Stef, I was in downtown Atlanta today and parked in a parking lot by the CNN Center. I kept looking up at the very tall Westin. How far from the top is the floor you were on? I don't mind heights, but I hate elevators...not sure I could have handled being all the way up there.

Very cool about the display in the lobby of the Westin. After the tornadoes, I would always check out the windows whenever i drove through Atlanta. I was so glad when I saw that they had replaced them. BTW- that's a bunch of BS about not being able to serve alcohol on a Sunday in Atlanta. There is a state law that you can't buy alcohol (packaged...like in a liquor store or grocery store), but they can definitely serve it. My daughter and son-in-law were served in downtown Atlanta on New Years Day. Kind of makes me wonder if there might have been an issue with their license...like they didn't

Your meet and greet with Zac sounds amazing! I'm not sure that I would be able to get any words out of my mouth if I met him. I've heard from others that he is very down to earth, and your report definitely makes him sound that way. BTW - about four years ago some tornadoes came through downtown Atlanta and blew out hundreds of windows at the Westin. The glass is some type of special glass and because of that they weren't able to get them all replaced until just recently. I wonder if some of the damage that you saw in the room was from the storms.

Okay, I'm going to admit to something...I never gave any thought to having insurance on the golf cart! Yes, I know that's really dumb of me. But after reading this thread, I called my insurance company. We have our house and cars insured with AAA. The golf cart insurance is a very reasonable price, only $75 per year. I explained to the agent what the cart is used for (camping at FW and other campgrounds) and after looking over our current policies, I was told that they would be adding it to our homeowner's policy. Great trip report! I didn't want it to end. It is now one of my top three favorite trip reports! Did he work at the plant in Cartersville? My husband used to work for the local Anheuser Busch distributor and I remember when the plant opened, they all got to go up and tour the place. He really enjoyed seeing it.

This is where we load and unload every time. Someone told us about it the very first time we brought our golf cart to the Fort. The road in the picture is for CMs only, but surprisingly they have never said anything to us. They usually drive by and wave!
