As far as preventing theft...we went to Lowe's and bought a cable with finished loops on both ends. If we leave it any where (like the bus stop out front) I loop it through the left front tire, and loop the other end through the steering wheel. Lock it on with a combination lock. Entire process takes about 15 seconds. Is it foolproof? Nope. But it will keep someone from simply using their own key and driving away. There are commercially sold locks and security systems, but they're pricey. We have about 20 bucks in our setup.

We dealt with that earlier. The kids wouldn't stop...and the parents were taking pictures. That's the maddest I've seen DW in a long time. She really lit into them. Apparently it was a temporary fix .

Several different sites show Luke Bryan's next tour date as July 11th, so it's not out of the question that he could give a private performance tonight. BTW...tomorrow is Hannah's 10th birthday, and she is nuts about Luke Bryan. Think I can convince her that I set this up just for her?

That's exactly what they are. I talked to a CM watching the work from the dock about 2 hours ago. He knew they were placing anchors for fireworks barges, but he either didn't know for sure when they were scheduled, or he just wouldn't tell me!

That's understandable. It's obviously stuck to mine somewhere. Fireworks are supposed to be at 11...what time should we head down?

The model Camping World has on sale is the exact one we use. That is a good price.

UPDATE #2....Surge Guard tech support says our surge protector did exactly what it is supposed to do, and depending on conditions it may take 30-60 minutes "off line" for the protector to reset. I told him I was concerned that the unit may now be compromised in some way. His explanation...if the unit is lighting, and showing a display on the LED screen, it is still functioning and providing protection. If the LED screen is blank, the unit is no good. Seems simple enough. Surge Guard gets our endorsement!
