  1. That Cliffhanger ride looks great...I want to try it! I agree...great job, CJ!
  2. I saw a story about it on the FOX website. It also said they felt it was a precursor to testing a new system they were calling X-pass, where you could schedule your passes online weeks or months in advance. Don't know if there is any validity to that or not, just repeating what the story said. Never heard of it anywhere else. Anybody?
  3. If we're travelling and not familiar with any campgrounds in the area, we prefer KOA's. We have never found a "bad" one. Some local mom-and-pop campgrounds have told us they would have a site for our big 5er to fit in, but we have arrived to find that to be less than accurate. We have also found some that are almost impossible to maneuver in, and, shall we say, less than clean. I just feel safer making "blind" reservations at a KOA. They are always clean, friendly, and easy to navigate.
  4. The DD's love Lemonaid Mouth. I make them watch it in the basement.
  5. It never ceases to amaze me that so many "adults" can have so much fun with one typo. Sometimes it's hard to keep up....
  6. That's exactly how I found this place! Sitting one night doing some online research for our next trip, and found the fiends with a search. I had never seen the site before, so I decided to take a look. Little did I know that the site had just been "born", or the reasons for the birth. Didn't matter, I found a group of like-minded individuals who collectively have a huge amount of information and are interested only in helping each other have a great time on vacation. What more could you ask for? Disney vacations at the fort are great. They're even better with some guidance and suggestions
  7. No Comment...... :hugsmiley: CK...the back seat of my truck looked just like that a couple of years ago. We're just out of "seats" now. Sometimes I wish they were still in them. It just makes me feel they are safer. The guys still laugh when they get in with me for work. Quick inventory... tiedowns...check towstrap...check hydraulic jack...check toolbox...check babydolls...check Hannah Montana hairbrush...check 2 little girls can make a big truck very interesting, but I wouldn't give'em up for the world. Carry on with your TR. You're off to a good start...
  8. Oh I read it...I just don't care. :clint: I'm at work...and I pi$$ people off for a living. :popo: Seriously, I'm sorry for being nice to you. I'll try not to let it happen again. :raspberry:
  9. My family, my vacation, my money. Some of the guys I work with envy the fact that we spend time at Disney. Others give me that "You're going back again?" speech. I ask them why they think it's any of their business or concern. One of them just spent 4 nights in NYC with his wife. They shopped and went to shows and restaurants where they ate things I didn't recognize. Oh dear God...jam bamboo under my nails... But ya know what? It's what they like to do, and they had a great time, so good for them. I'd never down-talk their trips. What others do on vacation doesn't have any effect on
  10. Third time's a charm... :heartsmiley: ...Or is it three strikes and you're out??? :achmed:
  11. That's a tapir. No, I didn't have to look it up. I have no idea why that piece of information is stored in my head. There's a lot of stuff I should know and don't, but for some reason I know what that pig-thing is. A tapir. I somehow feel dumber for knowing that...
  12. I'm a little late to this party, but let me return to page 1 for a moment. I have a small "public service announcement" about the following subject: From "The Healthy Snacks Blog"... The Top 5 Health Benefits of Cinnamon: 1. Cinnamon is effective in fighting infections, ulcers, and head lice. (I don't get the connection :thinking-smiley: ) 2. Cinnamon has anti-inflammatory properties. 3. Cinnamon helps people with Type-2 diabetes control blood sugar. 4. Cinnamon is an excellent source of dietary fiber, iron, and calcium. 5. Studies have shown that cinnamon improves memory. Well folks...t
  13. Prayers for the families of those involved in this tragedy. Also to those who had to respond and deal with the carnage. It is not an easy thing to see and work through. Stay safe, my friends.
  14. You're worrying too much. Relax and have fun! You certainly don't have to worry about crossing the road. A camper entering or exiting the area, golf carts, and the occasional bus. That's about it. There are times you could dance in the street and not block any traffic!
  15. We like the 500 loop. Stayed there for 2 weeks last June/July. Didn't have to clean up after anyone else's dog, and never heard a single bark at night. In fact, the only time we heard a dog was when the owners of a labrador retriever were playing with him and intentionally making him bark for a ball. And this was in the middle of the day. Overall...never had any dog problems in a pet loop.
  16. I'm thinking one of the fiends should get a job as the official "Fort Paperboy" Maybe TCD...he likes to get up early. He should deliver newspapers to every site with a Snarky sign out front. Waddaya think?
  17. Good luck, Lou. You are not going to believe how his presence will snarl traffic. Everything stops while he's on the road...
  18. I guess I have to disagree with some of you this time. Disney has a lot of neat "stuff"...and i lot of stuff that I'd like to have. This ain't one of those things...that thing is ug-lee! For some reason, it reminds me of Ronald McDonald. Just my opinion, y'all are welcome to love it all ya want. To each their own.
  19. Me either, but her hash browns are absolutely incredible... :heartsmiley:
  20. TCD...here's what works for me, as DD7 and DD9 love "shaped" pancakes. Those are not molds for the pancakes, they're cutters! (at least at our house) Make bigger round pancakes, and cut the shapes out after they are done. Works every time. Oh...and at our house, daddy's breakfast (that would be mine) consists of the pancake "scraps" cut off during the all-important shaping...
