  1. Well, the book was a little harsh - but when you compare what the author talks about to the comments by Fiends over the years they seem to match in many ways. The book is dated and really only covers the time period from Eisner taking over until just before he left. I found it an enjoyable read, but like I said - dated. They really showed how Disney changed after Eisner took over to a company that only cared about profits. Things I never knew were that under Eisner Disney was heavily into adult entertainment under ownership of Companies like Miramax Films and as a heavy investor in cable T
  2. Nope, no private watercraft on any Disney waterways. While they say it is for liability reasons I'm sure part of it is to be able to rent things.....
  3. It's nice in a couple of ways. First it's in the Citywalk area of Universal so you don't need a ticket to get to it. I like going over, walking through the shops and may be a drink at Margaritaville. Then on to dinner. I always make reservations for as soon as they open because you can request to sit at the "kitchen bar". It is a bartop with a half wall of glass in front of you looking into the kitchen. You can interact with the chefs and watch them work while you eat. I have had them let me try tastings of what they are working on. it makes for a fun dinner.
  4. I don't think I will be rushing over. For my Orlando "Fancy" meals I'll stick with Emeril's Orlando. Here are some reviews to get the flavor..... After this one I had to look up who Ben Shank was. Looks a little young to run a Four Seasons... Now, to be honest there are some positive ones, but they are very short - almost like the staff was told to post positive reviews. Finally, this response started getting added to reviews:
  5. I second this. We had a pop up for years and they are a pain for an overnight stop. On longer trips we always stopped at hotels, which was it's own adventure as we have always had one or two German Shepherd Dogs at a time.....
  6. I guess this answers my question on your other thread. Good choice
  7. It will go by quicker than you think. Did you buy close to home, or will you have to travel? Did you make a hitch decision?
  8. I did, and may have posted it here before. Our NC land. It's nice because i really don't have to winterize the trailer. While the garage space is not insulated, just being enclosed holds in the heat. In our recent cold snap the outside temperatures were going down below zero nightly and day time temperatures seldom got above freezing, but the interior of the garage held above freezing.
  9. Well, when we lived in Atlanta we found the mountains of western North Carolina and decided that would be our retirement home. So, we found 3 acres with 450' on a native trout stream and built a home for our trailer. This photo was taken during construction. Now, 8 years later the grass is nice and green and I have added concrete walkways around the building and driveway in front. The door is 15 feet wide and 14 feet tall with full clearance for the trailer the entire length of the barn. I went ahead and built it 50 feed deep in case we decided to move up to a coach. The road out f
  10. Yea, but like bhall, my wife is not allowed to use WiFi for work. As a matter of fact on all her work devices any RF (WiFFi, Bluetooth ect.) are disabled and are not accessible to the user. I wonder if you could bring your own cable modem? You can pick up a new one for less than $50 and a used one can be had for pennies..... Heck, I probably have one in a drawer already from an old house.
  11. So sad.... I seem to also remember one cat five jack for guests in the lobby also - I wonder if that is still there, just unused.....
  12. I haven't heard anyone talk about it in a while, but do they still have the "internet cafe" at the reception outpost? Once upon a tine you could go there and find multiple places to plug in a laptop and have internet access.
  13. What dates are you looking for? Type of site? And, this is the Jason of which they speak: Katman1356...Jason
  14. Yes, an order form/dealer sheet listing EVERYTHING! Year, Make, Model, Options, Colors and most importantly the final cost. If it's not inwriting they can deny ever agreeing to it. If the dealer is in GA they can handle tax, title & registration for you - but if out of state you may think about doing it yourself. I can't stress this enough, get the total cost in writing, If you do go with the ProPride, how much are they going to charge you to install it. It is not a five minute job and they have a right to be paid. You can buy the hitch from ProPride and have it shipped direct to
  15. When you say it like that my advice sounds bad.....
  16. I would skip Animal Kingdom in it's entirety for this trip. Wait until the kids are a little older for that one. I would also skip park hopping for this trip. You will have your hands full with the little ones. What is going to drive you nuts is figuring out what ticket you want. You will need 3 tickets, 2 adult and 1 child. Under 4, no tickets. Check out both the Disney Pricing, and Undercover Tourist where you can save depending on the ticket you buy. Memory Maker is $169 purchased in advance. Personally, you gotta really like photos to spend that.... Bring the golf cart and you
  17. Wow, how did I duplicate a post like that....
  18. South of the Border is your half way point, and while many plan that way I really like to push it a little harder on day one of travel and position myself for an earlier arrival at the Fort.
  19. You know your family, but are you sure you want to stop that soon? Mr. Google says that is only 4 1/2 hours from home. Add a little time because you are towing, but it's still a short travel day. I admit, I am know to push it, but I would get down as far as Ocala so I had a quick trip into the Fort in the AM.
  20. Heck, I moved to Miami in 1968 and I-95 was under construction. I moved out in 1999 and it was still under construction.
  21. Unfortunately, that is the case in the RV industry. If you buy the Coachmen your local dealer is Peco, but I have no idea how there service is now that they have been bought out by that "Yankee" RV dealer. Google "rv dealer refuses warranty service" and you will find a list of folks complaining about this issue. Apparently the RV industry dealer agreements allows dealers to refuse work and you have no recourse. If you call the manufacturer all they will tell you to do is take it to another dealer. Easy for them to say when the next closest dealer may be a couple of hours; and they may not
  22. Nothing is Florida is fast it seems. They are beginning a six year construction project on I-4 in Orange and Seminole counties. Entire article
