Thoughts on the Sandestin area?

I checked both and the cabins as well as the rv sites are full.

I am looking into booking a short beach trip for the end of this month. We would not be taking our camper. Looking somewhere between Pensacola and Panama City. Here are some things so you can help us choose the area: It will definetly be me, DH, DD14, DD13 and hopefully DS 19 and a friend of his. We are not sit out on the beach all day folks. We have never been to a beach in this area. We would like to do as little driving as possible once we get there.

I will be there then too with my family. Hoping I get the chance to meet you to wish you Happy Birthday in person.

We also have been known to go trash can/curbside shopping. We have gotten a television and a FW approved fire pit.

I have Tusker House reserved for breakfast during our October trip. I can't wait! Your daughter looks to be very protective of her little brother. I am sure he bothers her at times, but you can see in her eyes she is a caring big sister. Oh and I have been enjoying her blog. I still need to share it with my girls.

Congratulations to DD1 on her new job. Sorry you had to deal with inconsiderate folks at the DHS Fireworks show. Steve would hoist the kids up on his shoulders when they were small, but only if there was no one behind him. Putting a kid up on your shoulders when someone is standing behind you is as rude as standing directly in front of someone in a wheelchair. Why can't people just take a few extra seconds to observe their surroundings before making bonehead moves?

The advantage of living so close is that you could snag a room only reservation that was canceled at the 5 day mark. For those of us farther away that it not generally possible to logistically do. Though it has been done. Right Carol?
