  1. So is the plan to just stay there for the evening and then get back on the road tomorrow? Where is your destination goal for next week?
  2. If you remember towards the beginning of this trip I told you we were not morning people. In fact morning for us begins somewhere around 9:00am. All three of my children never went through that stage of waking up at 6:00am to start their day. Truthfully the only reason my son wakes up early is for school and if he has football or basketball practice. This morning though I changed that…well for me at least. I woke up before we docked at the Tampa Port. Quickly got my shower got dressed and headed out to capture as much as I could. We will be back here a bit later this morning
  3. Let's see: No Never have been able to do a cartwheel, but I am sure Jessica would have loved to do that. I better not let her know you suggested it. :rofl2: I wouldn't want to scare anyone away. :panic: Hey wait ....do I need to go back and read up on some of your other TR's I don't remember you mentioning doing this in any recent ones? If only I could have convinced Steve of that. I kept hoping he would have me drive as we got closer to where you exit to go to Disney. Then as he usually falls asleep I could just "get lost" and end up at the Fort. Well that is what they advertise. Right?
  4. One more thing to help me convince the family that our next cruise should be a Disney one. Well really convince the guys as the girls are already on board with the idea. Thank You! Truthfully he is a well behaved teenager and knowing some of the things we could be dealing with at his age we are quite blessed. I am hoping to get to what TCD motivated me to do today. I wish we had met some friends. But sadly none of us are that outgoing. Well the girls met some at the adventure club and Rachel keeps in touch with one of them using her text free ap on her Ipod. She also got the address of
  5. They did have some in fact we bought one. Our tour guide was sure to point out that it was all just a money making scheme though. I think Steve and I liked the tour more than the kids did. Drew probably liked it the best out of all three of them. This did make us realize that for our trip to Italy which we are hoping will be next summer we will leave the girls behind with relatives. It would cost waaay to much to take them to have to hear, "I'm booooooored." most of the time. That nap or rather early bed time really was a blessing. The next day I felt great. Steve was just talking about
  6. Tonight was our last night to eat in the dining room and the girls had been begging to do the “My Family Time Dining” so, I signed them up when I dropped them off earlier. What this would mean is that the girls food orders would be taken quickly and the food brought to them so that they could be at the front of the dining room by 6:40pm. We had to let our waiter know we were going to do this. So we did. The girls decided to just order off the kids menu that night. It was mac and cheese for one and cheese pizza for the other. I tried to get them to go ahead and tell our waiter what they wan
  7. I found it! How I wish there was some sort of cash prize to go along with this. :rofl3:
  8. Have they not learned Commandment #11? Thou must always make sure the KFK Fourth at the Fort and Beyond TR never ends.
  9. Glad to know that one of your other relatives spilled the beans and Yuri was able to track you down. He took some really cool photos. I was sitting here reading this and thinking there are so many books out there that help you plan your days at the park, but none of them go into the small details like you find on your trips. They all seem to be about getting to the rides or shows. I like the way you approach your trips. I realize that since you live close by and get to visit often this is probably easier for you than someone who lives farther away, but I think whenever we go back I am goi
  10. Sorry I haven’t been in here to update this. Our wifi is acting up :puter: and for some reason disconnects whenever any of us go on the computer. Most of my FF time has been via my Kindle or our I Pad lately. But, I decided that tonight the rest of the family is just going to have to suffer with no wifi and I will get an update done. So, after my restful night’s sleep I woke up around 9:00am. Today was our last full day. We had already had dinner in the dining room each night, had eaten breakfast and lunch in the Windjammer, but had not had breakfast or lunch in the dining room. I wante
  11. Anyone from Illinois who wants to vote again? :rofl2:
  12. As this is the week that last year's deadly tornadoes tore through here, I am wondering if that is the reason the weathermen were being overly cautious about the storms. Oh and Stef I agree with you about the Weather Channel and MTV. I mean it's not like there are not hundreds of other channels where they could show these weather related shows and non music video shows. TCD, Looking forward to finding out who you ran into. Meanwhile, I guess I should supply the popcorn for everyone since I keep mooching off of everyone else. This should be enough for all of us.
  13. Ok I had my girls vote too. The votes from our house were 2 for #1 and 1 for #3.
  14. Yeah another TCD trip report :jumpforjoy Doodle, May I have some popcorn please?
  15. Glad you have arrived safely in Memphis and have found a safe campground for this part of your journey. How long do you typically stay at a location?
  16. Praying for Nancy's father. Having lived about 30 minutes from DC and going on numerous school field trips as well as family day trips when relatives came to visit, I will say we never fully appreciated all there was to see and do until we moved away.
  17. We made it back to the ship around 3:00pm. Steve went to return the pool towel. Jessica and I decided to go down to the helipad for the sail away. Drew and Rachel did not want to do that so, they just stayed in the room. Looking over to the port area from the helipad. Pictures of the island and the beautiful blue water. The two lowest windows that you see on the right side are the two windows in our room. We actually saw a few dolphins, but I didn’t have the camera turned on to capture a picture. Of course once I did turn the camera on, we did not see anymore. Guess what we made it t
  18. Every time I see a picture on this report I think oh it can't get any better than this. But then you post another one and I see all those smiling faces and sure enough it can. Those little ones are so darn cute they almost have me wishing I had another one. Almost.
  19. It was now Thursday morning March 29th. We had an excursion to the Chacchoben Mayan Ruins planned for the day. Initially we had signed up to take one of the tours offered with the cruise ship. It was going to include a tour of the ruins and then time at the beach including lunch and drinks. We decided we really did not want to do that and instead booked a tour to the ruins with a company called Native Choice. Our tour guide was Ivan. He said that Americans pronounce it (eye van), but really it is (ee von). He said most people associate (ee von) as a girl name though. Probably should ha
  20. I keep looking at these and saying, "Oh my goodness!" I think I may have found a way to get DH and DS back to Florida for a visit.
