  1. I don't have a particular day I prefer to drive. I just try to time it so we miss rush hour in the major cities. Typically we hit the road before the sun comes up & drive until 8pm or so. This year we are hitting the road at 1am so I can do it in one stop over. Hopefully I can avoid needing 4 new tires the night we are leaving. :argh:
  2. Wow that is a heck of a story. Monique I don't know how you constantly find these great articles.
  3. I agree some things do look a little cartoonish in away. But then again not everyone gets to go there six or seven times in a year. People who only get to go once in while or have never gone & are planning trips I believe would find these useful or at least fun to look at.
  4. I was using Google Earth today & found a new feature (at least to me). You can tour all of the parks & resorts in 3D using "ground view". If you've never been or just can't get enough it gives you a little bit of that Disney magic. Below are just a few of the images available. 8. This is the same problem we are having. It's hard to not chose the fort just because we love it so much. Right now I can think of a dozen reasons not to stay at a resort. However I can only think of one reason not to stay at FW. Good luck it's a hard decision.
  9. I love this photo. I've never seen this before.
  10. The hippie dude is kinda cool. Looks like he has a weird mouse fetish & is color blind to boot.
  11. Starbuc71 I was finally able to sit down & read every page. This TR has so many wonderful photos & it is just fantastic. The Smokie Mountains are now a must visit on our list. I love your truck it looks great.
  12. Congratulations!!  Be sure to post some pictures when you pick it up.
  13. I take it that when you say a family van that you mean minivan. You will be limited to a popup at best with that type of tow vehicle. Some people do tow hybrids with them & say they tow well. However they are all well over the tow limit of the minivan which is usually a max of 3500lbs. Where you are traveling by yourself with kids my only real concern is this. By at least a hybrid or travel trailer & an adequate truck or full size van. That way you will have plenty of space & be completely self contained. With hybrids some people complain about having to setup the bunks. Be sure t
  14. I've always wondered if there was some way to have a campfire there. Thanks for the info.
  15. Now that my wife is done complaining. I have to say I agree.
  16. I never did thank you Dave for showing me the way here. I have no idea where I am on the on the membership list but thanks to you I made it within the first couple hours. I think you were also the first fiend to get a new camper also.
  17. Congratulations on your new camper & truck. Your camper is a beauty. That must be record time for totaling & replacing a camper. Enjoy the driveway camping. Good luck with it.
