I just rescheduled a Pirate's League time for the two boys for next week and while on the phone, the CM told me about the Pirate Adventures for the kids (not the one where you eat and watch the fireworks from). I guess there are like 3 of them that leave from various places like the Grand Floridan and 2 others. She said they go on an adventure for buried treasure and are gone (away from mommy!) for 2 hours. I have an almost 4 year old and an 11 year old. The 11 year old would do fine but I'm not sure about the 4 year old and him leaving mommy with a bunch of strangers to be cast out on the "h

Chiropractic Care
campingmommy aka Kelli replied to liv luvs disney's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
I worked for one for several years and still go for adjustments every once in awhile. A good chiropractor will examine you and take xrays before beginning treatments. Bulging discs/ruptured discs are no-no with chiropractic care. I can tell you that I had bells palsy while pregnant at 8 months that it helped a lot! And I get bad headaches and that is the only thing that helps. -
SPRING MICKEY DOOR WREATH

Very Nice! -
Yep, you're right, best toy I ever bought! I'm hooked! Took me about a day to figure it all out but I'm an embroidery fool! I can go up to a 5x7 size and I already see myself outgrowing this machine! I've done 3 t's so far...the first one was a bust as I didn't put it high enough on the Tshirt but my 3 year old can wear it as a nightshirt! :) I'm been buying digital files off Etsy of Disney or Mickey stuff and I'm even making the dog a few t's! I'll post pics later this week when I'm done with all of them! Glad you are having so much fun. Do plan on ever digitizing your own designs

A Camping Pet Question
campingmommy aka Kelli replied to ~Kristina~'s topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
Oh and another thing....spring/summer I think is the best time to get a puppy! It's much easier to train them in warm weather than in cold (mainly because I'm the one who doesn't want to freeze my :moon: off! :grpwelcome:) -
A Camping Pet Question
campingmommy aka Kelli replied to ~Kristina~'s topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
We have always camped with a dog. Unfortunately our 13 year old Llasa Apso won't be making anymore camping trips, she's blind and has a hard time getting around. We recently got a yorkie puppy and boy is he high maintenance! He is crate trained and that's best for him and us! He's a chewer and would probably do more damage if left by himself than the lab would! Lol I'll admit...a puppy is a lot of work but he's becoming his own and fitting in with the family very well. Now if we can get the house training down, we will good! He's harder to potty train than my 3 year old was! And he will make -
Pet Safety in your automobile

This is the "carseat" our Yorkie rides in...(except in my profile pic...he decided to drive today! :argh:) http://www.amazon.com/Solvit-Tagalong-Booster-Standard-Medium/dp/B003F76Y6E/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1304116995&sr=8-1 You can attach his harness to it so he's safe and won't jump out! -
Anyone every stayed there? We just found this one online and thought it might be a good stop on our second day on our way to The Fort. (Plan on leaving and driving a few hours to Wytheville, VA then stop for the night then travel at least to the GA/FL line the second day and then arrive at FW early on the 3rd day so we don't waste a whole day of our ressies!). We've stayed at the country parks in Charleston, SC (which are wonderful BTW!) so just wondering how they compared.

Jen...I so hate to part with my Disney one, even though I haven't used it! LOL! I like looking at Mickey on the machine...makes you happy! Just don't want to invest anymore money in it to do what I want it to do. I went ahead and ordered the other Brother machine...should be here in the next couple of days. I'm determined to figure this thing out this weekend and get those shirts made! If not for the entire family, for the kids at least!

I saw the same thing happen last Memorial Day weekend...several people got on the bus after parking their car up front and rode it to the pool...coolers and other accessories in hand. I know darn well they weren't campers! would it be hard for them to put a swipe card thingy at the pool entrance so you'd get no admittance without it?

Yorkie puppy...
campingmommy aka Kelli replied to campingmommy aka Kelli's topic in Camping for Pets
Honestly...he thinks he's too silly to learn that! Lol Today he actually has done pretty good! No accidents yet! We were told they are hard to train and now I understand! -
The one I'm looking at is this one: http://www.amazon.com/Brother-SE400-Computerized-Embroidery-Machine/dp/B003AVMZA4/ref=tpi_image_17?ie=UTF8&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_p=467656451&pf_rd_s=center-3&pf_rd_r=19TDEKQPWFESKVZZ4VHW&pf_rd_i=13380691 It says it will only embroider a 4x4 design but if I use a bigger hoop, I can combine several designs together to get one larger design so I think it will work for what I want it to. I've got several designs that I bought from Etsy and I'm so excited to use them and figure out what I'm doing! :rofl2:

Thanks for all of the advice! After researching this stupid machine (which I should have done in the first place but being new to sewing and all, I just jumped in when I saw the Disney one)...I found it has lots of issues (thread breaks easily and it only likes certain kinds, automatic threader never works, etc) so I put it up on Ebay yesterday for sale. Once it sells, I'm looking at getting a new Brother embroidery machine and hooks to the computer via USB cord and works with Mac's. I'd have to invest another $200 into the Disney machine for an extra part in order to be able to download new d

Got mine from Ebay...works good, except with the automatic threader...it has it's moments! I have a husqvarna designer 1. It took a little bit to learn the diigitizing software but if I can do it anyone can. Let me know if I can help you out. I'm sure I'll have lots of questions...It scares me...I just sit and look at it. I wish it would just do what I want it to do without me having to do anything to it to figure it out! :rofl2:

For those camping this easter
campingmommy aka Kelli replied to devores's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
Awesome ideas! Of course, at this rate with our weather, we'll never get to camp! And when did they invent Chocolate mousse peeps...I've never saw those! Only chocolate covered individual ones! -
I bought a Disney SE-270D embroidery/sewing machine about 6 months ago. It's lovely to look at...cause that's about all I do with it! LOL! I know how to sew (a little) and figured I'd just jump in and get this and I'd self-teach myself! So, today, I got out the manual and decided I'd try to use some of my files that I bought from Etsy to make T's for our upcoming trip to Disney. Well...dumby me of course hasn't read the instructions until now and I guess I need a PED design-basic software add on thingy to embroider my designs. I've got 3 weeks to learn how to use this thing and mak
