  1. After reading this, I am convinced that this cruise would perfect for my mom. As I mentioned she does have mobility issues, so to make sure she has a great time and can do as much as possible I believe I should go along with her. Now I just need to let her and DH know my plans. She would probably be for it. DH well....not so sure.
  2. I've been following along, but have not gotten the chance to tell you how much I have been enjoying your report. I love zoos. My kids are not huge fans so we don't go too often. My dad was in the AirForce for 22 years. I'll have to ask him if he has ever been to the museum. If not he enjoys traveling and he just might enjoy going. I think we would even enjoy it. When we go to Nebraska we usually stop in Kansas City and go to Worlds of Fun which is owned by the same company as Kings Island. Now you've got my mind thinking things like if we got one of those passes where you can go to all the p
  3. Finally got a chance to catch up on this report. I love bridges. I find them fascinating. My 11 year old daughter is the same way. I think I am going to share this report with my mom. She has never been on a cruise before and I really think she would like this one. One question I do have is how accessible was the ship and the excursions? She has MS and uses a cane for short distances, but would need to use a scooter or wheelchair for longer distances.
  4. Hopefully Silvia remembers to video you and shares it.
  5. Hey! We are past the required 10 replies to answer the question asked. Where is FWG?
  6. http://consumerist.com/2013/08/27/disney-cruise-line-went-above-beyond-to-help-save-our-childs-life/ HAPPY ENDINGS Disney Cruise Line Went Above & Beyond To Help Save Our Child’s Life By Mary Beth Quirk August 27, 2013 (Disney Wonder) There’s nothing like the fear of having a sick child and not knowing what’s wrong — except maybe if your child is ailing on a ship off the coast of Alaska, hundreds of miles from the nearest onshore medical help. Consumerist reader Dan wrote in to share a very scary experience that could’ve turned out a lot worse, if not for the kind crew of the Disney Wonder
  7. I love that Twin#2 got in touch with Twin #1 and let her know the day for the planned Disney World trip. So glad that Twin #1 was able to meet you there.
  8. I have been wanting to go to this campground. My son has had his spring football game at John Carroll these past two years and Oak Mountain would be close enough to the school. Unfortunately it always seems to be scheduled right before exam week. One day though we will get to the campground.
  9. Beckers, there is no way I can make it to your house for cinnamon rolls today. Please give me more notice when you will be baking again.
  10. If you are an even number in your family say 4 or 6, do you have a better chance of having your own table verses families of 5 or 7?
  11. I do not get parents of young children sending them up to a buffet line by themselves. Our daughters are 11 and almost 13 and one of us is still near enough to them to help them should they need it.
  12. New LOF item...get into Concierge Lounge. Without actually staying in a concierge room of course.
  13. At times my teenage son might drive me crazy, but he has never been loud and obnoxious in public. In fact he tends to avoid hanging out with teens who act that way. I am fine with parents who want to drink. Even in front of their kids. Heck we do it. But that does not mean that you cease to be a parent when you are imbibing. Too many parents these days seem to want to be best buds with their teenagers instead of parents. No reason at all you should have had to deal with the screaming teens.
  14. Really! Besides, we know most of them are known to exaggerate when it comes to size.
  15. Glad you all got to share the first time experience of Disney World with your parents and that they are planning a return trip.
