  1. You could do like my girls do when we are having steaks while camping, just pick the thing up and eat it. I mean really who needs silverware anyways. :rofl3:
  2. My brother and his wife got us a camp kitchen for Christmas a couple years back. I love it.
  3. Also look into previous year models that never sold. That is how we got our TT for about $10,000 off the price of a new year model. We were shopping in 2007 and bought a 2006 model.
  4. Yeah!! Looking forward to reading more. I swear Z gets cuter with each picture posted of him.
  5. A friend of mine takes her kids there. She did say she prefers the breakfast meal over the lunch or dinner one. She also recommended it over CRT.
  6. Congratulations on the upcoming birth of your son! Looking forward to reading more about your trip.
  7. Add me to the list of people who dream of going to Yellowstone. How far of a drive was it from there to Mt Rushmore?
  8. DD11 would probably think they same thing as you do about Mount Si. She's a huge Duck Dynasty fan and thinks Si is the best!
  9. All right, it looks like I won't get this done before I leave, but I wanted to get a quick update in before turning in for the night. While we were at the Bohemian Cafe we picked up and order of these for breakfast the next day. We were going to go to the zoo that afternoon, but first wanted to go get some lunch. So we went here. One of the recommended items to order was the ricotta pancakes. So we did. We also ordered a homemade Italian sausage sandwich with roasted red peppers. I don't remember what this was, but I know there is a side Italian sausage with it. The food was really
  10. The ice cream place is cool. We returned here later in the trip. I had found it while I was doing some research on places to go in the downtown area. I grew up here, but not in downtown Omaha. In fact when I lived in the area there really wasn't much to downtown Omaha. I didn't try the slide.
  11. Your 4th of July activities didn't happen to include turtle races this year did it?
  12. Notice that Jessica does have the "Hands Up!" thing down. Before I know she'll be planning her own WWW with the next generation of Fiend WW's.
  13. Time to go walk or skip as some may choose off that meal. Now why would we need to do that? We would need to have room for this. That of course is what makes this for us. Really Mom? Another picture? Lucky for us Jessica loves the camera. Let’s try my sophisticated look this time. Oh look Rachel's playing Peek a Boo. :rofl2: This I call how to annoy your teenage child. Continue to press the button on your camera. We almost got him. Wait a minute he just realized he wants a milkshake. Well you need to pose for a picture first. Nope. Not good enough. I want a real smile. Not
  14. Last year we decided to finally finish our basement. What does this have to do with this trip report? Well it seems that this allowed us to earn many free nights using our Marriott Rewards. So, for our stay in Omaha we would be staying right downtown at the Courtyard. We got in pretty late that night so, I waited until the next day to get pictures. The bathroom The sink area with all our junk. The main room Our view As I mentioned we didn't get in until late the night before so, we really didn't do much that day. That night we went to dinner at our favorite place The Bohemian Caf
  15. The next day was a planned relaxing day. Well at least for the girls and me. One of the reasons for going back to Arnold was so that Steve could go through his dad's belongings. His sister who lives in Arkansas and brother who lives in Iowa had been out the previous month to to this, but he was unable to go then. So Drew and him went off to do that while the girls and I went here. The next day was our last day in Arnold. Time to do some last minute sightseeing in the Sandhills. The road you see pictured in the above two photos is where this takes place each August. http://
  16. Some information about the fireplace. First Sergeant's room Our trip to the Fort has come to and end. We head back to Arnold. With the intentions of getting some dinner at JIm's Bar. When we get back there, we find that the power is out. Since no one was sure how long this will last, we are given a flashlight to use. Thankfully it didn't last too long and we are able to get some dinner. Sorry no pictures.
  17. Continuing on our tour. They did have a golf cart there for people to use if they wanted to. As the area itself was not too big, I decided that walking was a better option for me. Jessica seems to enjoy it though. Yes and before you ask it does seem to be a habit we have to pat her belly or her bottom. We can't help it she has such a spank-able toosh. :rofl2: Some of the medicines used. The real reason I decided walking was better.
  18. Oops clicked post before I was done. Completed post is below.
  19. Thanks! I agree about the bread oven. Thanks for continuing to read along. I never thought about it either. Just one of those things we take for granted. Not sure about another trip report. My family is not as keen as you all are about me taking pictures of everything. :rofl3:
  20. Well it looks like we are headed back this way Saturday. So, I thought I should wrap this up. Being that it was over a year ago. The rest of this will be a report that Bob will appreciate. That's right lots of pictures not many words. For Dave I promise lots of Pood Forn! Following our trip to the mine we went to visit Fort Hartsuff State Historical Park. It was almost closing time when we got there. So we had the whole place to ourselves. Photos of what the Fort looked like back in the late 1800's. Some old tools, weapons, etc. Now it is time to explore the Fort itself. DS'
