WOW!!! You sure do have an artistic eye. You're going to get a lot of ooh's and aah's on that. -
BATTERY DRAINING DOWN
Sensei replied to fishngjb's topic in RV Repairs on the Road, at FW and Elsewhere
Sounds like you have a battery cell on its' way out. Best thing to do is unhook from the coach, charge to full charge with a charger, then load test it. If that's not it, you've got some serious parisitic loads. I'd vote for the above though. -

Thanks for a great TR and the beautiful photos. Amazing what you can do with HDR. Also, Doodle, how do you find time to do a puzzle? You're always on here.:rofl2: -
Columbia Harbour House has always been one of my favorite lunch stops in the MK. As long as they still have the fish basket I'm happy. Might have to try their take on a lobster roll too. As far as the couscous, they can keep it. I do like salmon though. Guess they're trying to satisfy all tastes. Mo Money, Mo Money, Mo Money.

Thanks Rita. It was fun. I have another to do. Just need to get the time to do it.

Yep. You could sell a few of those ankle biters. You should get at least 10 bucks for the lot.:rofl2: :rofl2:

That would be great Doodle. Gotta tell you though, it costs $10.00 to get into the park. Cheaper if you're a Brevard County resident (which neither of us are). Small price to pay for getting pics of the Fiends leaving on their cruise though.

I think the cruise liners start departing around 4:00 P.M. Sure would be cool to get some pics. Wish I could.

Down by the Riverside (and Fort): A TCD End of Summer Trip Report
Sensei replied to Tri-Circle-D's topic in Trip Reports
Good to see pictures of the old FW boardwalk even though is in extreme disrepair. I used to fish off that many years ago. Successfully, I might add. Also somewhere in the swamp behind the boardwalk is or was one of the largest bald cypress trees in Florida. Hope it's still there. At one time, you could get very close to it. -
Thanks MM etc... You're lucky where you live that you can get a steady diet of these sunrises. Those were my favorite times when I was closer to the beach. Big cup of coffee, comfortable chair, sunrise. Doesn't get much better.

Well, if you're wanting to get rid of the kids, I'll take the 3 smallest. (NOT!!!):rofl2: Lovely family and I'm sure they are going to love the new RV as much as you do. My fondest memories of when my son was growing up was our camping trips with the old popup. -
Very cool pics. Thanks for adding that perspective to this thread. It adds another dimension for folks to see the inlet and park from both sides. From your vantage point, I can see why you thought the park was a barren wasteland. The best campsites are in fact back in the trees plus they have water and electric which is on my necessary list. I also caught your pic of the pilot boat. Neat. That's a magnificent idea about a "Bon Voyage" banner for the fiends departure. Sure wish I could do it, but already tied up. Maybe someone can though. One day I'm sure I'll get to see the park from the inle

That is really nice. Good for you. I wish you many, many happy trips with it. -
Yep, TCD. That ship is HUGE. Probably the largest I've ever seen close up. By the way, I had my binocs with me and actually watched the harbor pilot transfer back to his boat. That was way cool too. Never seen that before. As for the Norwegian/Royal Caribbean mess up, I did that while we were at the park also. For some reason I kept calling the ship Norwegian. Needless to say, I got corrected there also. It's tough when you get something in your head and it just won't go away. I didn't take many photos for the rest of the trip except the following which will close out this, my first, trip rep

:rofl2: See there. I'm still capable of screwing this TR up. Thanks to you and CC for correcting me. Dang you'd have thought I could read wouldn't you.:-[

The puff of smoke couldn't possibly be eminating from the Mouse could it? Yes it could. So much for the pitiful narrative. Here it is "When You Wish Upon A Star" suddenly floated through the air. So cool. That was definitely worth the wait. The crowd went wild. People yelling, both from the banks and from the ship. Happy  Take some time to check out the detail on this ship. Typical Disney fashion. Beautiful.

I tried to finish this TR a couple of times a while ago, but good old Photobucket decided to lock up on me. When I tried to close it's window, it closed all my windows. Oh, the fun of the internet.:rofl2: OK. Critters. (Only a couple). Since most of the time I was on the pier was for fishing, I didn't normally take my camera. But this time I did. This fellow definately wasn't intimidated by anyone. People walked within inches of him and he just sat there totally unconcerned. Maybe he was concentrating on how he could get into my bait bucket? Another bonus was something I didn't expect and mo

You're right about Seafood Atlantic. On our campsite scouting trip, we went there for lunch. Very good and not as expensive as I thought it would be. I also like the outside seating so I can watch the activity in the inlet. Fun stuff. Maybe one day we can have a FF GG at Jetty. Wouldn't that be cool?
-
Thanks TCD. You're certainly not "over rated". I enjoy your TR's and you set a fine example of how they can not only be a report, but an interesting story also. That's what I'm attempting to achieve. The west end of the campground is pretty open, but where were on the east end it's more shaded and private. Personally I like the campground and so do my family. I'm sure this will become one of our regular destinations in the future. To everyone else, thanks for your comments. This TR thing isn't too bad once you get into it. Next post, boats and critters as promised.

Oh No You Didn't !!!!!:o -
Moving on. BBB, if you like the beach and/or fishing and watching the boats, you'll love this campground. Up by the office, there is a gate that you can go through to get to the inlet. Interestingly, there are also campsites there also. They are water only though. Wouldn't be a good place to camp for more than a day or two if you don't have a generator. Also, there is absolutely no shade. Don't like that. Well, between the time we made our reservations and when we were to arrive, the shuttle launch got cancelled. We decided that we still needed a vacation so we went anyway. I was still not to

Well, I managed to screw it up again. I have corrected my errors, however, and will continue this in a bit. Obviously I didn't graduate from the TCD school of TR posting. Gonna get better though.

Reading the thread on the FF's Dream Cruise and Doodle's comment about not knowing Jetty Park existed made me want to try this trip report again. I've tried several other times, but I kept screwing it up. So here we go for another try. I think that if I blow this one, I'll just post pics which are self explanatory. Since this is my first actual TR post that will live, be kind. TCD I'm not but I'll do my best. Much like Doodlebug, I wasn't aware of Jetty Park either until the first of this year. Whoulda thunk it? Lived in Fla. all my life, travelled the entire state, and fished extensively o
