  1. I'm tired after that section. I may have to call in sick tomorrow to recover. :faceplant2: Dan
  2. I love that tent. Best Friends is great we left Disney there for a day on our last trip. Dan
  3. I'm up to date again. woo. This is one long trip report. It's one long trip with a couple work breaks in between. Its not 2 separate trips. Dan
  4. This is a case of messing with something people love so much. Everyone here (I think) loves the Fort and being there. We just get worried and (carried away sometimes) when a dumb (in our opinion) decision is made that may affect the campground we love so much. Dan
  5. Congratulations. You are going to love camping in a motorhome. One thing I didn't mention before and this has happened to us. We were driving into a rain storm and the torrential rain was so hard it wasn't safe to drive. We pulled into a rest stop and sat at the dinette to have dinner. We read for a while. We never once had to go out of the motorhome. The rain slowed down and we started on our way again. Dan
  6. What happened? I hope everything is OK. I'm going there in June and was hoping this report would be done by then. :rofl2: Dan
  7. I started going to the Fort when I was 1 or 2 years old (Not sure if we went the first year it was open or not) and we went to RC a lot, so I'm sure I dipped, splashed, or what ever in Indian Springs. Great trip report, Dan
  8. For those that can't remember which way the trailer goes when you turn the wheel: Put your hand on the bottom of the wheel and move your hand in the direction you want the trailer to go. Dan
  9. Great report. I once read an article about a study that said people that spend money on experiences are happier than those that spend money on things to accumulate. I would say spending money on going to the Fort is an experience to be happy about. Dan
  10. I have to wait 8 months to see them. I'm happy I saw them, but now I'm sad I have to wait. ( Dan
  11. Ok, Now I'm caught up. I was young single digits, but am I remembering right when I remember a time when the Fort had dirt roads. I remember riding rented bikes on the dirt roads. It was in the 70's Dan
  12. I'm late, but I'm here. I love going down 81 from the North East. 84 out to 81 and 81 to 26 to 95. Am I missing one? The motorhome knows the way, I set the cruise and go play games with the rest of the family. They always seem so nervous when I do that though. Dan
  13. Depending on where you are coming from and how often you need the car it might be cheaper to rent. We are 1200 miles away so towing the car would cost at least 250 extra in gas I figure. It is way cheaper to rent even for 2 days. Dan Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk - now Free
  14. 1) not always a place to put them, and seems to me they are a lot harder to hookup. Also it reduces the weight of the car you can tow because it weighs more than a tow ebar. 2). Don't get me wrong I love the 450 chassis. I just want to make sure people realize they aren't as easy to drive as a van. 3) I had the rear springs built up. It helps a lot. I also had bulls eye leveling jacks put on as well. 4). The biggest thing with towing in a class c is the weight. The weight is restricted because anything over like 25' has an extended frame. My Jayco is fully boxed and done right, but I h
