the water drips. You will freeze at night, so awesome to haev a/c, especiallyy if you are going in the summer. If you tent is big, bring an extra chair to put in the tent, nice to be able to sit down to put clothes, sock, read, etc. We bring a portable dvd player, great for quite time for the kids. I would suggest a clothes rack or line, for towels, etc. Ant kille
