Prior to the Potluck, 3 WWW in training approached their respective mothers to share with them a plan they had hatched. It seems they wanted to have a sleepover in the tent Jessica and I were using. I was a bit concerned as to what they planned to do with me, but they had that all figured out. I would be staying in Judy's camper. I do believe I got the better end of that deal!

I had forgotten all about Stella's emergency. She was such a trooper! Before you knew it she was off playing with the other kids. Jessica has some pictures from her IPod that she and the other kids took. I can share them on here if the parents are ok with it. Just let me know.

This was the view Jessica and I had Friday morning. If you notice there are campers in Judy and Dave's spots. I was watching carefully to see if I would need to go over sen d Jessica over to make sure they high tailed it out of there before Judy and/or Dave arrived. They were still in Judy's spot when she arrived, but luckily I caught her arriving and told her just to pull into my site until they left. It was not too much longer after she did that they pulled out. I didn't witness them, but it is possible she gave them the Crazy Eyes and that is why they left so quickly. The ones i

Should have clarified Jessica's are red bug bites. Not sure about Izzy's but thought I would let you know in case you want to get her checked out.

They are red bug bites. Heading over to the pharmacy now to get her prescription filled.

Wondering if any if the other fiend kids there came home with bug bites or possibly poison ivy? Jessica has a bunch on her arms legs and stomach. Taking her to the doctor here soon.

I was very disappointed when I woke up this morning and realized that not only would I have to make my own breakfast, but it was not going to include bacon, sausage, eggs, biscuits or gravy. Oh on the subject of nothing to do. I have to disagree here. What I found was there was plenty of opportunities to do things. Jessica and I noticed things like tennis courts, volleyball, boating, fishing, hiking trails, open fields to play ball, places to ride bikes and of course a playground. The beauty of Defeated Creek is you don't feel the need to rush off and do all these things, but they are there i

Yes DD11(aka Jessica or Jrod) and I arrived late afternoon early evening Thursday. The drive up took a bit longer as we hit a thunderstorm and had to slow down a bit. I figured arriving safely was more important than how quickly we could get there.

Good luck to everyone applying! -
You all are the best! We have decided against bringing it. Steve says it is stressing him out. Besides the axle work, we also need to replace the tires. He said he noticed that there appears to be some dry rotting. Never mind that I told him months ago that we needed new tires. Did he listen to me? Of course not. OK need to let it go.

OK now I am confused as to which type we have. I know for sure it is not the quick squirt some in go on your way. Bob says looking at the picture I posted above that it is the more time consuming one. Grumpy and Grandma say it may be the kind we have to do nothing too. Is it possible to tell which kind based on the picture?

The farthest we have ever towed it was to Gatlinburg. We made two trips there. Most of our trips have been within an hour of home. The first year we got it we were gone almost every weekend in the summer. As the kids got older and their activities increased we have barely had it out all. I can safely say we have traveled no where near 100,000 miles.

Ok. He had a feeling that was the case for this one. He has tried to pry the cap off and it won't budge. Any advice on how to do this? Also since we have never greased the axles yet and we bought the trailer new in 2007 (an 06 Model) is it safe for us to bring it to Defeated Creek or do I need to look into tenting it there?

Desperately need some help. As I mentioned DH said we needed to grease the axles before we took the travel trailer out. Having never done this before he didn't know where to start. He was mistakenly told that we had the easy type to grease. Nope. Not the case. A friend of mine's husband met him at the storage lot where we store the camper hoping to help out. Well since it was not the easy simple method he wasn't sure what to do. They were able to get to this point, but from there we have no idea. Steve says apparently there are three options: 1 of course was the simple method that thi
