  1. Loving the pictures. We have yet to get to the Gulf and we have lived here for 12 years. Thinking we need to fix this. In our defense when we lived in Maryland we were less than three hours away from the beach. When I was in college only 30 minutes away. Now that we have been here awhile 6 hours doesn't seem like such a long drive.
  2. I'm here. Actually I have been, but just keep running out if time to chime in. Hello to Twin #3 if she is reading along and Happy Birthday to her boy Nate.
  3. The parade pics are cool. Aaron, do your brother and his wife live in Michigan too? If so, I wonder if they know my cousin and her husband. I believe they are part of the same group.
  4. I have gotten some that could be applied to the campsites. Sadly we did not have any plans to go at the time.
  5. We haven't been in about 5 years. Really need to get back there.
  6. I also really enjoyed your private tour. What did the kids think of it?
  7. Hey slow down. I don't run that fast. Ok who am I kidding. I don't run at all. I will be here trailing behind.
  8. Loving this report. I would love to travel like this one day.
  9. Great report! Add me to the list of people wanting to take a trip to DL & CA. I did get to spend a day in DL with a friend back in 91. Truthfully before your report I really did not have a desire to go back. Thanks for enlightening me to the pros of a trip to the west coast. I know you really didn't take any pood forn pictures and your trip seemed to not involve heavily on "where to eat", but I was wondering just on your casual observations were there places to eat which seemed more in demand than others. It seems like many of the trip reports focusing on DW are filled with places people
  10. Not sure how to share the link for the SMGG. Hopefully someone will be along who can though.
  11. You should come join us at the Stone Mountain GG during Memorial Weekend!
  12. :dropjaw: Must refrain from commenting further on this topic. But, waiting to see if this turns up as a new tag for Nicki. :rofl3: Oh and still enjoying your report Dave!
  13. Here are the pictures of mine. Sorry it doesn't look as pretty as the one in the recipe. Here is one after a row has been removed. As I said, not prettty. But Jessica went back for seconds and even wanted thirds. I told her she had to wait until the guys had at least had some. :rofl3: So, I guess I will be making it again, but not anytime soon and I will probably just go ahead and use the already prepared alfredo sauce sold at the stores. Also next time I will add more spinach. I only sprinkled a little bit inside each roll.
  14. In the process of making these for tonight's dinner. I will let you know what the verdict is after we have eaten them. Some observations made while preparing them: The recipe does not flow easily. Definetly use the heavy cream instead of the 1/2 and 1/2 if you are making the homemade sauce unless you have tons of patience and time to wait for the sauce to thicken. The recipe calls for 3 cups of cheese and then says to put about 3 tablespoons on each roll. Of course doing this you have a ton extra so, I just sprinkled more on each row. Then got to the end and is says to top with remaining chees
  15. Things like that tend to happen around here when the Tooth Fairy has done some celebrating before making the rounds. Let's just say child really enjoyed getting that $20 bill.
  16. I guess you did not get the memo. It was not just any random day off. It was to honor my son's birthday which happened to be the day before. Of course since there obviously wouldn't be school on Sunday they had to give the students Monday off. Too bad for my son it was your daughters' school and not his that honored his birthday. :rofl3: Oh and I like beets too. Especially the candied ones my mom would make for us growing up. The beet lollipop does not sound appetizing at all.
