May I make a suggestion. Since I've been through this very thing. Make the plans after you find out the details. The desert party would be great if he arrives around that time. But if he comes in at 7 am, that would be torture for him. Nothing worse then being away for 6 months then being that close and still can't see your kids or wife. Take his thoughts and feelings into account.

Slide won't, err, slide!
devores replied to Santa ... Shannon's topic in RV Repairs on the Road, at FW and Elsewhere
Allot of times, there's a fuse inline to things like this. The fuse isn't always in an obvious place, so look around. The fuse might have blown preventing the power from reaching the motor. You said you tested the power at the switch, how about from the switch to the motor. Use your volt meter at the motor side and have someone operate the switch. Then work your way back to the switch at every wire junction until you find the bad connection/blown fuse. Edited to add: I had a slide problem recently where one slide would not move. Same thing as you, hit the switch and nothing. No sounds, m -

If you are meaning Photopass +, you do not have to link the PP+ to your MB. You can use your MB as a PP card during your trip. The special red PP+ card is nothing more than a fancy PP card. You can use any PP card during you visit. The most important part of the PP+ package is the code that is inside the package. Once you vacation is over, just follow the directions and use the code inside and you will get your CD with all of the photos in your account, regardless of what you used to get them there. There is one caveat to this though, to get your ride photos and dining photos, you have to -
Special SOTMK Card for MNSSHP
devores replied to BradyBzLyn...Mo's topic in WDW and Disney Park Discussions
Just bumping this up there. Anyone need one of the Halloween cards mentioned above? And if anyone is going to the MVMCPs, I would like a card if you can get extras. I probably wont make it to a party this year.- 4 replies

Make sure your reservation is linked in your MDE account. Otherwise you wont have the option to customize MBs. If you don't link your stuff prior to arrival, you will receive the generic grey MBs when you check in. They then will give you instructions on how to link everything so you can take advantage of the MyMagic+ benefits. -

They show active, just as all your old KTTW cards show active. But they should not work just like your old KTTW cards will not work. -

That's interesting. The prior one should have been "turned off". Maybe it slipped through because of your continuing reservations. -
Your testing because you have a reservation at a Disney resort being tested during a timeframe they are testing. Everyone is testing right now. And the invitations seem to be running late. You can go to MDE and see if youre selected to be a tester at anytime. If you can customize MBs, you are a tester. The e-mails and letters come later but are for the same reservation you got the MBs for.

Magic Bands at the Fort
devores replied to Memphis's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
Our MBs worked at all touch points in the Fort. From what I gathered, the MBs have to be encoded at the desk in order for them to work at the Fort touch points. This is different than other resorts and something they did not know about prior to testing. This is why some work and some don't. They are designed to be ready to use. Meaning, when you get them in the mail, in theory, you could skip check in and go straight to your room if you know what it is, and the MB would work. For some reason, since the Fort is unique, the MBs have to be encoded at the Fort to work. A stop by the front desk and -
You should have them for then. Unless something goes terribly wrong and the whole system crashes.

They hope to go live later this month. But as more testers are added, more bugs pop up. But that's what tests are for.

You would have to visit the front desk. Once the reservation starts you have to go to the front desk to make any changes. They can then add them and link the bands and everything.

If they have MBs, that means they already have a reservation. Unless they purchased them themselves, in which case they cannot be used to enter resorts. If the MBs are part of a reservation, then they should allow access through the gate like the KTTW cards do. If they do not have a reservation, and you want to add them to yours, then they will need to visit the front desk and get added to your reservation at which point they will issue them bands.

They are a permanent part of the FP+ program. WHEN MyMagic+ goes live, they will be a selection you can make. Lets not forget that the whole program is in testing right now and some parts may not need testing at this time, so they are not part of the test.

Magic Bands at the Fort

Our bands work on everything and have for about a week. Not sure why they told you that, but I have tried it with success. It works on everything the KTTW cards did. -
And as a gee whiz, I have bands now and they work on everything (gates, CS, laundry, etc). No problems for us.

Yes and No. What you do is link your accounts. This would add everyone to the others accounts and then you assign a "leader". The leader is the one who will control the reservation and make all the changes and such. You can give as much or as little control to the others on the reservation. So say you want Lorna to be able to make changes to the reservation if she remembers to, but you don't trust Mo enough to make the changes. You can assign Lorna modification privileges but only give Mo viewing privileges. By linking the accounts, you do not add them to yours, they maintain their own accou

Last-MInute Questions about MBs
devores replied to CCIntrigue...aka Gwen's topic in WDW and Disney Park Discussions
Yes. But the people must be linked or added to your account. If only you are listed on the MDE, then they will all be under you. If you have others on your MDE, it will ask you to assign the ticket to specific person. If you have MBs for everyone then they should be listed on your account. You can change the owner of the ticket up until its first use. Be sure to remember which is which in case you need to use the actual ticket and make sure to assign the adult tickets to adults and kids to kids. -

When you link the ticket it will ask who the ticket belongs to. -

Epcot to test further restrictions on Fastpass+ usage

For now. But expect that to change soon too. Once MyMagic+ goes live and is past testing, legacy FPs will be a thing of the past. -

New process starting in a few days, no more KTTW cards for MB testers. All you will have is the MBs.
