  1. Loving this. Thank you for taking the time to share the pictures of the sites, the campground, the Fiends and most especially for the "Anna" post. Looking forward to more.
  2. Of course it's practical....it's a mother's hideout. I need to go get one of these.
  3. I also wish to thank all those who have served and are currently serving our country.
  4. I am glad to hear that you decided to conquer your fears and try the different mountains at MK. Space Mountain is my favorite. My first time on Space Mountain I rode with my sister, my brother, my aunt and my grandparents. I can still remember hearing my sister screaming "ohhhh Shiiiiiit" behind me. When Steve and I took our kids my youngest was in the front laughing and screaming excitedly. My son was the last one in the car and all I could hear from him was, "ow, oh, ow, oh this ride is so not made for guys" I was laughing so hard by the time the ride ended I had tears falling down my f
  5. That right there is what being a Fort Fiend is all about! :heartsmiley:
  6. Yeah another TCD trip report. Now how on earth am I going to keep myself disciplined enough to finish up my girls' school year? Must focus on school...Must focus on school...if I keep telling myself that it should work right? Oh who am I kidding. Oh and we haven't seen the Avengers movie yet either. My son really wants to see it, but we have told him he has to wait until he finishes all his exams this week. Yeah were mean like that, but it helps keep him focused.
  7. I have been reading along, but for some unknown reason never commented yet. Of all the pictures you have posted my favorite ones are those of everyone laughing, smiling and just overall enjoying the time together on Easter.
  8. I am waiting to find out what my son's school does. Since it is not a public school they technically do not have to follow the new law for start and end dates. They typically though try to keep the calendars with in a couple of days of what the city is using. His school is in Huntsville City limits so they for the most part go by that calendar. Now that he is in high school and plays football and basketball the fall break, Thanksgiving Break and Christmas break have become almost non existent as they are taken up with games and tournaments. Even if they don't have to return until August 2
  9. So your not waiting for the whole school calendar issue to get worked out? It is making so many of my friends do this :banghead:
  10. Hey how come Lou reads your trip report? I am thinking it has something to do with apple pie. I love Fort McHenry. My eyes always leak at the end of the movie shown there. Want to know the saddest thing? I lived in the Baltimore area (Columbia and Odenton) for 18 years and it was not until after we moved to Alabama that I actually went to visit the Fort. Now when I go back to visit I try to get there as much as possible.
  11. Every time we drive back home to Maryland I always have intentions of taking the Skyline Drive route. But then we get going and everyone just wants to get there so, we just stay on the Interstate. Looking forward to reading all about the adventures that the rest of the gang had today while you enjoyed some much needed rest time.
  12. Wave to my family when you are in Baltimore. Hey if you need some ideas of places to see the sites I hear you should ask Pam. :rofl3:
  13. It really was. Of all the things I did on the cruise I am really glad I took the time to do this. I only wish I had done it more often.
  14. I really need to start clipping coupons again. My mom will constantly tell me about the deals she gets where she will end up with discounts on purchasing gasoline. Alabama does not allow discounts for gasoline. :argh:
  15. I loved reading about your trip. I think one of the reasons I loved it so much was that it reminded me of my second trip to Disney World. It was my grandparents, my dad, my sister, my brother and me, 2 aunts, 2 uncles and 5 cousins. We stayed in the cabins. I can still to this day remember going to the parks with my cousins and enjoying the activities at the fort.
  16. I love the before and after pics too! I bet Evan loved being able to go to MK with the older cousins.
