DH bought me the Cuisinart 5in1 Grill/griddle for my birthday last year. It works great and Amazon has it marked down to $79.00.

Be careful using AAA Trip Tik for planning. At times they will have you taking a much longer route than you need to.

There are roads in Michigan? I just thought there was a bit of scattered cement between the potholes. Oh and I am really enjoying your Gettysburg tour as the girls and I just recently finished studying the Civil War.

I would go that route too.

You really have a few different routes to take to get there. One would take you through Wisconsin and Minnesota then to SD. Another would have you going through Illinois and Iowa with part of your path in Iowa being right on the Iowa Nebraska border. If you have the time, I would recommend a visit to the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha. What might be fun to do is go there one way and return another. Of course this would depend on how much actual time you had for this vacation.

A word of warning for you. I am not sure if cell service has improved or not, but when we were driving on I-90 through a lot of SD the reception was scarce. I have Verizon and I was able to have at least one bar to make a quick call. At the time DH had TMobile and got nothing. Someone also mentioned a book on another thread that tells you what is at the next exit. Invest in that book. The exits are few and far between. Besides Wall Drug other places we stopped at were The Corn Palace and the Bad Lands.

Looking forward to it! Thinking my son will be able to watch it without climbing into my lap and hiding his face this time. He got scared during Finding Nemo when he thought the little girl was going to hurt Nemo. :'( If he does, I'm in trouble as he is bigger than me now. :rofl3:

One thing to consider too is that your son if your son is 9 on the trip he will have to order off the kids menu if you go with the dining plan. You need to consider what kinds of foods he would most likely want to order. By around age 9 my son was becoming more adventurous with trying new foods. He would have hated being forced to order from a kids menu.

It is suppose to be cool and rainy here on Thursday. I do believe this sounds like the perfect dinner for that night.
