Will I survive? Doodle at the Fort in July.
Family of Bears replied to doodlebug....Cherie's topic in Trip Reports
Craziest TR ever. Can't wait to get there...gonna be funnnn!!! We'll be there saturday, we'll definately stop by to say hello. :) -
So crazy you posted this! I am callin today to hopefully sign Bella up for Saturday's lesson. She's been walking around with her toy Merida bow and arrow since Saturday when she saw the movie so we are going to surprise her :). She's actually gotten quite good at the toy. At first she had no clue and there were some meltdowns, but she's been really practicing and there are little paper bullseyes taped up all over the house. I am sure she will be walking around the fort all next week with her bow around her back and her arrows strapped to her. I'll post a review if we get in on Saturday :)

Great question! You never want that awkward..."Hey, just stopped by to say hello...oh, sorry, you were napping"...situation. We are only in the tent from midnight to wake up time around 9. Other than that, we are outside, at the pool, or eating out. If you see me, stop and grab a chair. We are very friendly. And we always have a stocked cooler.

This is NOT a Trip Report - May 27 - June 9, 2012

You know that whole bacteria thing...I know it's real b/c I know it has hurt people (in other lakes that I know of). However, I have watched a triathalon at the fort and they do the swim part in the lake. In the shallow part. They just run down the beach and jump in. That was in May, so a very hot time of year. The night before, they were doing the troll around the lake with the lights to look for gators. They can see their eyes with the lights. So apparently there are gators and bacteria in that lake. But I guess there are gators and bacteria in every lake. Don't really know where I -
The Wave - Disney’s Contemporary Resort
Family of Bears replied to BradyBzLyn...Mo's topic in Dining Reviews and Information
Ya, totally worth the 15. It is really big and the salsa verde and cheese sauce are top notch. Rick is a huuuuuuge eater, and I bet we could split it for lunch. Between half the burger and the side (and the key lime martini), it would be enough for two. I pay 12$ for a bison burger here at home and that does not include sides or toppings. Bison is better for you, but it is pricey! -

Gwen, we did breakfast. Rick did the buffet, he enjoyed it very much. I got the egg white frittata. It was great. After the key lime martini success, I think im gonna have to go back b/c the eggs benedict has key lime sauce on it. Yum! Oh, and the feta and egg scramble. The wave may very well be one of my favs :) -

Yes!! The bison burger is insanely good!! There is a three cheese sauce on it and I had the couscous on the side which was great. Rick got the potato wedges which were huge and good too. ***The bison burger is served at lunch with the toppings. At dinner, it is not on the menu but they will serve it, however it comes out plain. Don't bother. Go for lunch to get it **** The other MUST do is the key lime martini. The glass is rimmed in graham cracker crumbs. So good. I wrote about all this in my real time dining recommendations from my last trip. Can't wait to go back during our 4th t -

This is the same guy from Raglan Road!!! Yay! He plays every night there. If you enjoyed him at Epcot, wait till you see the show over there. **sidenote: it seems I talk about Raglan a lot. No, I am not getting paid to promote them. Apparently I just really like it there** Great TR, enjoying it! -
Thanks to you, I learned something new today. I had never heard of this concoction, maybe never noticed since I don't pay much attention to the margarita section of the menu. I'm gonna be honest, I'm not a fan. Kinda weirds me out.

Awesome pics so far. Love those primitive sites on the water. Great idea to make that the meet up and relax area. Can't wait to see what shenanigans you all got up to.

Your report is keeping me busy until we leave for the fort tomorrow!! I'm hoping to get one of those happy camper shirts, so cute. I've seen those Bud Light Margaritas. Not a margarita fan, so haven't tried them, but I love Bud Light Lime, so they always catch my eye. Do they taste like margarita or beer? Or both? Sounds like a full on contradiction to me. Glad you had a successful trip :)

Karla, great TR!! Aiden is so cute. Him and Bella would get along great! We will be getting there on Wednesday evening. Is that the day you leave? Hopefully you are still there so the kids can play! Stef, are you wearing the happy camper shirt? Does anyone at the fort know if these are still in stock? Sooo cute! -
OMG!! I have wanted to ask about bear rock for soooooooo long but didnt want to sound like an idoit. And this is coming from the girl who actually asked the first guy I see if he is Bob.

Deb, I really think you can get the Hilton for lower if you wait...like I said before, I was getting an 89$/night rate with that honors corporate code. That way it is your lowest option and you are at the one you want...they are the hotel also that offers EMH, the only non-disney hotel that has that. You could always book the one that you think is the best for now and then keep checking...if one goes down, which I think they will, then grab it. I don't know if you can beat 89 a night including EMH. Good luck!!

Stef, never met you in person, but the sweatshirt you are wearing is just too cute. It doesn't matter who you are, anyone who meets you when you are wearing that can't help but think..."awe.....so cute"

I love those drawer bins. I never did get it figured out how to pack clothes. Always in bags, then bags are everywhere. This is brilliant. See, your pre TR is already paying off. Looking forward to more! When will you be there? We will be there most likely easter weekend...hopefully!
