  1. Wow, "Tim" & "wisdom" are not usually used together..........
  2. too early for the fax. The Fort doesn't even get your information from central reservations until about 4 - 5 days before arrival. They assign sites 2 - 3 days before, so fax a week before arrival at the most. Others may say different, but too early and there is a chance it gets lots and not seen.
  3. First, Welcome?? What type of site did you book? (Full, Premium or Preferred) That will narrow down your choices.
  4. Love to stop by, but we left the Fort a few weeks ago. Hope you get it figured out. There are a few guys over on the Tiffin boards who really know their stuff. Hope someone comes through.
  5. JamieN, Not to be accused of stealing your thread, but are you a member over at the Tiffin Forums (Tiffin Rv Network)? Except for their lack of knowledge of the Fort, a great group of folks and lots of information on Tiffin products. We have attended a couple of their rallys and they are great!!
  6. Another thing to consider is that the access to the canal dog walk is in the 1800 loop (several sites open up onto the canal walk area). If you don't want to deal with dogs or you have a dog that like to bark at others this may be a consideration. I'm among the minority who like the 1900 loop.
  7. Mo is right (as always). Get on his radar now. If you don't want to bother him on the holiday, fill out the rental form on his web site. This goes to his wife and I do believe she does a lot of the scheduling. When we were there last month it seemed that his carts didn't leave the Fort, they just transferred from one customer to another. As has been said, keep bugging him.
  8. I'm not understanding it - I have purchased form both Undercover Tourist and AAA and received the same discounted real Disney tickets.....
  9. Well now, take them out of the equation - Sandals it is. Great food and all you can drink. Lay on the beach, swim in the pool even SCUBA diving is included (not lessons if you are not certified). I would be willing to bet that if you took the recipe you can get a kungaloosh... http://www.wikihow.com/Make-a-Kungaloosh
  10. OK,, here is all I have to say about buying used: http://www.title-3.com/BuyUsed.htm Now, for insurance I would say talk to your fathers agent/company. It will reduce headaches later (if there is a claim) if both his liability and you collision polices are issued by the same company.
  11. As far as we are concerned it is the way to go. It is expensive at Sandals (there are other companies), but Sandals is first class all the way. I like arriving at the resort and putting my wallet away. There are add ons you can buy at the resort it is really not "in your face" (OK, except the girls trying to convince you to get a massage or spa treatment). If kids are on the trip "Beaches" is Sandals family resorts
  12. There were several TSBs, but never a recall. Agreed!! A good Ford Diesel mechanic is worth his weight in gold. Yes, EOT and ECT are two of about 100 things it can monitor. Ive thought about going with ARP headstuds, but just haven't made the move. Everyone tells me that once the EGR is bypassed the studs become a non issue unless you tune it and add HP. No tunes for me!
  13. Glad you made it home safely!! Nice to meet and talk to you at the Fort!
  14. So sorry to hear this I was one of the wonderful people Ford sold a 2004 truck but decided to give me a 2003 engine. That was always my worst fear while towing. I agree, aftermarket mods are the way to go with the 6.0. Lets see, through the years I have: 8 new style injectors FICM upgraded & tuned EGR Delete Blue Spring Mod New Oil Cooler New Y Pipe New Turbo Flushed Ford coolant and replaced with Zerex ELC Added Coolant Filter Replaced rear main seal Installed Insight CTS engine monitoring system Add Temp probe in exhaust manifold for Insight More flashes than I can count....
  15. IIRC, they had Catholic services weekly at the Polynesian Cove. That service and the donations funded the building of Mary, Queen of the Universe Shrine. Here is the history of the Shrne: http://www.maryqueenoftheuniverse.org/disneymass.html It's possible the 2 to 1 ratio is a carryover from the past.
  16. Well, we sat over a glass of wine before we left the Fort and talked about the parking issue. A major part of the plan we came up with was parking it in the daylight rather than at night the last time we tried. We came up with a game plan and continued to talk it over on the trip home. Pulled up at the new house just as the sun was setting (left FW a little later than we wanted to). The DW jumped out with a radio and started talking me through the plan. What do you know, it worked. Backed it into the driveway first try just as the sun set. I admit, with the turn I had to go off into
  17. I hope they work out all these details...... I like the concept, it just has growing pains.
  18. Well, this is an old thread, but it seemed like a good place to post my results of MBs & FP+ We had 6 days reserved in mid December at a full hook up site, room only reservation. We still had 3 days left on some old tickets so no need for tickets this time. About six weeks out we got the "you have been chosen" e-mail which allowed us to order/customize Magic bands. I ordered them and downloaded the MDE app for my iPhone & iPad. The MBs arrived about a month before arrival. Funny, but a week or so later I go the "you have been chosen" e-mail again. I just ignored this one. T
  19. I actually got the second e-mail before our arrival a the Fort and ignored it. They never shipped more and there were none waiting for us.
  20. Well, we made it home. I wasn't sure I would get the new camper in the driveway of the new house in SC, but with a little luck and the DW talking to me on the radio it went in first time. It was a wonderful FW trip, but as with all of them too short!! I think we are "within range" for the DW (8 hour drive, we leave after work - stop at the FLA line & sleep for a few hours then on to FW in the AM) . She has never been the fan that I am, but during this trip she said lets come back in May for teh EPCOT Flower Festival. Well, the reservations have already been made! It seems that as th
  21. We leave tomorrow and I'm happy to say we saw your show. Absolutely spectacular. As has been said you are talented. Thanks for your efforts!
  22. Sitting on the porch at TE waiting for our reservation time... Nice quiet day. Hiked the trail down toward the lodge, then cut back on the trail along the lake. Wandered around TCD checking out the horses and ponies. Went over to the Premium Outlets to drop more cash.... Oops, dinner time!
  23. Osborne lights were great as was Fantasmic. Hard to believe we had never seen either of them in all our trips here. Made it in to line for Rockin Roller Coaster jsit before closing so thT was a plus for the evening. EMH at the MK, so we jumped the direct bus there for a late night snack and to wander around. We caught the tail end of Wishes and the Main Street Electrical Parade. Walked on the Haunted Mansion then wandered around checking out the decorations. The things they are doing with the Castle are just amazing! Only two days left on our passes, so we are just hanging around today. I've h
  24. Well EPCOT was nice, got on Sorin, Mission Space, Captain EO, Spaceship Earth as well as a few others and just a little of the World Showcase, so far the Magic Bands are working well. The iPhone app has been hanging up on me so I have not been able to make FP changes on the fly. Back at FW for a snack and to take Niko for a walk. Seems a lot of folks have continued to leave, back in the 1800 & 1900 loops we seem to be somewhere better 50 & 75% occupancy. Gonna check out the Osborn Lights and hopefully Fantasmic tonight.
