Thanks for posting pictures of the parade! One of these days we are going to actually be there to see it in person.

We were so surprised to see them doing the sword thing too! We were hoping they would choose our grandson to pull it out, but like you, my son-in-law decided to look for something to eat and when he walked away, we all followed. Many years ago, our youngest DD was chosen to pull the sword out and somewhere in this house is the certificate and medallion that they gave her.

It was great meeting you! You'll be happy to know that there is now a spare GC key attached to the MH keychain. Hopefully that will never happen again! Great trip report so far! I'm starting a list of all the foods that I need to try on my next trip after reading your report. Yum!!!

I just now had a chance to read your trip report and almost had a stroke when I read about the whirlybirds!! I would have had a full-fledged panic attack if I had been you!!! Thank goodness Lil H did such a good job taking care of Gabe. He's such a great big brother!!!

I should have taken pictures when we were there two weeks ago. My daughter had the French onion soup and loved it. I had the pork tenderloin (I think that's what it was called) and it was a amazing!!!

Like everyone else said, the comfort stations are very nice. I usually use the shower in the RV, but DH uses the comfort station. When we were there last week, he did have to wait a little while for a shower one morning. Other than that, it wasn't bad.

Those decorations for the Magicbands are down right UGLY!!!! I definitely don't want to wear something that looks like that on my wrist!

Ugh! You figured it out. I guess when DH flushed the toilet, it gave away our little secret!Actually our trip was just supposed to be the two of us and our grandson...but then my daughter and her husband decided to join us. That totally changed our plans for the trip. We almost missed TJ, but luckily he waited a little bit for us to arrive. We were also lucky enough to see Lorna, Carol, and Richie! It was a great trip, but way too short! Sorry we missed you, Lou!

How did we miss everyone? We were there the 12th - 16th and looped everyday. I only remember seeing one FF sign, and I don't think it was either of yours. I wish we had gotten a chance to meet you!

I guess I should have read all the other responses before posting. Sorry! :) It will let me order the regular one now.

I just went back and checked the website again, it says that the Photopass+ has to be ordered 14 days in advance. It looks like the regular one just has to be ordered "before your vacation". I'm going to see if it will let me order it even though we arrive today.

Trust me, I know them very well. We always seem to run into them when we are at HS. They're hard to miss!

LOL! Believe it or not, we actually packed two sets of earplugs...the spongey kind and a set like you would wear in a shooting range. My grandson got tubes in his ears (for the second time) about a month and a half ago and he is really sensitive to sounds now. We brought them along for the fireworks!

I love the PhotoPass because we can get pictures of everyone in the family. I'm the family photographer so normally I'm not in any of the pictures. Last October we got the Photopass+ because we had almost the entire family with us and I knew there would be lots of ride photos taken. It was nice to have, but I doubt we will ever do it again. One thing to keep in mind is that the PhotoPass is cheaper if you pre-order, however you have to do it at least 2 weeks before you arrive.
