  1. Everyone has the option, but it will stop you with out valid park admission. If you purchase tickets and link them to your MDE account, you should be able to make FP+ selections, providing you are a tester. If you are not coded as a tester, you wont be able to use any of the mymagic+ options like FP+.
  2. This young lady in the Giselle costume from the movie Enchanted was gorgeous. Good job to her. I have no idea who her friend with the red yarn hair is supposed to be: That's raggedy ann maybe? But the colors are backwards. Its supposed to be a blue dress with white apron.
  3. Page 1. I heard how bad it was and am glad I worked the MNSSHP that night. We had a photographer who couldn't get to work because of traffic. He waited 2 hours in line to get to the parking lot only to be told they aren't letting anyone in. Not even working cast. That's crazy. So crazy I had to say it twice I guess.....

  5. I lived in Korea for a year and that is all you would smell in the shopping districts. There was other food that was amazing, and I'm sure it smelled good. but all you could smell was that kimchee. The smell would permeate from the Koreans while they worked too. You never wanted to work too closely with them on a hot day........ Incidentally, I hate cabbage kimchee, but love cucumber kimchee.
  6. Youre going to smell pleasant after a shift in there......stay downwind please.
  7. Right. I could have been a little clearer. The ones you buy in the stores are for antenna use only. The cable ones are specific to the cable companies, just as the cable modem for the internet is specific to the fort internet.
  8. This time of year, I would say your site should be ready. It is dead here right now with lots of open sites. So chances of you not getting in that early are slim. Now during busy times, your chances decrease drastically. So you would be taking a chance at the overflow. Before we moved here, we would arrive around 1 and our site was only not ready once out of 50 or so trips. And it became ready by the time we got to the overflow. We didn't even get out of the truck.
  9. FYI If your RV does not have a digital TV in it, you can goto any big box store and buy a digital cable converter for $20. The box will come in handy anywhere as most OTA stations now broadcast digital. So using your antenna with the box will get you more stations as well. There was a program a few years ago where you could get a coupon for $20 off the boxes. It was government run program and was instilled to offset the cost of the boxes since the government mandated digital broadcasting. That is how I got mine. I don't use it anymore as all new TVs are digital ready.
  10. Don't enter a credit card number when you do online check in. Unless they changed it, you do not have to enter one to complete online check in. But if you do enter one, it is used to pay your balance, and for charging privileges if you select that. You can also skip online check in for the fort. I have found it does nothing to speed up your check in process. And I have checked in about 16 times over the last 12 months. Never did online check in. You are also not charged your balance until the end of your stay, so if you want to change the method of payment, you can do that at anytime during
  11. Good luck all. From what I understand, there are something like 6 stages to go through. A couple involve an interview and writing an essay. You have to progressively make it to the next and even then, you are not guaranteed a spot on the panel. I find the "moms" panel fun to read. some of the info they give is downright funny. One recent question was regarding the Glow with the Show ears. The questions was will they do anything in WDW. The answer? They are exclusive to Dinseyland and California Adventures. We can only hope they introduce them in WDW in the future. This was on the 9th o
  12. I do too. My automatic jacks on my fiver has a remote to fine tune them once set up, the battery in the remote is some obscure battery that can only be ordered through the company that made the remote. It wasn't too expensive, but when the battery died I did not have a spare so I had to wait for the new one to come in.
  13. AAA if I remember correctly. They are common batteries that you would have already laying around in a junk drawer.
  14. Well they were a novelty here at WDW when we had them signed. Everyone thought they were cool and asked tons of questions.
  15. When was the article written. We cannot scan to the bands yet. The system is not set up for it yet. They are running some tests, but have not given the green light yet.
  16. They are heavy. But there is some extra padding on the inside to try to make em more comfy. The batteries do die, and they are kinda a pain in the arse to change. But nothing to discourage buying them. One note, if they have not fixed the issue yet, the strap is not very sturdy. Ours broke on the first set we bought. They did replace them with no problem. We had ours signed by the big cheese himself and his, girlfriend/fiancé/wife?.....
  17. An interesting video showcasing some of the features of the glow ears........ http://youtu.be/QbZq43KzOrU
  18. As of last time I worked, you still cannot use the Magic Bands as photopass cards. Its coming soon, but still not activated. The new site is the biggest change, as well as the photo expiration as mentioned above. 45 days from date taken. You can log in to the photopass site from your mydisneyexperience account. There is a one time extension available for purchase, but can only be done once. Previous extensions could be used over and over. The photo view is different on the new site and is laid out chronologically by when the photo was taken. You can still edit photos before ordering
  19. At Disneyland it added to the show. It extends it out into the streets and makes the whole area light up. Of course, it depends on how many folks have them. If there's only a few it doesn't add much. But if there are hundreds, it's spectacular.
  20. Another perk is you can pay for your AP with monthly payments. So you pay the cost throughput the year rather than all at once. And its a discounted rate.
  21. I wish I could go. Im working the Halloween party that night and don't get off until 0030. I cant give the shift away either as its a specialty trained shift and there are only a few people trained to do it. So Im stuck working it. If I call in sick and then enter the park, its an automatic termination too.
  22. http://youtu.be/x8BKiigBsa8 The Thunder in Paradise pilot movie was filmed in and around the historic Don CeSar Hotel in St. Petersburg, Florida during April 1993. When the series was picked up for a full season, the production company then moved to Disney-MGM Studios near Orlando, where the primary filming location became the Grand Floridian Resort at the Walt Disney World Resort. Other filming locations at Walt Disney World included Disney's Old Key West Resort, Fort Wilderness Campground, and EPCOT, used heavily due to the wide variety of futuristic and architectural styles available
  23. I love the Air Force Museum. Ive been there several times. But Im an aviation buff. I always visit any air museum in the areas I go. A little info on the museum: Museum Operations The U.S. Air Force operates the museum complex through government appropriated funds. The commander of the Air Force Materiel Command at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base maintains operational oversight of the museum, with the History Office of the Secretary of the Air Force in Washington, D.C., providing policy guidance. Retired Air Force Lt. Gen. John L. Hudson serves as director, and Mr. Terry Aitken as senior
  24. It was a military move. I had just got back from Korea and was moving here. My port of call was Seattle. It was myself and my black lab. I was in a hurry because my family, who I hadn't seen in a year, was already in Florida.
