Hot Fun in the Summertime-TCD's August 2012 TR
Family of Bears replied to Tri-Circle-D's topic in Trip Reports
TCD, how'd you like that site? That's where we spent the week for the 4th. Loved it. And the lime tree. human bacteria frappe. [ I have wondered about this rule. Once I had an ice water in a solo cup and the driver had me throw it away, so I was assuming it was a no drinks at all on the bus rule. Nice to know I can have my mug. I do believe there are rules for a reason, so I wasn't mad when he had me get rid of it, but it was 800 degrees out, so I was a little uncomfortable. -

Family of Bears replied to AC in A2......Aaron's topic in Trip Reports
OMG. Aaron. For some reason I knew I liked you awhile ago from your previous posts. Now I am sure. I like you very much. You are really funny! This is the most ridiculous anniversary trip I have ever seen. Seriously. In a good way. You and your wife obviously have a great sense of humor. Can't wait to see the rest of this thing, I mean, this very romantic trip. Which fiend was it that did hoity toity tea with their wife with the crooked cake for their anniversary? You guys kinda remind me of each other. CKCK2 I think. -

OMG, those pics literally made me laugh out loud. It's like, who are these people, why are we so pathetic...I saw TJs pics, I am guilty of not taking any, does anyone have anything less awkward than what has previously been posted? -

Great TR, looking forward to the group pics we snapped on the next day. Don't feel too bad about the insurance stuff, Rick also is in the business :) As for drinking crown in the van...I am not ashamed. It was wicked hot, and I had just curled my hair...a girl's gotta have a way to cool down. Keep up the good work, loved the comfort station pic with the slice logo. Good stuff. -
Will I survive? Doodle at the Fort in July.

Yay! I met Doodle. She's alive!! Good times here at the fort. Met bob and lorna and doodle and all kinds of fiends. Everyone is very friendly! -
Ya, I can vouch for that steak. So so good. I am always more of a ribeye girl, which they also have on the menu, but there is something about this steak with the pineapple that is just right. And ya, same wings as Ohana. We usually split the wings and split the steak. Between that and the bread, we are full and I think that is some of the best value for the most food you can get for dinner anywhere at Disney.

Okay, now I asked Yensid last time and now I'm asking you...I'm going to need you to go ahead and lay down in an empty site in the 1500 loop and save it for us. We'll be there Saturday lunch time. Too much to ask?
-
Oh, well I'll just call you Mr. Helpful then :raspberry2:

So THATS what Bob looks like! Nothing like the guy I harrassed on the dock last trip :rofl2: -
Now, may I hijack for a moment? Question on the mini fridge...Where to put it when camping in a tent. In the tent? Outside? If it's outside, the otters will steal all the good stuff. We always leave our coolers in the back of the van so nothing gets taken, but ice never lasts long and quite honestly, I don't trust meat from a cooler. If we are away from the site too long, the ice melts and the meat just doesn't appeal to me after that. Can you leave the mini fridge in the tent?

Great TR, being a tent camper myself with an only DD about the age of yours, I enjoyed reading along. Our setup is exactly yours inside the tent, although dd and I share the big bed and DH gets the twin to himself. The weight distribution (he is twice my weight) does not allow us to share an air mattress! Two tips I know you will love: In the middle, that extra room between the beds, we lay a small carpet. Makes a world of difference to feel that beneath your feet. Instead of packing bags, we stole the idea from Yensid, we got those rubbermaid 3 tall drawers and pack our clothes in there.

haha Brent, get down with the lingo. "napping" isn't really napping. Other than that, you are on your own. I don't know what the heck is going on.
