  1. Doesn't the battery lift off? The two we have, you can remove the batteries and take inside to charge.
  2. Wasn't it fun?.. .. In 1971 we did a similar trip after our wedding. Spent our honeymoon in New Orleans and then had to get back to the base. Cincinnati to New Orleans to El Paso to San Diego. Definitely glad I was a lot younger.
  3. The other thing with those cabins, NO A/C. That was a separate mobile home unit sitting outside and ducted in. So that will be an additional cost.
  4. It actually depends on where you are. Some localities have no problem allowing grey water directly on the ground. We've been RVing since 1972 with a club. Many rallies have been in areas where the direct dumping of grey water on the grass has been allowed and other areas where it is a no, no.
  5. I would have Air Force son check at SHADES OF GREEN for room rates and availability.
  6. Pony rides are "parents leading around the enclosure". Can't address the carriage/wagon, never done them, but they are usually busy.
  7. No, it's GLAMPING and that's what us "old farts" do.
  8. They use their CM ID at the back gate at the FORT, they never see the guard shack.
  9. We've discussed it before, but CM's also have full access to the RESORTS and even though they have their own rec center many prefer the FORT. I've also seen that happen if there is a group using a loop. Those who don't camp show up during the day and if they don't spend the night the 10 person rule doesn't apply.
  10. I wonder if that's the Resort they use for most CM rates. A crochety former bus driver got us a room in June and that's where we were. First time there and we really liked it, much preferred over POR. Had two nights there, our room was right by the pool in Bldg 2.
  11. The one "in" Windemere is hard to find, but the one on 535 in Lake Side Plaza is easy. It also has a Windemere mailing address however.
  12. We enjoy it more as well. It's fun watching the kids and their interaction with the characters.
  13. If you only have a 13,500 yes a 15,000 would help, but that's as big as they come.
  14. You can only expect about a 20 degree temp differential on any RV unit. You have to remember the entire unit is sitting in the heat. 20-25 degree drop is also the standard for home units, but there the evaporator & blower is normally all inside the house out of the heat and sun.
  15. Publix.. Left out of the FORT on Vista, left on 535 and it's about 5 miles. Never had any traffic except what's on Vista.
  16. The majority of products are now formaldehyde free. Also RID-X is making an RV product available at Wally World and Amazon which we have used. Not because of a septic tank but the enzyme digesters make sense. With that said, the reason most campgrounds had septic trouble with formaldehyde products was the shear volume being dumped into the system at one time when campers left. From everything I've read small amounts really have no adverse affect. Hurry up and get it done I need a cheap place to stop when coming down I-65...
