Great trip report, Kelly. We sailed on the Freedom back when it first came out, and then on her sister ship, the Liberty two years later. Great ships! I don't normally have the time to read trip reports, but I decided to read yours because Dylan keeps saying he wants to go on "the Disney boat". After pricing it out, I don't think it's going to happen. If we took both daughters and their families next Spring break, Disney was going to cost us over $15,000 (6 adults and one child total). Exactly, Dave! Not only that, but I think the January marathon sold out very quickly, so even if a runner just happens to want to do the 5k while on the cruise, they can't add the marathon if they wanted to.

So do you have to run a race during marathon weekend in January? Or do you qualify if you do any race before the Castaway Cay 5k? Not that I can go on a cruise in January, but I'm just wondering.

Also, be careful when you go through the gate where the guard is. It is a very tight squeeze in a motorhome. We did a good bit of damage to ours a few years ago at the FF GG.

I did the Enchanted 10k back in February and LOVED it! I had never done a 10k before and had no trouble completing it...mainly because there are so many people that you really end up walk/running it. Plus you will want to stop to have your picture taken with all the characters you see along the way. I won't tell you how long it took me to complete the 10k because it was embarrassingly slow due to all the stops we made for photo ops, but we had a blast! We are planning on doing it again in 2015!

I'll have to check and see when I get out of work for the summer, but those dates might work for me. The only problem I see would be that it is the weekend after the Memorial Day GG. I'm not sure if that would have any effect on people being able to come or not.

Charlotte might work for me, but that weekend won't. We'll be at Topsail through the 21st.

Kelly, you will love the Freedom. We sailed on her when she first set sail, and then a few years later sailed in her sister ship, the Liberty! Great ships with so much to do on board. And I know people won't believe this, but we had better service on RCCL than we did on the Wonder. It was probably just a fluke, but we didn't have a very good room steward on the Wonder...never saw him/her the entire time and it wasn't because he/she was so efficient.

I got a pleasant surprise today...an email from the Disney Photopass people! It appears they are giving me a free extension! And all my pictures are back! To say I was surprised is an understatement! Gotta love that Disney Magic!

Darn! That's not the news I was hoping for.

I always got reminders in the past, but this time I never got a single one. I even looked in my spam folder today when I noticed they were gone and there wasn't anything in there either. I emailed them today just in case there is a chance that they can retrieve all of them. Since I'm only a day late, I'm hoping they can.

We did the Backyard BBQ on our last trip, and it was fantastic! Especially if you have little ones. My 3 year old grandson LOVED it!
