Effective 3 Nov, the Disney Photopass archive disk will no longer be offered. To receive all of your memories, Memory Maker is the only option. If you decide after your vacation that you want to purchase all of your memories, there is now an option to purchase memory maker after your vacation is over. Its the same price, $199.

I actually learned that in flight school when I was going for private pilots license.

Its very simple Lou, NOTAM = Notice to Airmen. The numbers can be deciphered as well. The first number is the year it was issued. The last digits are the sequence. So 9/4985 is the 4985th NOTAM issued in 2009. This particular NOTAM is an FDC NOTAM. It is issued by the flight data center and is a change to what would normally be standard procedures.

What is your perception vs reality of being a CM
devores replied to Lou...'s topic in WDW and Disney Park Discussions
The CM are empowered to do what it takes within their power to assist a guest or make a magical moment when they see fit, Guest recovery comes first. If a guest comes out of the Mickey room and the photos they had taken were dark. It is up to the CM to assist up to their ability. Front line cast can not promise a guest more than $10 without getting a coordinator involved. But it doesnt have to be monetary. They can speak to the Mickey attendants and get them right back in to have more photos taken. They can issue a no strings voucher that can be used several different ways, Priority access to -
They were F5s also known as T38s. T38 is the trainer version and F5s are used in interceptor training. They are a version of the Mig so they use them in air to air combat training against the F16 and F15. As for the No Fly, http://tfr.faa.gov/save_pages/detail_4_3634.html The previous TFR (NOTAM 9/4985) was a temp and had to be renewed every 90 days to remain valid. This new one is permanent and wording was added to include unmanned aerial vehicles as well. It extends 3 nm around WDW property and up to 3000 ft agl. Its nothing to get excited about. The old waiver (NOTAM 9/4985) was issue

Ok, story from last night. One of my photographers was standing on the TST porch watching the parade. One of the perks of the job, get paid to watch the parade. But anyway, he saw a woman sitting on the bench and watched her throw a bag of candy in the trash. She had a defeated look on her face. The photographer walked over and asked her if everything was alright. She explained to him that she had just had surgery and could not have the sweets that were offered in the treat trails at the party. Now, the photographer could have simply said, oh Im so sorry. And walked away, instead, he ran a -
NO FIEND WOULD EVER DO THIS
devores replied to Travisma's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
I for one find this appalling. Does it happen? Yes.....Is it OK? Not at all. You are knowingly "stealing" from a company. Its like saying Marvel made 1.3 million on a movie, so its OK to record the show on your smart phone and sell it on the net. Or one step further, Sears made $106million dollars, its OK to walk out with that pair of socks. Stealing is stealing. Point your moral compass where you may, but its wrong no matter how you justify it. And for a news source to openly condone this practice? Even worse. I can see a lawsuit from Disney in the future for them. -
Hot Balls of Fire at Trails End

EVERYONE needs to order this supersecret dish and tell them Deb sent us there. See how popular she is after 1000 fiends start ordering special dishes. And demand it. If Deb can get it, why cant we...... Did I ever mention I hate bloggers. -
Thats what I was thinking. They did the same thing with TSM. Opened up additional FPs for the test, but got rid of standby. Just be prepared if youre planning on standby for this attraction.
-
What you are missing out on is making FP reservations for those with multiday tickets. If you only have a 1 day linked, you can only hold 1 days worth of FPs until you add the other days of tickets. And remember, if someone has their own MDX account, link them, do not add them to your account. This will eliminate the doubles like what you have now.
-
If the MDX accounts are linked, you can manage all of the FPs for the entire party. The CM made a simple solution more difficult then it needed to be.
-
At the Fort? All on one campsite? If thats the case, just make one reservation, with an arrival date of the first person and a departure of the last and add everyone for the whole stay. The first person to arrive would check everyone in and the others just arrive. You dont pay more for the extra people on the site. In mydisneyexperience, you just connect them under that reservation and they manage their own tickets, FPs, dinning, etc.

What is your perception vs reality of being a CM
devores replied to Lou...'s topic in WDW and Disney Park Discussions
The work area dictates the type of CM you will encounter, most of the time. Most "Old Timers" who are just punching the clock go to resorts. They dont have to deal with many guest and they are off at a decent hour of the night. They can get by with doing the bare minimum. Animal Kingdom also has allot of old timers but they arent as bitter. They get the guest interaction, but still get off at a decent hour. Theyve been around a while and it shows sometimes in the way they treat guest and act at work. They are the ones who know all the rules and use them to their benefit. The MK has the you -

Being in my role, creating magic can come in many forms. Just thinking up a special pose for some newleyweds or a special picture of billy who never smiles. But I consider those, the job. I, as a coordinator, I can take it a step further. I love proposals. They start innocently. A gentleman wants a photographer to capture his engagement when he surprises his fiancée in front of the castle. I show up with a photographer and a bag. In the bag are bride and groom ear hats, some buttons that say just engaged with the date on them, a special cupcake they can share while watching the fireworks from -

A Shining New Era is Tiptoeing Nearer for the TCD Gang
devores replied to Tri-Circle-D's topic in Trip Reports
The dragon does not breath fire in the area you were sitting. She stops breathing around the tree and does not breath again until clearing the bridge. Too many buildings and trees too close to the parade route to risk it. So if you want to see the fire, do not sit in this area. -
Big changes coming to Photopass. Some features previously only available to Memory Maker guests are now available to all guests. Beginning Oct. 28, all Guests wearing active MagicBands will have their attraction photos automatically associated to their accounts. • All unexpired photos will be visible beginning Oct. 28, so attraction photos taken within the previous 45 days will be included. All Guests will be able to associate attraction photos with any RF-‐enabled media (e.g., park ticket, Memory Maker card) via new photo touch points at the photo preview walls. Cell Towers Installed at the Fort
devores replied to Tri-Circle-D's topic in Disney and Fort Construction
Umm. There is not a seperate network for these devices. We utilize the same network guests do to perform our jobs. The only exception is our devices have priority over a guest device. And the function of the device determins the priority it gets. When the park is packed, our uploads of the photos we take slow down due to increased network traffic. So improving the guest wifi will improve our wifi. -

There are 8 photographers per day and we all rotate around for days off and vacations. Needless to say, it's pretty much all we do. I worked yesterday but not until 4. -

I can't divulge the specifics because the technology used is proprietary to Disney and is one of a kind. But it is very cool and am honored to be a part of this cutting edge endeavor. -

I'm an opening team photographer and I didn't even get a freebie. Something to note, no refunds as it is a personalized product. That's also why there aren't any discounts. But yes, I am one of the spirit photographers who take these photos. One of only 15 trained. It's a fun unique job and I love working there.
