I'm not worried about the bugs----its camping, lol---I just didn't know which campground others have stayed at----looking for genuine reviews--not wanna be cabin camper reviews lol

I have been searching for a campground that I would be willing to stay at for a few days (if we can't get ressies at ft. wilderness)....So far the two campgrounds that seem to have a good reputation is KOA Kissimmee & Tropical Palms Resort. Honestly the cost seems to be about the same. Tropical Palms seems to have a roach problem (but all of these were about the cabins not the campsites themselves) I was told not to hold my breath about getting into the Fort before New Years.....but thats where I'd really like to be? sigh

ok---did you by chance check out any campgrounds around legoland? Also-- Is this a park where you would need more than one day? I have 6 & 3 year old boys that LOVE legos---but the admission price is pricey---- I see a Quaker Oatmeal discount buy 1 adult get 1 child free...but thats still over $150 for one day--- Whats your thoughts? Greatly appreciated!!!

We are coming from Indiana....leaving December 27/28 'ish.....and because of our late-decision on a our "last-minute" vacay we aren't able to get ressies at the Fort till January 2.....So we are trying to figure out where to stay from the Dec 28-Jan 2.....My husbands grandparents are snow birds staying in Dade City, and my boys want to visit Legoland 1 maybe 2 days.....So what are some fun campgrounds around these locations(I know none compare to the FORT, but.....) that would be good for us to stay in? We currently have a pup....but are looking to upgrade within the month to a ClassA(older) o

Ok.....so why can't I get anything in January? I thought after New Years, the place clears out? What is the trick? I am just trying to price it and see if we want to wait till later 2013 (Fall) or do it early 2013 (January)......so what am I doing wrong? Roz or whoever else does Ressie's,....can you check into what it would cost Jan 3 (or 4th) - 12th? Thanks!!!

I always wondered why on earth will they not allow pictures during the COP? I mean really, its not like your gonna interrupt the robotic dog....right? lol

We did this same arrangement with my parents last june,...we were at the fort and they were at the WL,....they didn't bike, it was either boat or bus....bus seemed faster bc the boat was going to either MK, contemporary then the fort....its a nice ride just not a fast one....I would think the bus would still be faster than biking, BUT that depends on the wait time for the bus....either way its still a great arrangement!

Usually for us its 8-9 days, at the fort and all at the parks...we have to drive so far, so when were there we are all there.....in 2011 we bought ap's and were able to stay 2 weeks.....this year 2012, still don't know if we will be able to go,...BUT would love to come back for 2 weeks.....still trying to squeeze these $$$

we went this past June,...its way overpriced.....as others mentioned! The food was ,...ehhhh not amazing by any means, there was unlimited beer and wine....but it was HOT as heck! It was packed to the max, and to be honest, we camp, so usually insects don't bother us much,...but there were flys everywhere, all over the food, all over the melting icecream sandwhiches, it wasn't pretty. The only thing that was cute was the dancing with disney characters,....it was cute to watch all the kids come dance,....and the music wasn't half bad, as always the shows are usually pretty good. Don't go there

thanks for keeping this updated....its hard for me to stay around,...because of life...and the craving of the fort,...mainly the fort more so than the parks...but I'm trying to wait until they finish everything.....so this helps me see what's still left to be done, to curb the desire.... :) thanks again!!!!

I'm here....haven't been posting lately...crazy busy summer since we got back from Disney at the end of June YES YES YES I was in the 1700 for 2 weeks! I Am sooo glad that I helped bring some people here! I blanketed the golfcart parking with FF.net cards ALOT....so I am even more happy that ya'll came on over! BUT I'M HERE! Just not as active as I would like to be :)

I didn't get a "love" letter but, we were playing with sidewalk chaulk, and i had the vans 2 tires on the grass so the kiddos would have more room to draw,...and I got disney popo.....they pulled up, kindly asked me to park my car on the concrete like it was supposed to be....oh well i guess sidewalk chaulk drawings aren't important enough LOL :)
